Akashic Arcana The Heart of a Sword

Sakuya had finally absorbed all of the Soul Fire she had unleashed, bringing her 9th form to its maximum capacity as Artoria had focused on the defensive. The sword's edge glowed with a bright blue color. Soft flames coated the sword along its hamon and edge, giving off a subtle bloom as all of the destructive energy had been sealed within. Sakuya advanced towards Artoria in a charge, her speed tremendously increased as she moved in a blur towards the young knight. Sakuya's sword's edge smashed into the barrier's outer defense, resulting in a wave motion of blue fire to erect from the point of impact, which spread harmlessly behind Sakuya. The wind, air, and gravity increased all around her as the heat of the edge of the blade was burning itself into the barrier's wall. A crying sound of metal being bent and shattered could be heard as Sakuya broke Artoria's defenses within seconds of impact.

Shards of light exploded inwards towards Artoria, followed by Sakuya who held her blade firmly in a piercing motion. As Caliburn and Mikazuki met, Sakuya unleashed all of the stored Soul Fire she had absorbed into the katana. As Caliburn met Mikazuki in hard steel, a powerful reactive explosion purged out with great impunity. A large cataclysmic blast that shattered the surrounding barrier of the bridge as well as torching several sakura trees around them. Artoria was knocked back, pieces of knightly armor destroyed as its fragments buried itself into the bridge and trees.

The following smoke-screen appeared after, obscuring the view of the two's battle as well as its results. Sakuya's soul ignites lighted up within the screen with two glowing orbs of fire. Only for them to become extinguished after five minutes had passed.

As the smoke cleared. Sakuya hurled over to expel out a large quantity of blood from her lungs. She had to pierce Mikazuki into the bridge to maintain her kneeling position and not fall forwards into her own pool of blood. Her skin became pale, white, sickening. She continued to cough and finally spitting out a final mouthful of blood before trying to look forwards towards her opponent. Sakuya's vision blurred out, she couldn't focus on anything. It was a severe case of motion sickness paired with lack of oxygen intake.

Moments before impact, Artoria got a vision, triggered by her Battle Instinct. All she saw a blinding flash of blue-white light, which could only mean one thing. Her enhanced reflexes were able to pick up Mikazuki piercing right through the Barrier, cracks forming around the puncture. Anti-bunker magic! In a moment of panic, Artoria's mind scrambled to think something up in the precious second she had to react. Caliburn glowed a bright gold momentarily before the great burst of light that ended the fight.

The shockwave rocked through her body, large chunks of her armor being ripped off and disappeared into golden dust. She was flung a great distance before landing hard and tumbling a few meters. It took several minutes for Artoria to recover, shaking off her disorientation; though her ears still rung. Slowly but surely, she got back up to her feet and tiredly raised Caliburn up in a halfhearted ready position. However, the sword would drop again when she saw just how bad of shape that Sakuya was in. Limping over, the knight sought to check upon the samurai's well-being. Her breathing was uneven and shallow, but she was still able to speak through gasps of breath. "Are.. Are you okay?" Artoria couldn't help but chuckle. "That.. That was.. incredible."

Sakuya was about to say something, but she instead collapses to the ground with her eyes all whirled up and confused. She was getting light-headed from all the lack of blood and her magic was taking a toll. It didn't look as horrible as it did, in fact, it seems more comical than anything as the girl was almost out of commission.

"I-I had a ton of fun!" She expressed before letting out a series of coughing fits. "W-Would you mind... and... call this number for me?"

Sakuya weakly held up her hand with a small pamphlet in her grasp. Once Artoria could take a look at it, it was a number, and straight to the emergency room at Arcadia Hospital. Her personal numbers were underneath the number as well.

Needless to say, Artoria started to panic, thinking that Sakuya pushed herself too far, and she had encouraged it. Taking the paper from the samurai, she looked over the number, yanked the ORB out from her pocket under all the armor, and dialed the emergency number. All the while, she was reassuring (likely unnecessarily) Sakuya that she would be alright, often using her minor healing spell upon the sickly girl.

Once the paramedics arrived to pick Sakuya up, Artoria was left utterly flustered at the whole thing. All she wanted was a good duel, which she certainly got, but her opponent had seemed to almost die in the process. She looked down at the other number upon the pamphlet, and saved it into her contacts list for a later time. "Maybe... maybe next time, we can spend some time together with.. that happening.."
