As her new compatriots began to fizzle with excitement, Lila carefully settled her pen down on the table, sat back in her chair and dipped her fingers into the neckline of her dress to retrieve a shiny, metallic red tube of lipstick attached to a thin, silver chain. The bottom of the tube was twisted deftly with slender digits tipped in shiny black nail polish, and when the cosmetic was revealed, it was a pretty dark red. The lipstick glided upon her lips with quick efficiency, not even a smudge out of place despite not using a mirror. The red contrasted nicely against her pale skin, dark hair, and blue eyes.

The cap was snicked back into place and the tube dropped beneath her dress once more, and she smeared her lips together before blowing a kiss Red Sentinel's way. She always felt more confident with a little bit of her own brand of Lush Love lipstick on. "No chores for a week sounds good to me." Glancing out of the room toward the rack where her costume was hanging, she considered for a moment but decided wearing her black outfit was more fitting for hide and seek tag. It would be easier to hide without all that red, to be honest.

Delicate hands rested upon the edge of the table for a moment before she pushed back and stood. She had seen Tangle, who she had been sitting next to, drop under the table, though she was not certain anyone else had, nor would she be certain that she would have if not for her sitting right next to the girl. "Let's get this over with." She was quite sure, she'd be one of the first people tagged as she really did not have any powers to speak of and very few gadgets on her person currently. She hadn't figured she would need them. Stealth and/or kissing it would be.

Red Sentinel nodded, his helmet glinting in the light of the room as he withdrew his pistols and spun them on his hands. Ignoring the actions of Lila, he spoke as he made his way towards one end of the room. "Sounds good to me. Now if you'll excuse me, I gonna go win this." He states as his distorted and demoic voice filled the room, before leaping into action.

Literally leaping, that is. Jumping the rest of the distance towards his target, he opens the window there and quickly dives through. It may be a game, but he was going to take it as seriously as possible. This was more than a team building exercise. This was a way to determine the pecking order and he'd be damned if he loses to someone trained by nightwing.

Rolling as he hit the ground, he's quickly up and running as he approaches the nearest building and swiftly scales it with bounding leaps. Turning around, he gives a small wave at whoever may be watching him from the window he had left from, before he spins back around and disappears from their view, jumping over the gaps between buildings as he made his way towards the more affluent areas of the city.

The game had begun.

Lark was fairly certain that the dice Jordan had used was loaded, but as long as she wasn't it there wouldn't be any complaints from her. She took out her phone, throwing out a quick few tweets on twitter, then tossed her phone on the table. No way she was bringing something that could potentially track her down.

At the mention of a prize, she immediately perked up. "I vote on no chores and someone buying me dinner when I win." Because Lark had every intention of trying to win. Attitude was half the battle! She was already edging her way off the table. Now that there was an actual prize on the line, she was more interested in playing the game, though her competitive streak had already started rearing it's less-than-adorable head.

The moment that Jordan, now dressed completely as Red Sentinel, had jumped out the window, she followed quick as she could. Though, she wouldn't be leaping out. She jumped on the sill and turned to climb up the seemingly dilapidated building and onto the roof. Now would be a good time to figure out what the town had to offer as well as figuring out her new team's skills. Once on the roof she'd run to the edge and without hesitation jump to the next one, like she'd done with Harley so many times before.

Perhaps she shouldn't have waited for the game to start. Before she knew it Red was out the window with Lark following close behind. For a split second, the notion of going after them crossed her mind. But then decided that it would be easier to go for the ones still in the room first.

It was a good thing she hadn't put her backpack down since entering the room. She slung the backpack over her shoulders and then, still keeping under the table, briefly patted the nearest person in the room on the leg. And that person was Queen of Hearts. There was a soft chirp of "Tag!" and then Tangle was off to tag someone else. Still keeping under the table, she scampered on all fours towards Telek. Here she comes!

