A Calming Song Bird

Drakey

A shape-shifting Dragon God
A Calming Song Bird

In the morning light of day, I see you,
Quiet as the sleeping song bird you lay.
The bright sun rising showing in the dew.
Your form waking from the midnight blue hay.

My raging heart in your embrace, made calm.
To see the world in blood red eyes, appears
You, to ease myself with outreaching palms.
A hug, so mild, to drive away the fear.

The sun, now high, dimly compares to thee.
Night foreshadowed, runs to hide from the light,
Running opposite from a brightly fee.
Myself, returning to you Dark in flight.

My blood, calling to you, to find that which,
Brings me to you, a good soul in the niche.
