Article 13/11

For those who live in Europe, the EU recently passed Articles 13 and 11 which essentially mean the end of the internet as we know it. Although I'm an American, I'm quite angry and saddened for Europe because they probably won't have access to the full force of the internet which has done such amazing things that they're unspeakable.

I won't be surprised if sites like Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc end up limiting access to EU consumers just so they won't be wrongfully fined up the ass and sued to oblivion by people who shouldn't even be in power and need to feel the full wrath of what the internet can do when it's pissed off.

Tis a sad day for the internet :(

I personally am in favor of both articles, as they protect the rights of creators, such as for example writers. Their effectiveness depends greatly on how the EU countries implement them though.

I'm not familiar with this, so I can't comment much on it, I can say however I'm friends with someone from the EU and they haven't mentioned it so it doesn't seem to be such a big deal? It could be and they just don't know, but, it seems everything is still as is?
