Earth is by the dining hall, where a sentient painting will recognize the earth student or the staff member, and if they confirm that any person who is with them that is not earth does not have malicious intent, it will swing forth to let the student and/or staff in. The entrance leads straight to the common room, as with all the other dormitories, and the common rooms all look the same save for the colors, which are brown and green for earth. Couches and armchairs reside around a crackling everlasting fire, with wooden chairs and tables for studying and relaxing for those who don't want to go to the garden or library.