Watching Red Sentinel jump out the window in such a casual fashion, followed by Lark who had climbed out like it was just your normal every day occurrence, Telek groaned as she realised she would have to engage in actual physical activity in order to win this game. Lila had just been tagged and Telek stood up and walked towards the door. Shard didn't seem to be awfully confident in the idea that he proposed, but y'know. What can someone who doesn't seem like they had a normal childhood do? The soft patter from under the table growing louder alerted the telekinetic that the tagger was heading towards her direction. Twisting her head around, she mentally grabbed all the chairs near her side of the table and rammed them together, in such a fashion that the chairs fell over each other in awkward positions.

With that distraction, she hastily left the room and went to find a spot for her to lay down and sleep.

Lila was just about to stand when a soft hand touched her black-legging clad leg and a voice chirruped, "Tag!" SERIOUSLY?! She groaned and slumped in her seat a moment fighting the urge to face desk. Well! She would just have to be creative about this. Pushing back from her chair, her eyes landed on Telek, and she was about to dive over the table while Tangle skittered under toward the other girl when all the chairs on one side rammed together and then fell over. "Shit!" she squeaked before peeking under the table at Tangle, "We better hustle."

Hopping onto the table and sliding across it to the open window, she glanced down, the breeze blowing through her sleek black bob. She attempted to see where everyone was located as they had just now escaped. Seeing Red Sentinel in the distance, she then turned around and leaned back out the window to see Lark climbing up! Hah! Pretty darn good at climbing, though perhaps not so confident in her ability as Lark, she gripped the top of the window and pulled herself up higher and then began to climb. When she was but a few paces away, she stretched her arm up as far as it would go in an attempt to touch Lark's foot. (Lark should roll to get away)

There was a slight noise behind her and when the hero-hopeful turned her head to look she saw Lila running after her. At first she thought that the other girl was running from being tagged but as her arm stretched up reaaaching, Lark realized that the other girl was trying to tag her. She yanked her leg up quick, slamming her knee into the wall a bit but that's okay. She swung herself up over the ledge of the roof and grinned down at her new teammate. "Tagged so soon?" She teased, but she didn't stick around for an answer, opting to pull her head away and dash to the other side of the roof, where Lila would either catch up with her or... she could jump to the next building over and take off.

The terms were set and the game had started: right off the bat, two of them had managed to escape into the city: Lark and Red Sentinel. Shard had to wonder if there were things he get git from this game after all. He didn't have time time though, as things were starting to get a little hectic.

Instead of splitting up and escaping like everyone else, Shard focused, his mind reaching out to the light around him. Bending the light rays around his body, he began his simple manipulation of his team's sight: making himself vanish.

Shard tried to do this during a time that no one had been paying attention to him, this way it looked like he escaped outside when they weren't looking. And if all worked out, he'd stay standing in his spot, just watching and waiting for the rest of the group to take the game outside.

Tangle came to a halt with a surprised squeak as chairs came crashing down at one end of the table. Well, it was about time she came out from under that table. She emerged from a less cluttered side of the table just in time to see Telek exit the room. And Shard..? Shard was nowhere in sight? Huh. She was pretty sure she didn't catch him going through that door.

Whatever. For now it seemed easier to pursue Telek. Certainly, she couldn't run for long. Tangle rushes out through the door, still on Telek's trail. Tangle attempts to tag the telekinetic yet again.

Lila ground her teeth as Lark's leg was swiftly yanked upward right out of her reach. At least the girl didn't kick her because that would be a long ass way down. She met Lark's smile with one of her own and lifted her shoulders in a shrug, "Lesson learned." Then she heaved herself up after the other until she, too, deftly slid over the lip of the building. "Don't make this harder than it needs to be, Lark," she called, running after her.

Luckily for her, she was rather a speedy runner, and as she began catching up with the other girl, she reached out to tag her.

Walking towards the couch outside of the conference room, she jumped onto the new piece of furniture and stretched her arms, curling up into a ball. Honestly, she couldn’t care less if the game went forever or if she was tagged. She’s seen enough of what the group can do and she’s very sure they’re all physically athletic enough to have something similar to a steroid-induced power game of tag. Shutting her eyes, she lulled herself into a power nap and prepared an excuse in her mind just in case Shard walked in and scolded her or something.

