I felt relieved when I saw that I was not the only person here. But they all had looks of distress on them, clearly in panic. I was smart enough to tell that nobody was meant to be here. And the amount of people was high. This wasn't your average kidnapping. What was going on here? I continue to look up. There was one other feature in this room. A large circular hole in the ceiling, which reached up to over a hundred feet. It was like we were in a dome.
As I lost concentration of my surroundings and wondered why a hole was in the ceiling, I fell to the floor. I ran into somebody. "I'm so sorry. I-" I looked up to who I ran into, and I gawked. Right in front of me was a stunning girl. No, she was dropped dead gorgeous. The girl had long, silky white hair with crimson red eyes. She wore a green fancy shirt with an emblem on it, along with a green skirt of equal color. It looked like a school uniform. Either way, she was clearly Japanese. And the most beautiful woman I have ever seen.
"No. I wasn't paying attention to my surroundings. I should be the one to apologize. My name is Saiko. The pleasure." Her voice was kind and even a bit mellow, but there was an eerie vibe about it. Saiko held out her hand and I took it, helping me up. "I'm Ryan," I said, my voice still a bit anxious. "Do you know what's going on?" She paused for a moment, her face bearing a sad expression. "Unfortunately, I know nothing. I have lost any memory of my life." It was as I thought. Nobody has any memory of who they were.
Suddenly, everyone stopped. Everyone could here a distant roaring noise above us. Then it got closer. Something was reaching our sights. Then it got even closer. I was still difficult to make out it's shape. Finally, after a few more moments, it was inside the building. A helicopter! It landed dead center in the room as the roar of the blades grew quiet. A man with blonde, slick hair stepped out, along with a suit like he was going on a date. In fact, he looked like the type to be on a date. "Hello contestants!" Or a gameshow host. That works to.
"Welcome to our new gameshow, Island of Relics!" A man with spiky orange hair spoke up. "Hold up! I don't remember getting on a show. Hell, I don't remember anything. What's going on here!?" His tone of voice was aggressive. The host replied. "No talking until the questions are allowed Brock." "I can talk whenever the hell I wan-" A man with silver hair covered Brock's mouth and pinned him against the wall. He then told him something. Whatever he said, it shut Brock up.
"Thank you Zane. Now, as I was going to say, the objective of the game is to obtain a relic, and successfully get off the island via our escape chopper. The chopper arrives in one month from the games starting point. Any survivors still left on the island past this period will be escorted off the island by me. Now, let the questions may begin. But please raise your hand. Yes, Bianca?"
A girl with pink hair raised her hand. "Um, where do we go if we don't escape? Where will you escort us?" The host smiles innocently. "Why, to Hell of course. This is a game of life or death!" There was a silence. The room grew cold. If we lose...we die? Suddenly, a little boy screamed. He didn't seem older than 14. Then, panic arose. People begin yelling, begging, and so much more. Except for a select few. I was in a shocked silence. Saiko just smiled. Zane didn't show any expression other than annoyance.
The host then clapped his hands. "Everyone! This is not the time for panic! After all, we don't want to enter a game of fate blind, do we?" It took a moment, but things settled down. The little boy who screamed was in tears, but he managed to raise his hand. "Why are you doing this? Let us go home jerk!" "Oh, my dear Bryan, I am doing this to punish your sins. Each of you have committed a terrible crime. This is merely my way of teaching you a lesson." He then began to laugh. Zane raised his hand swiftly. "And what is crime we have committed? In fact, why do we have no memory of our lives?" The host chuckled. "I was hoping someone would ask that. Each of you need to look deep in your heart for the answer to the past, the calling to your reason. Each of you have powers. And if you unlock those abilities, you will have an advantage." He then stopped. "Any more questions? No? Then let's begin! All aboard!"
The blades of the chopper begin to whir in activation as the host pullout out a device with a button. "Oh, and one more thing. Now, you may panic." He pressed the button, and multiple red stick bundles appeared out of the wall as parts of the wall parted. Dynamite. People pushed and shoved each other as the sprawled aboard. The man who trapped himself here was clearly enjoying this. The helicopter then flew through the roof as we looked down. The sight was beautiful. Mountains, hills, and a big, white stadium was shrinking behind us. The green shined in the sunrise. "It's beautif-" I was cut off by a massive, distant explosion. We were all dumbstruck in silence. The host laughed. "Isn't this romantic?"
