Brainstorming for a story

I was saying the monsters over ran humanity.

Most. The monsters are more powerful then most humans. But there was a lack of communication. So rather then try to understand they just faught each other like some people still do in rl. yes their would obviously still be humans but no government outside the small town the characters grew up in.

maybe some small settlements like their own.

Yeah thats what i was thinking. Monsters took humans as slaves, but there were few monsters who helped humans

naturally some monsters would have slaves. each monster civilization would rule their own way even maybe. it would be a post apocalyptic setting almost.
