"Lucifer was an angel too, wasn't he?"

It is currently the year 2016, the world has grown tired of the destruction brought on by superheroes and their foes. Protests, legislation, and differences of opinion have made it harder for organizations like the Justice League to operate. Some fear the day when their heroes in the sky decide to rule themselves, organizations such as Cadmus and ARGUS prepare for that day. Some question if there is really a need for them anymore.

Alien invasions have been thwarted, the deranged criminal known as The Joker is assumed dead, and organized crime is on the decline. The world is changing. Changing into one where no one needs Superman to save the day anymore.

Author David Graves wrote in his book, 'Justice League: Gods Among Men', that the world would always need them. He wrote that they were larger than life, heroes in the Greek sense of the word.

Maybe he was right, maybe these superpowered people were the real life versions of Hercules and Achilles. Or maybe they were the Titans, free from the chains that held them back in Tartarus.

No matter what they, or what people thought they were, their presence had changed the course of history.

It's now your turn to do the same. It's your turn to shape history.

To earn your place as Gods among Men.
