    "Thanks...I guess," Alexander replied, a bit uncertain. He was glad he was being careful this time, but he wasn't sure if he could trust himself with more breakable items at a job.

    "Oh, sorry," Alexander accepted the towel and finished drying the dishes. He put them back, doing his best to be careful.

    Nodding, Alexander dried off the dishes with paper towels, being as gentle as possible with the more fragile pieces. He did his best putting them back in their places.

    "My pleasure," the avian gave the magician a bright smile as he placed the last of the dishes in the second sink. "This place got a dishwasher?"

    "Washing the dishes," Alexander responded, perplexed. He put his clean bowl in the second sink and got to work on the rest.

    "I think the internet is the best place to start first. I don't want to disturb Tinker while she works," Alexander replied, putting his dishes in the sink and washing them.

    The birdman nodded. "Where are you thinking we start looking?"

    "True," Alexander sniffed, a tiny smile gracing his features.

    Alexander nodded in thanks and wiped his face dry. "It's just harder than it seems, and with the holidays around the bend, that makes it even harder."

    Alexander squeezed his teary eyes shut. He couldn't do retail, he had no post-secondary education, and he had no work experience. This was going to be much harder than he thought. A single tear trickled down his feathery face.

    "I'm not sure. I don't think I'd do well with administrative stuff, considering I can't get my head on straight sometimes."

    "I'm honestly not sure. I know I could never do a job where I'm constantly needed. I'd like a typical nine-five position," the avian said.

    "Yeah, guess so. Maybe I'll just stay out of retail," Alexander replied, swallowing his last bite of the stew.

    "Tell me about it. This one time I was pushing a kart of juice that had just arrived, and I slammed it into one of those display things they have in the middle of the isles. Several glass stuff was broken that day," Alexander ducked his head ashamedly at the end. "Guess I'm unfit for retail."

    Alexander chuckled lightly. "That wasn't necessarily me having too much fun, just me not thinking clearly and being clumsy."

    "Oh. Well, whatever job I get, I'm going to do my best to do good at it and have fun," Alexander said.
