The couple leaving the popcorn stand gave Jianyu dirty looks as they were leaving, chatting between themselves how odd she looked. The man behind the stand also seemed slightly perturbed, but he washed it away quickly with a wide smile. "Hey there, young lady!" he said to her.

Nearby, among the other food stalls, stood a man and a woman who looked to be siblings. As far as could be gathered, they were hosting some kind of coin toss game.

As Biscuit traveled to the docks, the music got louder. A group were dancing happily to it, laughing in merriment. A tall woman stood nearby, watching them, though seemingly trying to get the attention of a boy dancing with the group. "Sir?" she said to him, sounding a bit at a loss.

Biscuit watched the woman and the dancing for a moment. While it didn't seem out of place it might be something worth investigating. Putting on her charms the Hunter made her way towards the woman. "Excuse me?" She replied to the woman. "Are you trying to get that guy's attention? Maybe I can help!" She was playing up her looks and mannerism to avert any suspicion from her and she gave the woman a friendly smile.

Jianyu gave them a glare, too. While innocently turning her attention to the stand and the employee, she'd use Psycho Power towards the couple's shoes to have them stumble and fall. Petty? Yes. But hey, they had it coming.

"Hiya!" She chirped, as if unbothered in a split second. "I'm trying to find my way around but got distracted by how good everything smells!" Okay, uh, alibi for the outfit, , let's see... "I'm with a band, see, and we need to find our way around town! Think you can give me a few pointers?"

Azura went to take a look at the siblings and the coin toss game. She glanced at it for a moment before glancing to the siblings in question and gave them a smile.

"Hello there, I see you have this game set up. How does the game go?" She asked, keeping her tone light.

@Atomic Knight

The woman didn't take notice of Biscuit at first, preoccupied moreso on the dancing boy. Eventually she walked right up to the dancing formation, right as most of dancers took a step back to cheer on the boy, who was spinning around, arms outstretched and his shoes tapping cleanly against the wood of the dock. Attractive and with a crop of short hair, the boy looked youthful.

"Sir," repeated the woman. "Sir. Elliot!"

The boy let out a laugh, turning to the woman trying to get his attention.

"Hello!" said the boy named Elliot, continuing to dance. "This is really so amazing! Ms. DeWitt, you should join me!"

A few of the dancers clapped along, moving toward Biscuit. They gestured to her, as if seeing if the little girl she appeared to be wanted to dance as well.

@Jeremi

"Then we'd still have to purchase the drink," Cullen said flatly. He watched then as a young man and woman passed the group to purchase some of the popcorn. From what he could observe, the coins they were passing over didn't look any coins he was familiar with, nor did they look exactly American like Emily's stash.

It took Cullen a moment to come to a conclusion. "You blokes ever do a little begging before?"

@Yun Lee @Ver @Capri @York

Giorno could quickly see the conspicuous sight of a family with two kids who were outfitted for the beach, but a mother and father who seemed a bit more done up. The bathing suit the mother was wearing was fanciful and expensive, though judging by some of the looks she was getting, also a bit revealing for this crowd. The father had recently returned from changing, dropping off a suitcase next to the mother as she lay beneath a parasol.

As Biscuit set out, the noise of the attractions was most loud, followed by the sounds of music from a dock at the edge of the beach.

GENTARO KISARAGI
@Atomic Knight @Ver @Yun Lee @York

Gentaro slumped over slightly. Begging isn't something that he'd want to do, nor something he even thinks about that often.

That was until he had a bright idea.

"Oi!" Gentaro said to Emily Hayes "I know this may sound weird, but do you wanna sell those coins? This doesn't seem like a world where your American currency is used at all, so maybe we can bloat up the prices,"
"Ugh, we don't have time for this!" Not Jianyu was just getting agitated. No way in hell was she going to beg just to get some fucking popcorn! She'd be fine not eating, but the info was what they needed. So, she decided to take matters into her own hands, and waltz up to the popcorn stand, as if checking it out before purchasing anything.

Emily took carefull note of how Jianyu was apparently being treated by the locals, having taken Gentaro's question in mind, then shook her head, soon realizing that this was likely an idea that would back fire.

"I don't believe it will be that simple. Explaining how we got coins like this would cause trouble." She said.

Her eyes fell upon the pair of siblings playing a coin toss game, joining them alongside Azura. Though out of the corner of her eye, she would keep tabs on Jian Yu's situation. It seemed her stone wasn't the only supernatural power they had to work with, but even then, she had to be sure there wasn't going to be any commotion. For now, Jian Yu was handling things fine on her own though.

Eventually, she decided to follow Azura's lead, and talk to the pair of siblings, her curiousity piqued a little. Perhaps there was a way to earn some coins by playing along with them, but beyond that, she was quite curious as to what intrigued the siblings about the seemingly simple game they were playing right now.

"Do you mind one more player?" She asked, a friendly smile on her face.

