Name: Toz

Alias: The Courier

Age: Unknown

Height: 1'7"

Weight: 11 lbs

Species: Quasit (Shapeshifting Demon)

Affiliations: Owner of X Dimensional Deliveroo; Smuggler; Spy; Messenger; (former) Familiar of a wizard

Backstory:

Toz was born among the lowest rank demons of the Chaos Realm, the Quasits. These small demons survive the harsh environments of demon by pledging their service to a master, being summoned outside the realm, or from hiding inside a hole. For Toz, he became the familiar (summoned servant) of the Dimensional Wizard Imieric. His service to the wizard brought him across multiple dimensions of existence, with the Nexus at the center of everything. Over time, Imieric made too many enemies and was slain, freeing Toz from servitude, and allowing him to acquire some of the Dimensional Magic for himself.

Determined to be a self-sufficient quasit, Toz used his own natural abilities and pocket dimensions to smuggle all sorts of things across the various planes. His work naturally made himself enemies of the savory and unsavory sort, but also allies in the case of dimensional-hopping adventurers that need specific goods for their quests.

Abilities:
  • Swift-footed: As a wingless quasit, being mobile on land is a priority when it comes to avoiding creatures, so Toz is able to scamper on foot faster than the average human.
  • Minor Toxin: One of the quasit's natural weapons is the irritating toxins they can produce from their talons or mouth. The toxin is likely only fatal to creatures with a poor constitution, and even then the toxin mostly induces bouts of lethargy in the afflicted.
  • Shapeshifting: Shapeshifting is a core feature of quasits, allowing them to shift into any creatures as small as a rat, or as big as a dog. Quasits cannot accurately reproduce special glands or unique features of certain creatures (ex: the venom of a cobra), but can copy most creatures looks. Shifting into creatures does require a large amount of energy to restructure the body, so at most Toz can do this twice per day. Furthermore, the transformation will be cancelled out if Toz suffers too much physical or mental damage.
  • Invisibility: The other core feature of quasits is their ability to become invisible to the naked eye. As a demon the invisibility is not physical in nature, rather it is of arcane origin. Unlike shifting, invisibility is not taxing on the body and can be maintained fairly easily throughout the day. This is what makes the quasits a favorite underling as spies and messengers for greater demons and wizards.
  • Pocket Dimensions: Working alongside Imieric for decades enabled Toz to learn this minor spell. Upon drawing arcane runes surrounding the target for at least two minutes or longer depending on the size of the target, Toz is able to place the target in a pocket dimension. The pocket dimension cannot hold living targets, but can place targets that are the size of a truck. Toz's pocket dimension is virtually limitless, and recalling objects from the pocket is instantaneous. However, damage done to the inside of the pocket (ex: bomb explodes) will result in a rupture in the dimension and will continue to destroy Toz on the molecular level. [Damage must be significant enough to instantly destroy Toz]
  • Semi Immortal: As a demon, unless Toz is destroyed by a rupture in the pocket dimension, or his soul is targeted, he will be able to restore his body given a year of recovery. His soul will remain at the place of death for a short period of time, before returning to the Chaos Realm.
