He retrieved a jacket from the trunk of clothing and returned to Ingrid as he zipped it up. He didn't say anything as he caught her eye then turned toward the door. He did not feel there was much to say. He slipped out through the narrow gap between the doorjamb and the huge round plate and headed fearlessly into the darkness of the tunnels.