Though as she stood there, she couldn't help but wonder if she was missing something important going on somewhere else.

"Damnit! I don't know what other way to go!"
Gentaro said to himself, before he realized that nothing was forcing him to stay at the vendor.

Gentaro ran off to parts unknown, seeing wherever the wind may take him, and checking out any cool attractions nearby.

Cullen barked out a laugh as the couple fell, their popcorn scattering across the ground. They looked mortified, especially as the others near Jianyu came closer, looking just as odd as she did. As they ran off, the popcorn stall man frowned, but kept his focus on Jianyu.

"A band, eh?" said the man, eyeing the others now. "Well above is is the Upper Boardwalk, great view from up there! Not to mention the Arcade nearby with some amazing theater performances! And I would be completely amiss to not inform you of the gift shop!"

"I think this bloke wants us to buy as much as we can," Cullen said as an aside to Jianyu.

@Yun Lee @Ver @Crunch

The male of the two siblings tossed a coin to Azura. "Heads?" he said questioningly.

"Or tails?" said the woman beside him. The pair had a running tally with heads winning every time. It seemed the game had to do with guessing the correct toss.

Giorno looked to either Clark or Touma, whoever was the closest. "Any ideas where should start looking?"

Shaking his head rabidly after being teleported, Clark soaked in the area. Hearing Giorno asking if they we're in the US, Clark shook his head.

"In the States? Giorno, I'm not even sure what time period this is. Should we try the Arcade?"

Eyeing Sinstro, Clark called towards the alien.

"You want to come with us? Maybe you can share more of your philosophy with us?".

Slaping his new friend, Giorno on the back, Clark turned to Touma.

All heads and no tails? Perhaps it was do to the loop, and that's why it was always heads? As the coin was tossed to her she caught it.

"Heads." She guessed as she tossed the coin. Whether she was right or not didn't matter much to her, but she was a bit curious. Was the number always the same here?

"Wait..."

'You are telling me this big bad guy trying to destroy all the, multiverse or whatever, and he does not want any convenience stores?"

A dumbfounded Spike Spiegel continued to look ahead, and with solemn expression, he clenched his hands into fists. A strange rage gripped him, not out of any tragic creed or personal vendetta, but rather the absence of any future nicotine. Adjusting the tie of his suit jacket the former Red Dragon felt enraged. Feeling for his Jericho 491, the man took a hard drag of his last lucky cigarette in awhile. Before the light consumed him, he spoke solemnly to the duo that had noticed the sluggish scoundrel of a past wanderer.

"Mason, Kite? Point me in the direction of this idiot and I will beat th-"

Spike's dramatic speech was interrupted by a flash of light, and in a way, he got closer to his objective of satisfying his lowlife needs.

Sea. Beach. People. Joy.

Sounds about what Earth may of been decades ago before it was nearly ripped apart. It reminded Spike of his own home, but in truth, he did not want to think deep about the past. As entertaining of the idea was to go for a skinny dip, the bounty hunter found new strives and goals in mind. He could not dwell on his absence of tobacco, and secretly, the aching in his heart for those on the Bebop. The man went through salvation once, and by whatever idiotic god slammed in here, he would fight tooth-and-lead to get out of it.

First he needed some information, and more importantly, a stiff drink or prairie oyster to rock his sense back together.

Naturally, Spike began to silently make his way to the Arcade...and in his not-so observant state, presumed it was actually a Casino.

As the Arcade group began to make their way inside, a couple of men dressed in police uniforms took notice of them. "You folks in the right place?" one man asked, coming up close to Clark. The three others seemed to be focused on Touma. "Don't really look like you're from around these parts.

Emily eyed the sign, before thinking about Azura's result. Without much hesitation, she spoke confidently.

"Tails." She said.

It was a game of chance after all. The odds were in theory half and half, but considering how many times the results had been 'heads', she had to wonder if there was something peculiar going on.

Regardless, she decided to play fair. As much as she could have easily manipulated the results with her stone, there was no point, was there?

❝ Uh so... where do you think we should start looking around, Senna? ❞ Blake asked once it was clear that standing around like gawking birds wasn't going to do much. Plus, he had to think in the context of the situation. Getting people snapped out of the loops? Yeah, he would have to take a different approach as opposed to be thinking this would be a date. Of all the kinds of settings for this to take, however, it really was unfortunate timing. But hey, if they did this, they'll get that chance. Just not now.

Well, this was new. Everything seemed to be more high tech than what Triss was used to. A flying city? Maybe with magic, but it wasn't true in her world. The clothing was out of place as well. She had heard Ciri tell stories of something similar to this, but even her words were off.

Their way of speaking was a bit odd. Did they simply see them as tourists, or did they know more than it seemed? She didn't quite know what to make or say to their observation, having stood back as Emily went and had her turn. Instead she took a curious look at the coin they handed Emily.
