Absolutely not. Some are, but the genders of my ocs are very different. I have ocs of all genders.

My friend was into it, and we didn't really have much in common back then so I decided to try it out with her and ended up really getting into it.

For me, it's also the story created. I agree with you completely, it's really nice when you can be anxiously waiting for a reply to know how their character(s) will react.
