At 18 he left his mom behind with the savings she had given him to earn a degree at college and moved to Las Vegas where he aimed to make a fortune all on his own.
The first year in Vegas was spent with him losing much of his share of his father’s fortune while he learned the basics of gambling. His problem was that he was dabbling in all manner of gambling attractions at once instead of focusing on one specific game of chance and mastering it. He decided to learn poker and the game filled with both probability and persuasion fit Jon like a glove. Over the next 4 years, he made his own fortune, becoming one of the fastest rising professional poker stars in America.
With this fame came a lot of attention, and a lot of tempters and temptresses trying to get a taste of his brilliance.
