Akashic Arcana Extra Curricular Activities Part I: Runic Dancing.

Neti didn't go on the offensive right off the bat. Instead he stood there, motionless except for his steady breathing. His eyes stared in her general direction, dark and empty, but it would almost feel that he was sizing up her defenses. Plotting the best way to take her down.

Slowly, Neti raised his left foot, inching it forward with the pace that even a snail complain about. As his foot touched the ground, he'd spring into sudden movement, closing the distance between them in a motion.

Neti thrusted his his right palm out at her, aiming to strike her square in the chest with enough force to send her sprawling to the ground. However, compared to his earlier speed, this one seemed a little slower. And there was a slight hesitation after his dash and before he struck out with his palm.

Kaila waited on tenterhooks for Netis attack. She had to remind herself to breath regularly, trying to calm herself. When he finally did move, she flinched involuntarily, almost making her miss his actual movement towards her.

She noticed the hand shooting towards her just in time to lean backwards enough so it passed over her body, letting gravity pull her body downwards. She caught herself in a back arch to slow the fall, then dropped fully to the floor and rolled to the side, aiming to come up on her senseis left with enough distance to let her get fully back on her feet before he reached her.

Like his sudden burst of speed before, Neti burst into a sudden burst of movement: he flipped towards, body spinning in mid-air as he oriented himself, facing where Kaila had retreated off to. Keeping the momentum of his flip, the flow of his actions chaining together in perfect union, he leapt forward in a roll that was similar to one of her earlier attacks.

As he came out of the roll, he had already closed in the gap between the two of them, and he launched his left leg outwards in a textbook leg sweep. His attack was aimed to take her legs out from underneath her just as she getting back onto her feet. Normally, the pause between his roll and his kick would be minimal, each move flowing from one to the other. This time though, he let the transition linger a little longer, giving even a novice the chance to see the attack before it came.

After all, this was training, he needed to teach and not win.
