After 5 long days of continuous, heavy rain, it was finally starting to slow down. It had been so bad that the local Priest Lakiem had been stuck in the church for hours, and moment by moment he was growing anxious, for he knew his wife would be giving birth to their first child very soon. He looked up at the skies as the grey cloud cover started dispersing. Years of trying, and two miscarriages had dampened their spirits, but this child gave him hope. He knelt on the ground and prayed.
“Priest, priest!” Calls cut through the sound of the drizzle and his mumbled prayer as a young boy came running up the hill towards the church, “Your wife is going to have a baby! Run, come with me!” Without stopping to grab as much as his hat, Lakiem set off, slipping and sliding down behind the boy.
Panting, he reached the door of his house, but he was stopped by the midwife’s assistants. “Come on, it’s been years since we’ve waited, let me in.” He leaned against the doorway as an assistant ran inside to ask for permission. From inside, a loud call came, “Let him in!” Without waiting for anything further, Lakiem pushed past the many red-robed assistants and ran up to the bedroom. Gasping, he stopped at the threshold and looked inside, but nobody could prepare him or anyone else for what was waiting inside.
The midwife stood over his wife’s skinny and pale body, with two assistants standing quietly with their heads bowed. Before they even said it, he knew what had happened, but almost instantly, he was distracted again, “Th-the baby? Is it okay?” Jisnya, a tall, heavyset woman who was standing solemnly, suckling the baby on her teat turned to her assistants and nodded at them and they left the room quietly. “Priest Lakiem, first about your wife...” She began, but was cut off by him. “I know! But the baby?”
She turned to face him, stepping away from the corpse lying on the bed. “Uh, you might not be prepared for this.” His eyes flashing wildly, he stepped towards her, “What! What do you mean?” Pulling the baby away from her, she pulled up her blouse and walked towards Lakiem, giving him the baby in his arms.
“It’s a girl. I would say beautiful, but I don’t know what to make of this, Priest.”
Enamored by the tiny creature in his arms, he was willing to even forgive anything. Without looking up from the baby, he said to the midwife, “Jisnya, keep your silence and I will reward you. I need to consult with the High Priests, only then can I say anything. Till then, say nothing to anyone. Understood?”
Jisnya nodded and headed out of the room, taking her sweeping robes with her.
“I love you, little child. I knew you would be great. I knew it.” He smiled at the baby girl in his arms, rocking her slowly.
That night, the sky was full of shooting stars.

You have all just received messages from your various channels, be it your spies or heralds or messengers, that in a small village off the eastern coast of Ceris, a child has been born. Rumours claim that it is the re-incarnation of the God-King Suavatr, especially since everyone saw the starfall across the land. One thing is for sure, though – A child like this has never been born.
(OOC: Sorry for the delay guys, let's get this started! For reference, the child has been born on the eastern-most coast of the land. I am still out of town, so in a couple of days I'll upload the consolidated map and the character sheets as part of the lore. Till then, feel free to start! If you're facing any problems, hit me up on PM!
