PROLOGUE: The Shadow of War
War: The First Crusade// Battle: The Battle for Minas Morgul
Mercy.
By the grace of the Matati, you and your people were rescued from oblivion.
He came you as your world crumbled. He offered you a second chance. A second home.
You took it.
With his support, your city thrived. Soon, your city grew into a nation. Your nation grew into a Kingdom.
The Matati isn't just your King. He is your mentor. He is your mediator. He is your protector. He is your friend.
But in the eyes of some, he is an oppressor.
The idea of an undying, unchanging King unnerves the Kingdom of Mordor.
It's ruler, King Talion of Mordor, has denounced the Matati. He blames him for the troubles that plague the 25 Realms.
What started out as a exchange of harsh words has escalated into an open war.
Mordor does not fight alone. Some of its allies share Talion's dream of a 'Free' Patchworld. Others are fighting for their own self-interest.
Collectively known as the Dark Rebellion, Talion's army attempted to march on the Capital Kingdom three nights ago.
An Alliance of the Matati's Loyalists was formed to repel Talion's invasion. After a bloody battle at the Capital's Gates, the First Great Alliance successfully forced Mordor's armies to retreat.
Seeking retribution for the lives lost at the Capital's Gates, the Great Alliance now marches on Mordor's capital city- Minas Morgul- to stamp out the Dark Rebellion once and for all.
The Matati has called for a Crusade. The 25 Nations are each required to commit a fraction of their forces to the coming conflict, lest they be counted among the legions of the Matati's foes...

Pledging Units
Once a war is declared, the parties involved are presented with an opportunity to pledge troops to the coming conflicts.
In simpler terms, each player 'donates' some of their stats in order to boost the strength of their alliance. The more stat points you donate, the greater your reward will be in the event your Alliance wins the war. The more stat points you donate, the more powerful your alliance will become.
Remember:
- If you are involved in a war, you must donate at least 1 (one) stat point.
- If you are participating in a war, you must send at least one of your generals into battle.
- You can donate units to fight in areas where your generals are not present. For example, you can donate Naval units, even if you generals are only fighting on Land. These units will still increase the strength of your alliance, but they will be fighting off-screen. You will only 'play' as the troops accompanying your generals, for simplicity's sake.
- If you wish, you can send your Ruler off to war too. If you do so, you will greatly boost your Ruler's reputation and allow you to personally control more soldiers.
- Anybody on the battlefield can die.
- You do not want your Ruler to die. Keep this in mind when you're choosing which of your leaders to send off to war.
- If the war is going poorly, you can retreat with your generals and any remaining units. You can do this at any time. Sometimes it's better to cut your losses and live to fight another day. Doing so will weaken your Alliance, however.
- You can donate as many Stat Points as you like, but remember to leave some points in the bank. You don't want to leave your Kingdom undefended while you're off fighting overseas.
-There will be a chance to regain/ boost your stats later on. Don't worry.

The First Great Alliance Dominates the Seas.
The Dark Rebellion Dominates the Skies.
The Dark Rebellion has the advantage on Land.
Advantages
Advantages play a big role in deciding who is going to win a battle. Simply put, an advantage is earned when one alliance's stats are larger than their opponents in a given field. For example, the First Great Alliance has a stronger Navy than the Dark Rebellion. Thus it will be easier for the First Great Alliance to win a battle at sea. It's more difficult to win a battle without an advantage, but there are always ways to turn the tide IC. Fighting effectively with your generals is a great way to do this!
Remember
- It is up to an Alliance's Generals to turn the tide. By defeating enemy soldiers, an Alliance is able to decrease the enemy's stats and turn the tide.

- You won't always need to annihilate an enemy army. You only need to defeat enough troops and generals to force an enemy Kingdom to cut their losses and retreat.
- Even if alliance is at a disadvantage, the right strategy can help to even the odds.
- Use your heads. Divide an conquer. Distract, cheat and fight dirty to keep your allies alive.
LAND- The Battle of the Black Earth
The Forces of Mordor engage the Forces of Hyrule
The Dark Rebellion has an advantage.

The corpse of another mighty orc- a foot soldier of Mordor -falls to the ground, having been slain by a Hylian arrow. Even in death, the creature continues to suffer humiliation at the hands of the forces of Minas Morgul. It's beaten flesh is pounded to pulp by the feet of a thousand wailing orcs. They care not for their fallen ally. They care for nothing but the hunt. They care for nothing but the thrill of war. Their rusted weapons and stained teeth shine with every flash of distant thunder. The Orcs march forth like sickening, stinking wave. They bring death whether they go. Hylian soldiers are falling left right and center. They don't just bring death. They have become death.

"FOR THE BRIGHT LORD!"
An orc screams over the groan clattering of steel and the wails of the wounded. His mace meets skull of one of a Wind Tribe Diviner. The Orc bathes himself in the blood of man-filth.
"DEATH TO THE MATATI! DEATH TO THE BASTARD KI--"
A Hylian blade divorces the Orc's head from his shoulders. The Creature of Mordor's lips continue to tremor and twitch even though his fate has been sealed. The Hylian takes a moment to breathe. It's his last mistake. He is crushed beneath the fist of Wretched Graug- a brutish Mordian Giant- a moment later.

"GGHHHAHAAAAGGGHHH!!!!"
The Beasts of War are marching today. Pity all the men who stand in their path.
The Graug swings its great arms at the heart of a Hylian battalion. A dozen soldiers are set flying like drops of water from a crashing wave. The Captain of the Battalion scurries across the battlefield on his back. He lost his sword an hour ago. His are lost to him too. He is helpless. Afraid. All he can do is crawl. All he can do is pray that some divine hand spares him from the weight of the charging Graug.
He closes his eyes and waits for the inevitable. It never comes. He opens his eyes to see the shadow of the Graug's foot hovering above him. He opens his eyes to see the shadow of a woman and her great sword standing between him and death's embrace.

