Favorite Console Generation

With the 8th console generation in full swing, it's only fair to look back at previous generations and how they shaped gaming into the powerhouse it is today.

What console generation is your favorite and why? For me, it would have to be this one:

I love this generation because it was the one that solidified me as a gamer. It also had the most innovation both software and hardware wise in my opinion and to me, it was the last generation that actually showed uniqueness between the consoles.

My favorite console from this generation is obviously the PS2 for many reasons but I also adore the Xbox (which is criminally underrated). As for the GameCube, while I don't treasure it as much as others do, I still enjoyed it and found it to be a positive experience.

As for the Dreamcast, these are my main thoughts about it:

I gotta agree with you here. The GameCube holds a special place in my heart as it was the first console I ever owned. Ps2 was also a huge part of my childhood

I love the GameCube soooo much. Although the graphics aren’t like they are today, they gave a lot of people, like me, a taste of what it’s like to have a home console to play your favorite games on.

I also am a fan of the GameCube. It was one of the first consoles my family owned, and some of my favorite games are on it, including Godzilla: Destroy all Monsters Melee, Pokemon XD Gale of Darkness, Sonic Adventure 1&2, Animal Crossing, Mario Kart: Double Dash, and Super Smash Bros. Melee. I still have mine today, and every now and again I'll hook up the little lunchbox to my TV and play some games.
