Biography: Living in the slums of South Africa with her sister Dorothy and parents, Lyla and her family struggled day by day to survive due to the impoverished state of not only them but many people around them. Shortly after Lyla turned ten, her parents past away due to an unknown disease. This had put Dorothy in a shocked and grieving state, rendering her sixteen year-old sister useless to their recovery. Five years went by as Lyla spent all of those years working what she could and saving what she could to get her and Dorothy to America and she had finally did it. At fifteen, Lyla was successful into moving them to a safer, healthier country.
After making it to America, Lyla set to finishing school and going for a culinary degree as her sister, now slowly recovering began to find work to help support their makeshift living. At 19, Lyla finally graduated college and worked her way to opening a restaurant, which was made into a success at the age of 22. Along the way though, Lyla had a fog of choices when she had a one-night stand in Las Vegas, which led her to having a child which was left behind with a cousin of hers when she went into Oz to search for her sister.
