Silas

Imperatus Rex

Semper Imperatus
"Greetings Mr Silas, nice to see you here again." The assistant says with a wide grin, wide enough to look painful. Silas walks into the room, and sees his desk untouched since the last week he had been there. Sitting in the chair, he notices that the dust had never been cleaned, and the lamp was still shining. He clicks the mouse, and the computer roars to life from the dormant rest. "Windows Vista Home Premium" Is displayed on the screen momentarily, and the desktop home page is as he left it.

He looks around his office, he had no paperwork. "I finished the forms last time... surely there would be fresh batches..." He mumbles to himself as he stares at the empty file drawer. He checks his email, and sees the last one addressed as February 19th, a week ago. He checked the spam, nothing new. He fidgets awkwardly in the chair, he felt uncomfortable with this lack of news.

He returns to the home screen, and double clicks on blender. The last scene is there, untouched, unaltered. He clicks F12 to see the render, so he could resume where he left off. The program shut down, because there was an error with the render parameters. "I haven't fixed that yet..." He admits to himself, looking at the home screen.

He stands up to leave the office, but the office door isn't there. There was a door indeed, but it was a bedroom door. It had taped schematic blueprints on it, just like it was left. He opens the door, and sees a flight of stairs to his right, as there should be. He returns to the desk and sits down, he sees a teacup. He grabs the handle and swigs it, not caring if it is a week old. He realizes his mistake upon swigging, and spills the rest of the tea on his clothing as it burned him... it was still hot, as he left it.
