Bitter Wishes

The Unintentional Pariah
Bitter Wishes

I watch people come and go
I watch and wait in winter snow
I think about life's choices
I think of my friends sorrow
And their wish for a better tomorrow
I see my friends fall
I run to catch them all
Yet after all is done
Who will come
when I have fallen numb?
Some suffer with another
Some suffer in the midst of all the others
I will falter on my own
Among the hundred-thousand tears
I release all my fears
In hopes that one day
You come to me and say
"Peace be thine, you gave away.
May I bring you what you seek
In turn for your heart to keep."
May freedom be ours to see
May we find a chance to fly
Amidst the color faded Sky
From my heart to yours
May love ring true
Through the middle of the night
In the darkness will I save us from the fright
In horrors shall we never part
May we never go back to the start
My love for you continues through the night
Never to shy from bitter light
Am I destined to be alone
Sifting through the unknown
With no chances brought to sight
No one by my side
With a head filled with dreams
May my heart play the melody
Of the one who brings
Joy to the world
And let's freedoms flag unfurl
Then drifts away
no longer can they stay
In the end were they ever there
Did they even care
What thought was left behind
To make me feel this way
You never came to love
You only came to play
And now I can't get away
You left me here this day
To watch the skies fade to gray
And let my colors loose
With nothing left to choose
But death be by my side
Awaiting my deride
To crush my heart and take my soul
To never fulfill my rightful role
May you never go
For no one can truly bare
To see someone so fair
Suffer to such a careless error
With bitter wishes left
In the midst of my despair
