The cold stare Kestrel gave him as the veteran drove a fist in his stomach stupefied Sigeward. He couldn't remember the last time he saw someone ignore pain that well, hell for all the older man knew, Kestrel could've just not felt anything. Impossible, unless he was affected by some rare condition or using magic, the boy should feel a hit of that intensity, especially with his lack of protection. The boy spat a glob of blood, bringing a smile back on Sige's face, that was more like it. A voice came from behind, dividing Sige's attention in between both of the twins again. He chuckled at Archer's comment, his low gravely voice answered :
"If no one ever managed to stay up from your attack, it only means you've never encountered an experienced fighter. And if you wished for a fair fight, you should've said so earlier. Equipment and preparation makes a good warrior, let me remind you that this is a two versus one." A hand pointed towards both blades in his back
"Just be thankful I silently agreed to this being a hand to hand fight." He smirked, what a cocky thing to say when the boy was fighting alongside his brother. The man would've gladly taken him in a hand to hand armourless fight had he expressed the wish for it.
The boys seemed to be analysing his protection, it wasn't that heavy a piece of equipment honestly. While his forearms and shin region were plated, there wasn't any more trace of heavy metal usage. While two thick pieces of hardened leather protected his shoulders, most of his body was covered by cloth and leather straps. When both boys came back at him, he was ready. Expecting another synchronised attack, Sige was at first puzzled by the single kick aimed at his head. He turned towards Kestrel, ducked under the high attack and swung an arm towards the open side of his opponent. The sound of someone landing on the dirt behind him sent alarms in the warrior's mind. He stopped his attack to turn around as fast as he could, only to receive a boot to the side of the head. His hands finally caught up in a vain attempt to protect him, instead trying to get a hold of Archer's leg and throw him as far as he could before the lights went out.
The momentum sent Sige's spinning backward, his foot kicking up a large amount of dirt before he finally stopped, a hand on his head and another one defensively in front of him. His vision blurred, he suddenly felt a chilling cold take a hold of his body. The attack couldn't have been that strong, could it? No, life wasn't leaving him, his vision confirmed it as it slowly came back. The sight greeting him was something else though. The sun now eclipsed by the moon, a heavy fog impeded his view. The man took his hand off the head wound to confirm what he already knew, a bloody mess, he'd need a bandage. He looked at the twins, slightly confused :
"Did you boys finally decide to use magic or is this really happening?"