"Rise. The battle is not yet won!"
Impa, the last of the Sheikah and the final, triumphant General of Hyrule, pushes against her great blade. She tips the lumbering beast onto its back as if it were weightless.
"Rise! For you Queen fights for you today!"
In a flash of gold, the Graug's float is slit. Queen Zelda lands at the beast's side. Her thin blade is stained with black, Mordorian blood.

"We aren't... we aren't beaten yet..." She hums, hiding her fading strength the best she can. She offers the soldier a bloody hand. "Our allies in the west will be here soon." She spins her sword around in her hand. She offer the Captain its hilt. He takes her blade. "We just need to hold out until then. Just another few minutes. Do you think you can do that, soldier?"
The Captain nods.
"Good. More soldiers will be upon us any minute now. We'll need every man on his feet when they arrive. Go. Join up with the others."
The Captain nods again. A glimmer of hope shines in his tired eyes. He sprints over a ridge and vanishes in the evening fog.
"Are you certain, your highness?" Impa squints, approaching her queen. "Do you truly believe that we can do this?"
"I don't know what I believe in, dear Impa..." The Queen smiles softly. "But I have hope."
"What good will hope do when we're all being roasted over an orc dinner-fire?"
"It won't do us much good then, no..." She chuckles. "But for every moment until then? Hope shall sustain us. Our allies will arrive in time. They must."
The cries of a hundred more orcs screech over the horizon, their armor glowing in the light of distant fires. Impa lowers her stance once again. She raises her weapon. She stares Mordor's reinforcements.
"And if they do not come?"
"Then we will fall... but we will fall gloriously knowing that we bought our people even a few more moments of freedom."
Impa stares death in the face. She smiles.
"I can't think of a better end to our story, your highness."

"There she is, boys!" Bruz, the leader of the reinforcements cheers. "Focus on the Queen! Bring me 'er spine! I've been meaning to buy a new backscratcher!"
The wall of Orcs charges towards the scattered forces of Hyrule. With a valiant cry, the forces of Hyrule march towards their foes.
They're outnumbered 2 to 1. Without assistance, they won't last long

AIR- The Battle of the Black Heavens
The Forces of Mordor and Kingdom Cold engage the Forces of Sparda.
The Dark Rebellion has an advantage.
[B O O M]
The Jaws of a Nazgul's Fellbeast open wide, spraying a wave of emerald flames over the forces of the First Great Alliance. The charred steel bodies of a dozen Alto Angels fall from the skies like silver meteors. The Nazgul doesn't pay the screaming Angels a moment of thought. His attention is fixed upon their still-breathing brothers. He feels a wave of fear wash over them. It burns twice as bright and three times as fiercely as any fire. Yes. The Nazgul can taste it. He raises his sword. His brothers charge forth. Flames roar and more Angels fall.
"..."
The Nazgul are silent. They have no words for the forces of Fortuna. Men rarely exchange words with their meals.
[BOOM]
The wall of flames is shattered by a dark sword and shield. The Dark Knight of Fortune pieces the Nazgul's chest with his blade. In a flash of smoke, the Ringwraith vanishes, fleeing to safe shores. Credo knows he'll be back. He can sensing plotting his return, even now. But his charge secured his men another inch of sky. He doesn't take the time to enjoy his victory. His mind is already turning to the next battle.

"Push through!" He commands his Angels. "Don't let your fears consume you! These Demons will fall before the Sparda's Chosen People, so decrees our God!"
Their hearts igniting, the Angels of Fortuna soar in their king's wake.

"Leave this place!" The Dragon King cries. Volga unleashes a primal screech. The force of his cry is enough to slow his advancing foes. With a swish of his tale, he turns another Angel to ash. "Scurry back to you hovels and holes!"

Cannon fire shakes Mordor's Eastern Coast. The Brotherhood's finest led cannon balls bounce harmlessly off of the armored hull of the Plasma Frigate. The Brotherhood Captain trembles. All he has succeeded in doing is attracting the mighty ship's attention. The Frigate slowly turns to face it's 'attacker'. It engines roar and groan. It's large, front-mounted canon is line up with the Brotherhood's vessel's wooden hull. Decades of impossible scientific discover stares the Brotherhood Captain in the face. His crew abandon ship.
"Sacre Deus..."
A blast of pressurized, cold air blasts the Man o' War into splinters.
"Adéwalé!" An assassin calls out to his king. "We cannot sink that devil-machine! We don't stand a chance!"
The Grim General of the Brotherhood falls silent for a heartbeat. He tightens his grip around his ships's wheel. His eyes meet those of the Plasma General that stands upon the Frigate's deck, taunting him.
"Let all the fathers of children flee. Let them return home to their families."

"The rest of us... all who wish to remain... prepare to ram Her."
"Captain?" His first mate protests. "You surely don't intend to--"
"My ship has seen better days. We all have. I'd rather see her sunk off Mordor's coast than rotting in some Caribbean Shipyard. The same goes for me. But I won't force you to share my fate, friend. You have served me as well as the Experto Crede herself. Go, if you wish. We'll board the Frigate if we can... drag her down with us..."
Adéwalé's first mate bestows one final salute upon him. His captain rewards him with a final slap on the back.
The Frigate's canon fires again. Another explosion rocks the seas. A dozen more ships are sent to Davy Jones' locker. But Adéwalé steers true. The Experto Crede soars from wave to wave. The General raises his hand high.
"For Liberty!"
