1600 AD - The Time of the Wildfang
The story starts in the medieval period, when a man known as Sir Leo Wildfang, a human knight, was tracking down a witch. It wasn't any ordinary witch however; she was a formidable mage, and supposedly had connections to a spirit, known only as 'Ulfr'. She drew upon the spirit's power to cast her spells, and that power is what Wildfang would face.
He defeats the witch, and in a last ditch effort, she casts a spell on the warrior, turning him into a werewolf. The first werewolf. This was how it all started. The witch bleeds to death, and in shock, Wildfang hides himself before coming across a fine lass who was willing to put up with his beastly appearance, and saw him for who he was.
Unfortunately, Wildfang passed away when he was in his 40s due to a sudden ambush by the heavily Christian human kingdom of what would later become East Germany (Mouberg), and the wife passed away shortly after due to a stroke, leaving the male and the female werewolf siblings to grow up.
After this, the werewolf genes were passed down for generations, and packs began to form, which ties us into the next part of this truly fascinating tale. That would be the period of two.
1640 - 1700 - The Period of Two
Ancient manuscripts show that this is when werewolves started to devote themselves to their great god Ulfr, and these two werewolves started to form small packs after providing Ulfr's blessing (the power to shift) to a lot of humans.
These packs grew rapidly in size during this period, and at first, they got along quite well, agreeing to not attack eachother, instead focusing on Mouberg, to avenge Wildfang. Other than a few small battles, Mouberg, the River Pack and the Mountain Pack didn't have much fighting however, but this all began to change.
As the two siblings grew older, they became more and more responsible for their packs, and what was once a friendly rivalry ended up leading to the First Lycan War.
This was a period of tragedy and turmoil, and the fighting killed both of the siblings. However, the packs continued to fight until they couldn't fight no more, and the war ended on a stalemate, which leads us on into the next biggest period of lycan history...
1700 AD - 1830 AD - The Alpha Pack is Born, Peace With Humanity
After all of the fighting, a werewolf only known as the "Filtiarn" decided to fuse the two opposing packs together; this lead to a lot of outrage at first, but with his amazing leadership skills, as well as his charisma and caring attitude, this "Filtiarn" created a healthy and sustained pack from the remains of the First Lycan War.
Furthermore, he manages to negotiate a deal with the humans in the area that if the humans would co-operate and treat the werewolves as equals, then they would trade with them, and during a time of economic crisis, they had no choice but to agree, really.
Human and werewolf lived side by side in a peaceful manner. They held eachother closely and in high regard, and many humans actually wanted to become a werewolf, and had that option there for them. Eventually, the first "Filtiarn" passed away, and possession of the pack was passed on to his son, who also donned the name; this was the first time that the title of a name had been passed on through the very same bloodline that would be governing the Alpha Pack today, should it have still existed. (we will get into that much later!)
The son wasn't as patient, and was very hungry for power, so in his 40s, when it was 1830, a new period begun; the Second Lycan War, as well as the First Lycan-Human War.
1830-1880 - The Double War
First, happened the Second Lycan War, since part of the pack broke off, claiming to be a 'New World Order' of some sort. However, despite their actions, the Alpha Pack was having none of it; the new Filtiarn instantly declared war on this new pack.
Due to this new Filtiarn's aggressive tactics, and divine guidance from Ulfr, the Alpha Pack emerges victorious, and crushes the insurrection, forcing them to surrender and executing many of the key members of this supposed rebellion.
After this, the First Human-Lycan War occurs between the military of Prussia and the lycans. This war was brutal, and lasted two years, as a result leading to over 500,000 casualties, both lycan and human, and it also resulted in the death of the Filtiarn. His son takes over now, a much more calm, peace-loving son, who is clever and able to think things through.
1880 - 1933 - Hiding in the Wild
Because of the Industrial Revolution that occured all across Europe, as well as the formation of Germany and the German Empire, the Alpha Pack was driven into hiding.
As towns and cities grew, the new Filtiarn and his pack didn't have many places to go, and so had to hide somewhere else. This is where they found the ground at which they were staged right up until their recent collapse, Schwarzerwalde. (The Black Forest!) The current Filtiarn had a son.
As World War One erupted between the humans, there were no direct casualties from the war, but Germany's defeat in the First World War, as well as the rise to power of a certain man, that was when things started to get serious...
1933 - 1945 - World War 2 and the usage of lycans
The NSDAP decided to attempt to create lycan super soldiers for World War 2. They captured many lycans from the Alpha Pack where horrible experiments were conducted on them in order to force them to be obedient to their commanders, and in turn employ them as a special unit against the enemy.
However, as the tide of the war turned in 1942, the werewolves went further into hiding in order to prevent their reputation from being shamed under the lead of the new Filtiarn, the previous one having passed away in 1933 from old age.
This lead to the eventual death of all weaponised lycanthropes during the reign of the NSDAP, and after it's collapse in 1945, the pack was lead on through time for a while, now completely trapped in hiding in the depths of Schwarzerwalde.
1945 - 1988 - Human Action and the declaration of the Second Human-Lycan War.
As a result of the war, the lycans go further into Schwarzerwalde, where they hide around the Great Fire and the banner that hangs above it.
However, the humans are not happy with how the lycans are occupying what they considered to be their territory, and tried to force them to go somewhere outside of the nation. In response, the Alpha Pack shows why they can not be moved, and in a solid display against the at the time communist East Germany, they win a war against the humans, forcing them away from Schwarzerwalde entirely.
The Filtiarn has another son to pass on the bloodline, telling him all of the stories of the wars he had fought as well as the battles that his ancestors had fought. In 1988, the Filtiarn was assassinated whilst on a walk in a thinner part of the woods, and in turn, the new Filtiarn (and the father of the current day one!) declares war on the humans that same year, with a huge, strong werewolf army to fight with, he believed he could take the humans on!
1988 - 2011 - The Great Lycan War and the end of the Alpha Pack
The werewolves story does not end well for them, despite their strength and tactics. At first, the humans are severely losing, and a large territory of East German land was seized from the remained of U.S.S.R controlled Germany and later just Germany.
As the Soviets returned to their homeland, the war with the Fatherland rages on, and the Filtiarn grows older and more experienced, he has a son in 2010, the mother of that son dying in child birth. (Can you guess who it is!?)
The Great Lycan War eventually ends after The Great Massacre and a mass burning of Schwarzerwalde in 2011, with only one lycan surviving seemingly; the new, and current Filtiarn.
2011 - Current Day - The End (Epilogue)
After the events of the war, and the massacre that occured as a result, the Alpha Pack was banished from existence entirely, after surviving 400 years. To this day, werewolves are believed to be deceased; a relic f the past; long forgotten, but as some of you may know...
