Place of Birth: London
Clan: Ventrue
Sect: Camarilla
Species: Vampire

Haven:
Streetside - Est. 1846 the hotel/restaurant Elizabeth has lived in, worked at, [stolen from], and/or owned since 1909. Streetside is a multi-funtional property that has been repurposed since its opening, into a shelter/soup kitchen (Streestside Help), an oprhanage (Streetside Home for Children), and even a workhouse (Streetside House) when times deemed it necessary.

Derangements: Due to an egregious amount of suffering in her past, Elizabeth suffers from PTSD and "Survivor's Guilt", triggered mainly by any mention of her sisters (for whose deaths she feels responsible) and occassionally, the time of year (with the right factors).

Appearance:
A slight woman, standing at 165 cm (5'5") without heels (which she always has on - generally 2-3") and only 56 kg (about 124 lbs), Elizabeth chooses to wear mostly black, not because of her species or to "blend in with the night" but because "black is sexy and slimming". Though it is usually styled up, her hair falls mid-back in sleek, straight strands. She has piercing, olive eyes that captivate all their own (without Disciplines) and her long, straight nose leads to rather thin lips which are usually graced with a cigarette (in a holder, of course). She is constantly receiving gifts of jewelry from her patrons to adorn her pierced ears. A sleek and sophisticated look is what she aims for...and she rarely disappoints.

History:
Born to a family of six, Elizabeth (still known as Margaret at this time) lived a life of poverty; witnessing death and disease, experiencing starvation and war, learning how to survive for just one more day... whatever the cost. Her mother, being a sickly woman, was unable to work most days. Her father - though a hard worker - was a drunk and gambler, oftentimes losing money to silly wagers or blowing it on another drink. It was because of this that from a young age, Elizabeth was doing all she could to help her family - stealing potatoes or food of any kind, washing windows, or other odd jobs her tiny hands could manage.

In 1909, her father lost his job and was forced to try and find work at the docks, as limited and in demand as it was. On days he was unable to do so the family often went hungry. Barely able to keep their home, Elizabeth hit the streets fervently, in search of food and possibly shelter. This is when she discovered Streetside...and what a glorious find it was! To Elizabeth's delight, she found a kitchen which was easily accessed through a small window off the busy street, graciously left open by the large and easily overheated women who worked there. Carefully, she watched the goings-on for a few days before making her move. Slinking into the kitchen, she quickly grabbed the nearest morsel and quietly made away with her prize: a good-sized lump of a potato.

The year of her 12th birthday, her two older brothers were sent of to war. One [John] was KIA in the first couple of months, the other [Jack] MIA until 1921, when he was declared deceased in absentia. These were the years her family fell slowly to ruin. By 1913, Elizabeth's mother had died of her illnesses and - in Elizabeth's opinion - heartbreak due to the loss of her sons. Come 1915, her father had incurred enough gambling debt to have his legs broken by an angry bettor he had the unfortunate luck of being unable to pay, and was forced out of work. This left 15-year-old Elizabeth acting not only as a mother-figure for her two younger sisters [10 and 6 years by this point], but also as main bread-winner, and caregiver for her father.

Were it not for Streetside and the kitchen help, they may not have survived long. Besides lifting food here and there, Elizabeth managed to "bump" into one of the women and convinced the stern, but kind lady to let her run errands and any deliveries they had for a small price "under the table".

1917 was another eventful year for Elizabeth. By this point, she had been stealing a few potatoes a week from Streetside, and her sisters were out helping to scrap up whatever living they could manage. However, mid-year, tragedy struck. A bombing raid caused the deaths of both her sisters, as well as over a hundred other innocent souls. Her father - stricken with grief over the loss of his wife and four of his children, infection in his legs, and a failing liver - passed later that year, leaving Elizabeth alone and destitute.
[Still have to figure out the actual Embrace and events leading up to it (which pretty well start at this point) mainly wording and such, but basically done^^]

Notes:
Margaret rarely uses her first name (unless for business/professional reasons) preferring to use her middle name, "Elizabeth". Only incredibly special people (or people she fears) get to call her Maggie - if they even know the name, that is. She also comes of as a bit of a snob, until she comfortable enough to show her true self - or rather - her human self.
