A Little Broken
Elora's life had always consisted of fending only for herself. In this land, where Elves were few and Humans needed little reason to take them away, the young Elf had learnt to put herself first in order to stay safe. The Nightshade family had very different beliefs. They had taken her in and helped her as if she was one of the family. Her best friend Nephira Nightshade had meant everything to her, the first person she had trusted and loved since her mother was taken as a child.

Now, Nephy was gone. They had gotten to her, like they had gotten to Nephy's parents before that. What a way to prove that going it alone was the only way. Nephira had been protecting her little sister; a rare child of Elvin blood, and it had gotten her captured.
Now here was Elora, preparing to leave their current hideout with the little one in her care. Though it went against everything she believed, she knew she would have to take up Nephy's oath to protect the child. She owed it to the Nightshades and she owed it to her best friend.
"Come on, hurry." She urged the child, as they packed up what they would take with them, Elora keeping an eye out for danger.
The three of them had been staying here for the last few months, but it wasn't safe anymore, they had to move

Triss had always been watched over by her dear sister but she was gone now... now she was with her sisters best freind. She knew Elora hated her but she still watched over her like her sister did. Triss thinks its because her family had helped Elora so now she would keep her safe but how long until Elora grows tired of her? How long until Elora feels like her debt had been paid and abandons her?

Triss packs everything she could carry it was mainly food and other supplies they would need she didn't carry anything that wasn't of use... aside from her sister necklace that she now wore.

Elora's nerves was on edge. She couldn't be here anymore. She had lost yet another home and more importantly she had lost her best friend here. It hurt to look at the little one. There was so much resemblance to her elder sister and Elora couldn't help but wish Nephy was here instead. It was a horrible thought, she knew, to wish away the young one for a loved one. It was also wrong to feel the resentment she did towards her, but none the less it was there.
Elora sighed heavily. She had lost people before, this was nothing new. She would move on as she always did, looking after herself... Only now she had more to look after.
She watched the child gather belongings, and knew she would be hurting too; loosing the last of her family.
"We must go now, are you ready?" She had managed to clear her voice of animosity but there was no warmth in it's place.

Triss did a quick check in case she forgot anything they could use but she had everything. Triss had put her favorite stuffed animal under the floor bored's inside a container she would return for it one day.

Triss refused to cry at the lost of her sister... it would do no good.. because one day when triss became strong enough she would make the humans pay for what they have done... and she will find and rescue her dear sister..

Triss Looks over to Elora her eyes filled with courage and something else... "Yes.. i have everything we should avoid any main roads less likely to meet any humans.." Despite her age Triss was a child genius she wouldn't need to be watched over to much. Triss stands there thinking for a second. "We should go south there are major human settlements to the north and east and the grate mountains to the west... there is nothing but farmland and small villages in the south."

(triss grows up to be a powerful mage and starts a rebellion... sound fun? c: this wont be for a while tho XD )

Elora nodded to the child. She was a little surprised by her apparent intellect, but also annoyed at the interference into her leadership.
"I know where to go, thank you." She replied through gritted teeth.
With that, Elora began her journey without looking back, assuming the child would follow her.
"Make sure you keep up." She called over her shoulder before adding a little softer "Let me know when you need to rest."
Triss was young for an Elf but she had lived nearly a lifetime for a human. Elora would protect her the best she could for the sake of her best friend but she had an expectation that the young teen would pull her own weight. After all, Elora had been looking after herself at the same age, many years ago.

Triss followed right behind her. The two of them had been traveling for hours they had to hide a few times due to patrols but the girl did not want to slow them down so she pushed herself but she was to tired to continue. "Let's let's find some place to rest.." The little girl looked as if she was ready to pass out. She was a burden as she was slowing Elora down now.
