boom boom, boom boom, boom boom, is all she heard. She felt like her heart was about to explode out of her chest it was beating so hard. She kept on running, feet pounding hard on the uneven dirt below her even though they felt like they were on fire and her chest and throat were burning painfully with each breathe. She tried to take in a big breathe of air but was cut off at the sound of gun shots. She veered off to the side and sprinted faster, the only thing keeping her going was fear, fear for her life. Pain exploded through her thigh as a loud gunshot broke the trance of her heart beat and her knees buckled, sending her flat on her face. "No! NO!" the girl screamed in pain, clawing viciously at the crumbling dirt in front of her. She managed to stand on one leg and started limp running as fast she could, blood streaming down her leg from the horrid wound. The light seemed to grow dimmer, blackness started to border her vision as her head became very light. Her sprints became more stumbles as if she was possessed by a zombie who had no clue that final death was inches behind him. She made a last attempt for safety, climbing the nearest tree, although she nearly fell to her death many times she eventually made it to one of the higher branches were she wrapped a torn piece of her shirt tightly around the wound and passed out from loss of blood and peer exhaust. She woke up later to green. Just green. Nothing else. She tried to turn her head but everywhere it was green, as if she was trapped inside a green screen, not another color to be seen. She tried sitting up but let out a cry of pain as fire erupted in her thigh.