Well, that wasn't much of an attempt to be made. Tangle simply skips up to the sleeping Telek and softly patter her on the shoulder. "Tagged~" she whispered. The telekinetic didn't have to play the game if she didn't want to. Turning around, she re-entered the conference room. Tangle wasn't much of a detective - but she sure can tell when her observations don't add up.

She was pretty sure she had kept an eye on the door well enough. And Queen was at the window just a while ago. Which meant if Shard had left through the window, Queen could have tagged him. If he had left through the door, she would have seen him. Tangle shuts the door behind her. The room was empty. She goes over to the window, squatted on the window sill. Damnit, she'd lost track of the others.

Oh wait...Something had just occurred to her - an idea. She slipped her phone out of her pocket. Didn't the group have an emergency contact or something? Surely, not everyone had their phone on silent. Now wasn't emergency, but hey nobody said anything about that not being allowed. Tangle made a group emergency call and listened for any ringtones in the area.

She had not prepared for so much cardio, but here she was... Maybe she should just let Lila tag her and be one step closer to ending the game. Except there was a competitive streak in her mixed in with the fight or flight response that kicks in when being chased (even if this was supposed to be a game--The Joker's games never ended well).

As she neared the edge of the building, Lark jumped falling just short of the building over, arms catching onto the ledge and then pulling herself up. Her laugh was breathless as she finally stood on the other building, turning to look back at the Queen of Hearts. Mostly because she needed a second to let the adrenaline pounding in her ears die down. "Come on over. I'll wait for you."

The words had just left her mouth when she heard the little emergency ring they had all been told to program into their phones. She'd left hers on the desk of the conference table (for this exact reason!) but she could hear Lila's from where the other girl was. ... She was torn. It could either be a real threat and they'd have to stop their game and go fight something or it could be a trick and she was supposed to be learning how to be a hero, not ignoring calls for help.

Feeling a soft tap upon her shoulder, Telek heard a voice playfully whisper coming from above her and the soft patter of footsteps getting further away from her. Squeaking, the hings of the conference door bothered her peaceful "power nap" and she turned over on her side and adjusted her goggles so her face felt more comfortable. Lulling herself once more into a dreamless sleep, her mind wandered off into a state of si-

A loud and incessant ringing screeched with unfathomable volume.

"QUE CHINGADOS?!"

With a loud thump, she fell off the couch and hit her head promptly as her hands tried to grab whatever object was making the ungodly noises. Looking at the phone she was given with a lazy glare. She grimaced at the sight of an emergency alert and promptly got up to run into the conference room once again. They had been told that whenever an emergency was set up, they were to head to the conference room when near the area and if not, find whoever had called. Stopping briefly when she heard two ringtones inside the conference room, she peeked inside and saw Tanglerat looking at her phone with intensity, a determined grin on her face. First, her eyes glanced at Lark's phone in the corner, decorated with an obvious aesthetic it was hard not to notice. Then her ears perked up, hearing another sound coming from neither Tangle's or Lark's phone. Somebody else was in the room. Shrugging it off as probably Shard's illusory skills, she headed towards the first floor and exited the building promptly. Tangle can deal with Shard, she's a big girl.

Looking out at the starry sky, she cringed at the sound of her phone still ringing at this late at night. Not only was it dangerous, but she felt awful for anyone living near the area. Fortunately, she knew that there was only two residential buildings nearby, for she lives in one of them. Glancing around the street, she walked casually to another abandoned building near their base and placed herself on the roof using a wooden board for transport. Her legs didn't feel like moving. If her hypothesis was correct, vigilante kids always loved to hang out on rooftops and watch over the city like some sort of mortal god protecting their realm. Scouting the perimeter, she noticed a figure not too far away from where she was, in a building much taller than the one she stood upon watching the streets. The figure was facing their base and crouching down in that batman position she always saw on TV.

Red Sentinel.

Calculating the approximate distance between her and Red Sentinel, she estimated that she could probably transport herself near him and hold him in place before tagging him. Silently grabbing her wooden plank transport once more, she gripped onto it as she guided herself slowly through the air. After she had reached a small distance away from the boy wonder protege, she let go of the wooden board and dropped unceremoniously to the ground, rolling on the floor awkwardly and using her gloved hands to push herself off the floor.

