Abilities

  • Passive
    • Enhanced Condition: Like most demons, her physical and mental abilities are above the peak human levels of other beings.
    • Fearlessness/Mental Fortitude: Capable of controlling internal/personal, or external/weaponized fear and drawing upon reserves of courage and/or fearlessness allowing them to act/react normally in dangerous situations like combat, rescue operations, etc.
    • Thermal Resistance: Can survive extreme temperatures without discomfort.
    • Combat Specialist: understanding of weaponized and hand-to-hand combat and is knowledgable in different styles; analyzing an opponent's style of combat and flaws.
    • Magic Resistance (aura): She can resist most forms of magic by her own protective aura, including spells intended to heal. Magic resistance goes down and she becomes susceptible to weaker spells when she has been severely weakened, fatigued, or injured. Cannot resist the leader's magical powers quite as well, however. Powerful spells can still be felt, and effect her.
  • Active
    • Natural Energy Healing: Can absorb, and manipulate nature energy to heal wounds, cure sickness, break curses, and maintain longevity from already existing sources. Vital wounds/deadly disease heal slow, can’t cheat destiny. Could be used in wickedly, (siphoning the natural energy out of a living being, severely weakening, or even causing them to lose consciousness). Does not affect demons quite as well as humans.
    • Dragon Physiology (true form): Arakiel's natural demonic form; An Elder Green Drago with, poisonous claws, a venomous bite, and a gaze that can strike fear. Breathes green fire with noxious smoke that poisons and kills quickly if inhaled. True Form takes a lot of power and energy to return to human form, and must spend a long time sleeping and recovering afterward (weeks/months). This dragon form is smaller than elder dragons, rather average-sized for dragon physiology.
    • Plant Manipulation: create, shape and manipulate plants, including wood, vines, plants, moss, and parts of the plants, such as leaves, seeds, roots, fruits, and flowers; limited to the already existing environment and cannot sprout massive trees & forests.

BIOGRAPHY
Before there was time... before there was anything, there was nothing, and before there was nothing... there were monsters.

My mother was born during a time where peace was non-existent. The horror of the old days was not simply how grotesque was the slaughter, it was how the violence seemed to go on and on and on into an eternal loop which drove them close to madness.

Real animals have lots of downtime between gathering food. For them, it is not a perpetual death race where one second of lax judgment would get them killed. The world of the demons from before was not a mere battle for the survival of the fittest. It was an orgy of carnage. Demons of today are only vaguely aware of how lucky they have it. Even with all the death and destruction in present-day history, the story of the ones that came before encompasses anything we have ever experienced. But that is soon to change, it seems.

I was born in Haven a De'Nephilim to the Black Rose Clan, long after the peace treaty between demons and humans was signed. As a daughter of the Second-In-Command, much responsibility was thrust upon me at a young age. Mother's schedule for me was strict; between training and education, there wasn't much time for friends or fun. In many ways, you could say I was sheltered, and I was, but in truth, I also wanted to make my parents proud. My father's duties within our clan made it hard for us to have any quality time together. But seeing him as a strong yet kind leader, I aspired to be like him.

Although I was stronger and faster than my cousins, lessons with weaponry were slow-going and took much longer to master. Reason being that my talents were in magic. Just as my mother, I could hear the call of the wild for as long as I could remember, and I came to know the forest as a friend. It was only after I mastered my true form that my talents with weaponry began to shine. Outperforming my cousins, I was chosen to study Haven's most prestigious academy, where I graduated with honors. Even so, after so much supposed talent and success, the apple of my father's eye, I didn't know who I was. I had lived to please my parents only to find that I had lost myself somewhere along the way. So, I decided to leave Haven into the human lands as an ambassador for my Clan and people, taking on the human name "Morelia Virilis". It wasn't my plan to fall in love with a human. It simply happened, and I had no control.

I was living in a human city with a family of my own when the attack happened. A massive beast wreaked havoc across the human cities. I fought for the humans, for my family, but it was no use, and after it was over, it was me who was running for my life. I'll never forget the looks on the faces of the people I loved as they called for my murder. I returned to Haven to find it destroyed in a similar way. Was that a coincidence? While my mother lived to witness the beautiful and tragic creation of Haven, it was us who endured the pain and grief of watching it end before our very eyes. I've tried to find comfort in that the world has always been, and the world will always be, long after we are gone. It doesn't help.

I became Second-in-Command in the way I never imagined. With the city destroyed, crime ran rampant, as well as homelessness, disease, and starvation. Riots occurred on the regular. People were desperate, tensions were high. Many were calling for war, and I could hardly blame them. Somehow, it was my job to find a diplomatic answer amidst all the chaos. How would we ever recover from this?

1400 years have gone by, and I have many scars in remembrance of those difficult times. I've reconnected with my family, my friends, and I live to serve and protect my people, as well as my Leader and Commander. There are times I think about my family and sometimes find myself grieving what was lost all those years ago... what I lost. Even so, I have overcome.

