Hello everyone!
I'm not sure if this site is the correct place to post about this. I'm fairly new to the roleplay community so some pointers would be very much welcome! I'm an amateur fiction writer who specialises in the fantasy adventure genre set in pseudo-historical timelines with dark and realistic undertones (however I do like the hint of the supernatural here and there). I've made an account on this site as I've designed a loose plot outline and would like to start a roleplay to gather story and character ideas, yet I have no clue which forum would be best to post that in. I'm also looking for a POV type of narrative are introduced along the way.
Do bear in mind that this would be quite a long drawn and arduous affair and my prose tends to be quite detailed and intricate (a.k.a I'm looking for people who would be devoted to this story). One last thing I'd like to stress out. In reality, I just want a mature person who can reasonably act out their character. I prefer realism so I don't want anything over the top (for the most part
. Another thing which would be equally desired is common sense in the historical meaning of the word. The usual - no guns and such, so that the story is authentic to its timeline.

Many years of war and turmoil have passed ever since the island nation of Zipango had been ravaged by the neighbouring empires of Cathay and Mungel. After many atrocious and hollow victories, the Zipangoan armies managed to repel the invading fleet calling up the might of the gods and demonic beasts to smite the invaders in their thousands. Yet it was at this moment of seeming safety that the cathayan spies decided to spring a trap, which resulted in the murder of the Emperor and the majority of the royal family. The only known survivors are the crown prince Yoshirou and his elder sister Yanuko. To make matters worse, the crime was so perpetrated so that the blame would be placed on the young prince. To this day he journeys in exile, travelling lands far and wide to gain allies, be reunited with his sister and reunite his shattered nation while it writhes in the hands of foreign spies.
The introductory premise is that he is reunited by chance with his sister after 3 years of hiding and they set out to rebuild their country. As you can see it references Japan in the sengoku period, so I hope the cultural references won't throw you off. If you're still interested I can post my character bio as well. I'm looking for people to reenact the main female lead (Yanuko) as well as various OCs to fill out allies, villains, political figures and everything in between.