Perfect landing 11/10.

Red Sentinel raised his hand to his helmet as the alert sounded. Looking at the location of the call, he presses a small circle in just above where his ears would be, silencing the call before resuming to crouching down upon the city. His city. Their city. His and the team's. Much like those goody two shoes Titans, it was up to them to learn the ropes here. So it was best to get familiar with this view.

An alert sounded in his helmet as a small window popped up. A small figure seemed to be... floating their way up. Welp, only one person in the whole city capable of doing that. Remaining crouched, his helmet tracked her as he slightly withdrew his pistols from his holsters. Rubber bullets may be nowhere near as effective, but they still stung like a bitch.

Eventually Telek disappeared from his helmet's view, but only half a minute later he heard something crumple to the ground behind him. Turning, he stands and raises his arms to the side in a dramatic pose, the whole city behind him as he acknowledged Telek.

"Hey there Telek. Come here oft-" And then the world went to hell.

As he spoke, a powerful shudder rocked the top of the sky scraper he stood upon. Metal grated and groaned as the tower struggled to maintain itself and not collapse. It was fortunate that the architects of this world had long since gotten used to such trials, and after only a second or two the building righted, the groaning dulling itself justg enough for the two heroes in training to hear the sound of an alarm far below.

Peering over the edge from where he had crouched hugging the railing for dear life, Red Sentinel uses his helmet's optics to zoom into the scene below. Glass covered the geound directly outside the building as flames licked the very base. People were either running, crouched or lay still upon the floor. From the shattered windows of the building, that served a bank he now realised, the flash of gunfire could be seen.

Looking at Telek, he spins his guns once before tucking them back in and activating the emergency signal. "Robbery. It's big. Call the others, and get someone to bring me a bigger gun!" His distorted voice calls to her before looking down. Oh man that... that is very far down. But... he had to try this. If it worked it would be so badass. If it didn't... well, here's hoping it's painless.

Taking two steps back, Red Sentinel flashes a small wave at his partner before breaking out into a sprint and silently diving off of the building. Immediately he felt a sense of fear as the wind tore at his body, his jacket flapping in the wind as he spread his body to slow himself, focused upon his target. Reaching behind himself he motions to grab a small holster in his back pocket. Withdrawing as small gun shaped device with a hook at the exit, he gives a small prayer before firing the grappling hook towards a stray pole.

The hook, designed by Batman himself and modified by his master, worked perfectly as it hit the pole and lightly wrapped around it, slowing Red Sentinel and swinging him along through the air like spiderman in those old comics he used to steal. Withdrawing the hook, he repeats the process twice more before hitting the ground with a roll just to the side of where the robbery was going down.

Withdrawing his guns, he barely had time to react as two men emerged from the building, armed with automatic rifles. Immediately Red Sentinel snaps off shots towards the two, sending both to the ground in a froth. Giving a small smirk, he nonchalantly walks towards the emtrance of the bank.

Just in time to see a figure waving at him from the inside as a second wave of flames and explosions rushed out to meet him.

Lila was already tiring of this cat and mouse game. She watched as Lark leapt from the building, and she ran forward to make sure the other girl landed safely and didn't just splat on the concrete below. There was a close call as Lark missed the landing but caught herself with a hand, Lila's breathing literally stopped and then began again. "Good lord," she whispered to herself and shook her head. "I'm not making that j-" she cut off as her phone began to ding incessantly. The hell? Fingers delved into her cleavage and she pulled out her phone and showed it to Lark across the way. "Group emergency call!" she stated before turning and running back the direction she had come from. She was, in fact, still on the roof of their building.

Shard never had his ringtone on, it had been something he'd picked up on ever since he began carrying a phone around. Since stealth had been the most important aspect of his training, aside from a whole ton of combat training, he thought having something that could so easily give away his position was dangerous. So he always kept it on vibrate.

