Hi! My name's Steely, and honestly, I'm not exactly sure of what to put here! So I've decided to list out a couple of things about myself, my interests, and my roleplaying preferences/habits:

  • English isn't my native language, though I'd say I'm rather proficient at it! Not to be arrogant, of course, as I'm still prone to typos, and some expressions/slang fly right over my head.
  • I have a great interest in history, so most of my roleplays are often set in historical times. That doesn't mean I'm only locked to those! I'm also a great sucker for Sci-Fi worlds and Fantasy realms, and Fandom-based roleplays are always in the equation for me (Specially if they involve a movie/book/series/game I've recently watched/read/played).
  • When it comes to characters, I usually enjoy playing with all sorts of themes, with moral ambiguity being a big topic of interest for me.
  • I'm usually quite free all day long! I'm currently on vacations, which means my online time is quite great. Even then, I might take days off if I'm not feeling inspired. My inspiration varies tons, so it often leaves me in day-long writer's block.
  • I'm in a lot of fandoms! A small list would be: The Elder Scrolls, Warhammer 40k and Fantasy, A Song of Ice and Fire/Game of Thrones, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Berserk, Fullmetal Alchemist, Fallout, Harry Potter, Star Wars, Fallen London/Sunless Sea, Boku No Hero Academia/My Hero Academy and Shingeki no Kyojin/Attack on Titan. There might be others I don't remember right now, so feel free to ask!
  • My local time is GMT -3.

Nice to meet someone with similar interests, then! WW1 and WW2 are all-time favorites of mine when it comes to studying, though my heart goes to the Middle Ages, as well as some of the Modern Era. Recently, though, I've been taking interest in the Cold War, and all that comes with it.

Nothing beats proxy wars, risk of human annihilation, the Soviet Union being dicks, the US being dicks, and a lot of countries getting fucked up. Lol.

Haha, pretty much! I've got to thank my History teacher for explaining it pretty decently, as well as the Wargame franchise, and more recently, the Metal Gear Solid games for getting me more and more interest on the period.

Have you ever heard of KaiserReich?

That's a series I have on my forum, alternate WW2 history, but I realize that's probably one of the more obscure series I'm allowing there.
 
I have, indeed! A series where the German Empire won WW1, right? I'm not too well-versed in it, having come into contact as it was included in a mod for Hearts of Iron IV, though it does seem interesting.

I love it myself, really detailed as to the different countries and ideologies the world would have if Germany won. Always wanted to play around with it.
 
It does seem interesting! Of course, as said previously, my knowledge is very limited, though a gameplay I watched detailing some of the Asian countries really had me interested. However, I never really pursued it, so you're the first to remind me of it after all this time.

With that in mind, I might find the time to give it a read and get something done on the universe with you!
 
I would love to do a France vs. France thing. Lol.

France split up into two countries. Main France, called the Commune, is run by radical socialists called Syndicalists, and the African french colonies are Free France, where the old government went after they were overthrown.
 
Ah, that seems rather interesting! If you don't mind, is there anyway to take this somewhere private? It'd be easier to discuss these details further on, I believe. Unless I can't send notes/PMs without an approved account?
