Their entire treatment of her changed as she was locked inside her room with her own father the king telling her constantly how dangerous it is for her outside this room. That everyone would want to harm her if she even takes one step outside and that she should listen to them as they only want to protect her. Slowly his words completely wormed their way into her heart and mind and she found herself too scared to bother trying to leave her room and there she stayed even now when she's an adult herself she's still too frightened by her father's lies about the outside world to even bother trying to escape.