He ignored the vibration against his leg, knowing that it had been a trick to try and locate the other people that had been hiding. It wasn't long after the phone call that Shard felt the explosion.

Letting his illusion fall away, Shard pushed himself away from the wall, making his way to the door as quickly as possible.

"Game is over, sounds like we've got a situation on our hands. " In a way, Shard was happy, or at least relieved. Now he'd be able to see his team in action. He just needed to get there in time.

Lark hesitated. Lila seemed to think there was a legitimate crime in progress. Sighing, the wannabe hero backed up and took another running leap, back to the roof she'd just escaped from.

If she was tagged, so be it. She didn't want to play tag anyway.

This time when she jumped, she actually managed to land on her feet on the rooftop, but her landing was ruined by a quaking causing Lark to lose her balance. The sound of the explosion could be heard not too far off. If their hadn't been a crime before, there was now.

Now Lark was quick to climb back into the window she'd previously escaped from, swiping up her phone as she passed, looking to Shard for direction. Do they just... go? Should they make a plan? If it had just been her, she would have gone, but she'd supposed to be on a team now.

Right?

"So, uh, do we all carpool?"

Watching as the masked vigilante wannabe took a running start to dive down towards the other building, Telek immediately realised what he was trying to do and ran towards the edge of the building with her hand reached out, her fingers outstretched only to barely miss the moron. "Hey- Wait- NO SEAS COJUDO!" The idiot went to take a beauty dive as if he were on a gymnastics tournament and with his hand out, he quickly reached into his pocket to grab some sort of pistol-like device and shot out a hook that slowed down the speed that he was travelling at and land him safely near the building.

Now let's go over that shit, the building that they were standing on previously wasn't that tall to begin with. Ladena Valley was new, and none of the buildings seemed to reach the height of the big city skyscrapers that Telek had seen on TV. This most likely because the town was dominated with teenagers and not large scale businesses. Of course, this was the tallest building that could be seen for kilometers but that's not saying much considering the height of the other buildings, most of which barely reached 20 meters since the tallest buildings would usually be residential buildings, either apartments or dormitories, which reach 21 meters or 30 at most. This building was at least 40 meters tall BUT NOT TALL ENOUGH THAT GRAVITY WAS SOMETHING YOU COULD SHRUG OFF. The force acting upon an object in free fall would be at a constant velocity of 10m/s. Therefore, realistically, Red Sentinel was meant to end up as a blood splat on the ground rather than accelerate at a slower rate as he did just now since during the first few moments of free fall, air resistance wouldn't balance out the force of his weight acting downwards that quickly. Since Telek was such a nice and caring individual who didn't like to be scolded and wanted to get on Shard's good side even though their leader wasn't even present, she decided to help the imbecile out by allowing him to fall at a slower rate and lead him to believe that he had done his calculations correctly rather than he be pissy about how he didn't need her help and act like a child. This way, she won't have to deal with a dead body, Shard won't get mad and she won't have to deal with the Red Hood protege's stupid bickering. Win-win situation.

Sighing into her mask, Telek grabbed the telecommunication device that was stuffed inside her hoodie. Flipping the phone open, she issued an emergency call and sent out a little note so the members wouldn't be confused by the previous one. "Crime taking place near center of town. Everyone report here immediately. I'll send my location. Or you can just follow the sound of gunfire. Anyone still in base, go grab Red Sentinel's weaponry. Poor thing can't do much without his toys."

As her teammates' phones started ringing , Tangle listened. Odd...she could have sworn Shard would be still in the vicinity. And yet , no ringtone could be heard that could possibly be deduced as Shard's. Looks like she just have to do this the more difficult way. Tangle hoped that the others wouldn't be pissed by her less than professional use of the emergency call feature.

Just then , everything shook. Reflexively , Tangle clung onto the windowsill she was squat upon. Once the quaking stopped , she hopped off the windowsill and back into the room just before Lark and Queen return. Her phone was still in her hand , when the next emergency call sounded. This one was genuine. Huh. And here she was actually getting into a game of tag.

And then to Lark's question , she answered with another question. "Wait , do we even have a car ?"