With the new threat of the ferals, my time is consumed with the security of the city, and I have been charged with overseeing their study, as we managed to capture a few during the attacks. Hopefully, there will come a time where our people no longer have to worry, and we will know the peace of our Founders once again.

Alrighty. First things first, I’m gonna want that bio written in third person. A role play of this scale, we are just asking for third person writing to help keep track of everything. So if you could fix that, that would be fine.
Secondly, each of your active abilities need a weakness. As it stands, they are vastly overpowered.
Finally, I’d check with the Leader of your Clan before claiming you territory is in ruins. Considering the attack that killed the founders was 1400 years ago, most of the Clans have rebuilt.

Well, those are my points. @happydeath might have others, but start with this.

Most of what Sanity has stated above, I agree with except for the first exception.

There isn't a full need to change the bio to full on third person as long as you stay in third person during the roleplay. The roleplay should be played out in third person to avoid confusion with how other play their characters and any mess ups with characters with one another.

Secondly though, I am at an agreement with Sanity even if I may be able to give you some suggestions here.

_______

Magic Resistance (aura): She can resist most forms of magic by her own protective aura, including spells intended to heal. Magic resistance goes down and she becomes susceptible to weaker spells when she has been severely weakened, fatigued, or injured. Cannot surpass the leader.

If going by what you are stating here seriously, it would mean that you can literally be unharmed whatsoever by any magic whatsoever unless she is 'weakened' which wouldn't be possible due to the natural healing capabilities of her active ability...this also brings up the point of being unable to have her really injured...while her fatigue would take quite a while to even reach due to her enhanced condition being higher than other demons.

Suggestion:
So, my suggestion here for this would be that instead of being susceptible and resistance going down when she just gets weakened, fatigued and injured...have it so that weaker spells also work on her and that it weakens the aura(like a type of shield). While it does not leave any injuries it will make her feel the pain as though it were a physical hit of similar to being punched or something or when it comes to elemental...if it's like a fire spell or something, she can feel the heat but not actually be burned. Or make it an active where she must actually active the aura for it work and that it has a limited amount of time it can be active.

Natural Energy Healing: Can absorb, and manipulate nature energy to heal wounds, cure sickness, break curses, and maintain longevity from already existing sources. Vital wounds/deadly disease heal slow, can’t cheat destiny. Could be used in wickedly, (siphoning the natural energy out of a living being, severely weakening, or even killing them).

I believe I had already spoken to you about this but I am just double checking to make sure to get these answers straightened out ahead of time before I am questioned by anyone else and if things get out of hand by accident.
This ability affects plants and such correct when you state about siphoning natural energy out of living beings right? Because if this is able to siphon natural energy out of people than this can be taken way out of hand and you can end up draining the life force out of other players or npcs with simple ease...there is literally no defense against that.

Also, the fact that 'cant cheat destiny' is very vague. There shouldn't be any real 'destiny' in the roleplay of what IS going to happen and who is going to be hurt.

Suggestion:
Make it so that severe wounds such as missing limbs cannot be healed or severe injuries(such as gapping hole in chest) cannot be healed. Since if these can be healed than your character would be able to survive any battle or in the midst of any battle whatsoever by simply regenerating an arm, leg, etc. or even pretty much revive a person if someone has a wound that SHOULD kill them. (Yes, it is a foreshadow of people will die.)

Dragon Physiology (true form): Arakiel's natural demonic form; An Elder Green Drago with, poisonous claws, a venomous bite, and a gaze that can strike fear. Breathes green fire with noxious smoke that poisons and kills quickly if inhaled. True Form takes a lot of power and energy to return to human form, and must spend a long time sleeping and recovering afterward (weeks/months). Enhances Plant Manipulation ability x3.

Only thing I have about this is that I require you to put a size for the dragon form. This can be large and all but it should in no way be as large as any of the clan territories due to how massive an elder dragon can actually really get.

Combat Specialist: understanding of weaponized and hand-to-hand combat and is knowledgeable in different styles; analyzing an opponent's style of combat and flaws.

This is not an active. This is a passive. Understanding something and being to analyze something by sight is not something you can use and not use, that is something the character is just capable of doing naturally.

______

Also as to what Sanity stated about asking the person playing the leader position about the situation of the city being in. This is moreover something you should check with the GM and/or Co-GM of the roleplay before you take it to your own thought.

The city is not ruins in any sense. The quarantine zone is ruins, yes...though that is because of feral demons.

The attack on Haven was indeed 1400 years ago, they would've had plenty of time to rebuild up to what it is now.

_____

Also please inform me here about any disagreements and concerns you might have. If you do PM myself or Sanity, do tag both of us.

@happydeath
Hello!
"even reach due to her enhanced condition being higher than other demons."

