"Rodents..." Sinestro tutted. "You run in fear of rodents? Humanity... you sit atop your planets food chain, and you flee from these bottom feeders." Thaal's ring began to pulse and glow. He rolled his fingers and thinned his eyes.

"Such headstrong creatures... It's high time they learned their place..."
Sinestro raised his ring. He clenched he law.
"You march towards an Apex Predator, little ones...'
His fist began to burn with a golden light. The light reached out to form vibrant, shimmering ribbons which twisted and turned upon themselves. Guided by his the strong hand of his will, he carved and weaved the burning lights into...
Snakes...
As many snakes as there were moments in a week.
Each as large as a dog.
They hissed and snarled and snapped their jaws at the horde before them, each hungrier than the next. Thaal fed upon the fear of his allies. He feasted upon the primal fear that would soon infect the rodents. He channeled their terror into his new pets. They grew larger and more ferocious by the second.
"Predators do not flee. Predators no not cower. Predators... we hunt."
With a lackadaisical wave of his hand, his predator horde leaped into action. Some would coil and crush their prey. Some would bite and mangle them. Other would swallow them hole. His snakes would fight and kill and die and multiply. They would do whatever it took to slow the horde. They would do whatever it took to spread fear among the ranks of their prey.
Standing firm, Thaal redoubled his efforts. He called forth a second wave of snakes. He summoned third wave, and a fourth. Each wave was ready to move into place when their father called them, waiting patiently in the meantime like a coordinated, well-trained battalion.
On a whim, he would wave his hand and send his next set of pets off to war.
If the problem really was like a severed limp, then Thaal would simply have to cauterize it. It would burn like his power.
