"Damn..." Jianyu was stunned to hear Biscuit's age. You wouldn't have been able to tell from the way she looked and acted that she was, like, grandma old. "You got some special skincare routine you use?"

Gentaro approached Biscuit with a shocked look on his face.

“You’re 57!?” Gentaro shouted, before his face lit up with happiness.

“AMAZING!! What kinda cream are you using? My friend Miu would love to know that!”

A pause lingered on the two. Clark closed his eyes as Azura shared her feelings on the situation

"Yeah, It's best not to think about it."

As Giorno sighed, Clark smirked. Looing at duo, Clark lightly back up

"Giorno and Touma, right? I'm glad to work with you. I'll be honest, I was sort of just drafted in to this whole "war" thing. "

Another pause.

"I just don't want anyone more to suffer. I've failed enough."

Clark sighed before his eye's bolted towards the little girl.

".....Is that a twelve year old?"

Giorno maintained a measured stare towards Clark as he introduced himself. It felt as if he was staring right through Clark - sharp, green eyes evocative of some overwhelming power hiding beneath his civil exterior. Without smiling back, but keeping an amicable face, Giorno nodded with Clark.

"That's noble of you, Clark Kent."

Giorno said no more, reshifting his focus back to the rest of his makeshift 'gang'. Luckily, Billy was able to extinguish the argument before Giorno would've been obliged to step in, though he didn't react as Biscuit trampled in on the peace with her shouting. Likewise, it wasn't any surprise to find out moments later that she isn't as old as she looks. He quietly sighed again, taking a moment to fix his golden curls as well as his uniform. How did he know?

Kids are petty, but they aren't as petty as adults.

With that out of the way, there seemed to be no distractions left. Giorno straightened his coat, glancing back over at Billy. "How much longer is it going to take before we can get going?"

Azure Kite
Kite inhaled a sharp breath. Still a bit tense, he couldn't help but flinch into a cautious stance as he saw the other's aura. He reminded himself that he was an ally, and forced his body to relax with a deep inhale.

He shook his head dejectedly. "No... Aura... My Aura... is... a pretty lady..."

He raised a hand above his head by a few inches, humming silently to himself. "This tall..." His hands then trailed down his back, trying to mimick Aura's flowy, cascading hair. "...White hair."

This isn't going anywhere, is it?

He dragged a hand down his face and slumped down into a disappointed heap on the ground. Who could even say Aura was still alive? He wanted to act, and he wanted to act now. He was getting antsy from standing around, but he was stuck here with no clue where to start. "Ne'rmind..." he grumbled.

His head had started to hurt again. It was frustrating! He'd never felt so debilitated before.

"How... can I find her...?" he finally asked, "I need to...!"

Mason Moretti
@Minerva @mintyy

Mason was at a loss for words at first. He could feel this kid about to fall into despair over his lost friend. He understood how difficult it would be to deal with such a loss. Very gently, he knelt down to lay a hand on the shoulder of a slumped-over Kite. It was clear that Billy's initial explanation didn't quite cut it for Kite. Mason tried to find the words to explain the situation, but none would come.

"How... can I find her...?" he finally asked, "I need to...!"

Instead, Mason found words that might comfort Kite. "I know you need to find her. I know you want to keep her safe. That's what we're going to do here. We're going to save everyone, everywhere. There's a big bad guy keeping her trapped in one place. We're gonna beat him, and save everyone, including Aura. Stay by me, and I'll make sure you get back to her. I promise." Mason stood up and offered a hand to help Kite to his feet. He knew he was making a big promise. He couldn't even be sure that they would succeed, but he knew that having hope would be important for everyone here.

"I'll try to keep you safe, but... can you defend yourself?"

"Yup. A banner of hope. We all come from different places, but some of us know each other. I'm sure we can work together, and..."

As he spoke, a cacophony of voices bickered back and forth nearby. Angsty teens, cold-blooded killers, terrifyimgly innocent little girls. Mason's smile looked a little more strained as he tried to block it out. He thought, "I'm used to these adventures having a motley crew, but it sounds like we're going to tear each other apart before we even begin."

He took a deep breath and released all of his tension in a sigh. "The multiverse, yeah. Big stuff, but we can save it."

Hearing a familiar word grabbed his attention. He looked towards this kid that walked up towards the group. "Aura?" he asked, "Do you mean like this?" He held out his hand and it began to glow with a small purple light. It was a piece of his aura, his very soul, and what fueled his abilities.

"Or... does Aura mean something else where you're from?"

While others seemed to be used to the concept of the multiverse already, Mason got the feeling this was one of this kid's first adventures beyond his home world.

Triss thought back to Caer Morhen and the Witchers. To Yennefer, Dandelion, and Geralt. They were all dysfunctional, but they managed to fight and be heroes in their own way.

"One way or another we'll figure it out." Triss said, shaking her head. She looked towards Kite and Mason.

Triss had cared for Ciri back at Caer Morhen. If there was a child here, especially if they had magic or some similar power, Triss would also take up that mantle with Mason, for training and protection. This would be another pilgrimage, another trial.

"Indeed. If you need any help learning, I'd be glad to teach." Triss said, offering a smile.

“What sort of exercise removes uh...” Gentaro said, pausing to try and calculate the math problem 57-12, “Fourty-five! Yes! What sort of exercise removes 45 years from your face?”

Touma would be familiar with the murderous stare of a woman as Biscuit glared at him.

Shaking his head, Clark turned back to Giorno. There was something about the young man that had Clark's interest peaked. Maybe it was the way he held himself? As Giorno stared Clark down, smirked as the man turned away. Clark called towards him.

Cullen gave Jianyu a bit of a smirk. "Yeah, it helps a bit."

As for Biscuit, Cullen could not care less about what she had to say. "The grown-ups are speaking, okay?"

Billy just shook his head once it seemed tensions had calmed down and put his attention toward Emily. He regarded her for a moment, realizing he didn't recognize her.

Qf3w0UI.png

"With the power we have?" he repeated. "No. Not at all. But that's why I think what we do next really matters. My power was drained gathering all of you, but if we can lower Revan's hold on reality, then the Demiurge's power will grow in turn. That means pulling more people out of their loops. Do you... understand? Because honestly, I'm not even sure I really understand."

@Yun Lee @Jeremi @York
Emily Hayes
@Atomic Knight @Yun Lee @Jeremi @Others?

Emily nodded slowly, understanding the kind of predicament they were in; she was reminded of her first days in Alledia, back when she was still inexperienced with using her stone's powers, and many stronger, more capable stonekeepers were fighting her with all their might.

Back then, it was also a matter of loosening the enemy's hold on their power, and gathering those that might be capable of fighting back, forming a resistance.

v9gDQar.png

"I think I do understand; the one that gives you your powers, they wish to weaken Revan's hold on the multiverse. And that means we free those still trapped in time, forming a resistance, right?" She asked.

Her stone glowed, as if responding to her thoughts. Though it seemed that she wasn't able to hear Ikol's voice, something that had happened last time she had been taken from her own world, she had managed to retain the new powers she had gained.

There was just no telling how long these powers might last, but for now... She intended to use them to the best of her ability, to save not just her Universe, but the multiverse as a whole.

While she wasn't well versed in interdimensional travel, she at least had an idea how to break time loops. After all, she had traversed the void a few times, and had been faced with similar problems before, just on a smaller scale.

He then gazed upon Sinestro's power warily. Siegward had never seen such a skilled pyromancer before; nobody could control flame enough to put it to shape like that. Even the best pyromancers would end up burning themselves alive if they tried.

In any case, the word 'multiverse' further put a bad taste in his mouth, and he didn't feel like drinking at the moment. It triggered vague memories of being transported to another world by the God Hand. Surely that couldn't be happening again. After all, the group wasn't in a hellscape, they were just standing under a mundane light!

Kite blinked up at Mason owlishly. "Big... bad guy..." he echoed. Mason's words gave him the shove in the right direction, and he now had a clear goal in his mind.

To beat the lights out of this big bad guy, whoever he was.

He accepted his hand and stood back up. As an Azure Knight, showing such weakness was shameful. Kite slapped himself. Hard.

"I'll try to keep you safe, but... can you defend yourself?
"Indeed. If you need any help learning, I'd be glad to teach." Triss said, offering a smile.

"It's... okay."

He wished he could put his gratitude into words, but alas, talking had never been his strong suit as it had been underdeveloped even when he was an AI. He wanted to tell them that he wasn't some defenseless kid.

Then, he was struck with a sudden realization. If he was in a completely different world, would his powers even work...?

He took a deep breath and closed his eyes, channeling all of his energy into the palm of his hands. They began to glow a bright, blinding yellow. Slowly, he drew his daggers. It took him all of his focus, but after a few seconds, he finally susucceeded.

Emtpy Skies, the daggers he'd been programmed with, were gripped tightly in his hands.

Had he been back in The World, summoning his weapon could've been done easily. This was going to take a some getting used to, along with his strange new body.

He nodded his head, returning Triss' smile with his own, smaller one.

"I can fight... Do not worry..."

At first, Doctor Langa felt a genuine surge of fear when he approached the street light in the dull void. He feared that the entities of the Untext were finally out of patience, and, before he could notice, they had begun their degradation of reality into madness.

View attachment 6414

But he heard the words of the young men, Cullen and Wiccan, was it? Auras of preternatural power were among them all - not unlike that of many of his enemies or sometime allies - and he felt no sense of Scholomantic necromancy. Was this an attack by the Unknown Patrol, or Gaheris MacLot? The forces of Satan from the United States West Coast? He instantly shut his eyes, took a deep breath, and gathered his mystic and mental shields together, along with a silent supplication to Papa Legba.

Eventually, he could see it was a waste of energies. He was here to play out whatever strange cosmic game this was.

And perhaps learn new sorceries along the way.

And speaking of the devil....

Doctor Langa bowed his head formally towards Lucifer. "Baron Carrefour - it is my honor to serve at your side in this quest." He gestured, his aim to use his high sorcery and conjure a bottle of the finest rum from the Dominican Republic to give to this avatar of one of his recognized loas. But he was in a void, a field of nothingness. There was no reserve of rum, no Dominican Republic, from where to summon his gift.