She is not more enhanced than other demons, she is on par with them. She is enhanced compared to humans. :emoji_smiley_cat:

"While it does not leave any injuries it will make her feel the pain as though it were a physical hit of similar to being punched or something or when it comes to elemental...if it's like a fire spell or something, she can feel the heat but not actually be burned. Or make it an active where she must actually active the aura for it work and that it has a limited amount of time it can be active."

Yes! This is actually comparable to the weakness that she already has. She can feel the spells as they hit, and can even be bothered by them, they are just severely weakened by this shield. Most of these things are minor details that would have been roleplayed!

Natural energy: In some media Magic is more of the power you have inside your soul. You are born with it or you are not. Some have more than others. Magic is energy but it isn’t natural, it is supernatural. it comes from a supernatural “source” Which your soul is connected to. Natural energy is green energy that is in living things, whether a being is magical or not. It’s in grass, in flowers, in rocks, and animals, etc. It’s a matter of natural vs supernatural. Since Demons are Supernatural creatures, they would not be able to die from this ability being used on them since their soul/magic comes from supernatural sources. However, their human vitality would be weakened, and it would be possible to trigger or accidentally force a demonic transformation! And they may be weakened. Does that make any sense at all?

@happydeath It is already sort of stated that critical wounds are very difficult to heal! And death blows, naturally, cannot be healed. That's just common sense.

I've made the appropriate edits.

Edit: Cannot cheat destiny meant exactly what you think it meant, btw. :emoji_smiley_cat:

Alrighty, apologies on the mix up on the first part about the enhanced conditions thing. I read that incorrectly and I had thought I had seen something about the character being stronger than most demons.

Ah, that is great news to hear that it was already what was planned!
Once again, apologies for the mix up there. However to make things a little easier so that others do not approach me about this, would you mind adding into detail about the fact of that being how it works? I brought it up because I had not known that was how the ability works, you informing me that it was going to be roleplayed out was the only way I just found out.

However, their human vitality would be weakened, and it would be possible to trigger or accidentally force a demonic transformation! Does that make any sense at all?

Alright, so everything there indeed make sense. My only exceptions to this final statements would be that...One, you should NEVER force a player to make a demonic transformation as that would be power-playing and demanding someone to do something that they have not agreed upon...Two, would this mean that against humans it would pretty have them done for? Affecting the humanity side of a demon is one thing...but what about Ash Wolves, most of them are pretty much all human except for those with demonic arms or something along those lines. If this affects their humanity, it would be their whole general side and since they do not have demonic transformations...is this like a kill shot on them? If so, you would need to figure out a way around this...Ash Wolves should not be so easily defeated with something that quick and easy..if they could be defeated that easily, than Black Cross would've been defeated way longer ago than it originally took.

It is already sort of stated that critical wounds are very difficult to heal! And death blows, naturally, cannot be healed. That's just common sense.

I am well aware that it would be common sense on that part...getting an arm blown off or cut off or any limb removed is not a death blow...and unless the missing limb can be found to be reattached and healed...if it were blown to pieces..it should not be able to be regenerated.
That is just something I wanted to bring up just in case.

@happydeath "would you mind adding into detail about the fact of that being how it works?" I'm not sure what else I should write since in my head what's written pretty much describes that. What would you suggest? "Ash Wolves should not be so easily defeated with something that quick and easy..if they could be defeated that easily than Black Cross would've been defeated way longer ago than it originally took" Perhaps Arakiel is one of the few that has it, and that Black Cross is more clever and ruthless than the demons are giving them credit for. Yes, it would definitely affect them. But maybe it can't kill them because she cannot absorb souls (which is interesting considering that's exactly what they do according to the superstitious lol). It might possibly knock them out. Just wanna point out that an absorption like that would take quite some time with the person restrained for long enough to be that effective. The character would simply have to not allow themselves to be put in a position where something like that can happen. "That is just something I wanted to bring up just in case." Yeah, the healing ability has nothing to do with the ability to regenerate limbs. I'm sure their advanced medical science department could help them with that lol! I'd also like to add that I do not give permission for anyone to be able to kill my character without negotiating the circumstances by which they die. :emoji_smirk_cat:

Okay.
As long as you are sure you can balance out these powers not to make the character so powerful that she can pretty much out right win every battle without receiving some kind of injury or end up having to force her to retreat due to injuries or anything along those lines. I will okai your character.

This includes as long as you are aware that even if Black Cross might've outsmarted the demons to avoid some kind of power like that...Ash Wolves are even smarter and even more technologically advanced than Black Cross and over advanced compared to that of demons.

@happydeath I've been writing and roleplaying for over ten years, and have allowed injuries and deaths of my characters... if it made sense. I won't dodge a move if it's impossible for my character to dodge it, but I also don't condone death strikes. I would simply suggest players avoid combat with my character if they're insecure about writing combat with me because I'll also be expecting them to expect injuries or a possible retreat. Fair is fair! :emoji_smiley_cat:
