As I look at you
Little flower
With your brightly colored petals
That seem to glow when the sun touches them
I see a simple and yet profound beauty
That tells me of a gardener
Who's gentle hand has nurtured and cared for you
And gave you a place in His garden

Your life,
Little flower,
Though short, and sweet
Will serve a purpose
In giving the gardener glory
And all those who walk in His garden
Shall take pleasure in smelling your sweet fragrance
And in beholding your vivid colors

So, do not grieve
Little flower
Because of your small stature
Or your short life
For this great, beautiful, garden is made
Of ones just like you
