Personality: Cool, calm and collected and used to being in control. He is the one people fear, not the other way around. He hasn't had much experience with women, as he has usually been called on to torment men. Men who specifically targeted the poor and downtrodden for their personal gain. This new assignment confounds him and he has no idea how to approach it.
Backstory: Daniel was born on a sugar plantation in 1817. He became a demon when he was a young man of 27 after unintentionally making a bet with a devil using the life of one of his house's slaves. He bet on a horse race, and lost. Instead of collecting the life of the slave as his due, the devil collected Daniel's life instead.
Daniel wasn't a bad kid growing up, but he was privileged and saw human cruelty and the division of classes as just a normal part of life. Some people were just lesser, no more than animals, and deserved to be treated and used as such - this was the leading mentality of the rich in Georgia at the time.
As such, he is quite self possessed and self assured. Comfortable in his status as better than (just about everyone else, especially women) He comes from an earlier time when this was just the way of things. He was opposed to the civil war, and was happy enough being a demon by the time it rolled around.
He was never passionate about much, but with his new calling in his demon form he was a terror of the countryside, meting out justice and torment with a ferocious glee to those who preyed on the weak. He liked to draw things out so his appointed victims were scared to death of him before he even made his first appearance. This earned him the nickname Relkiller.
