Since the last major battle in Haven, Yew learned his lesson. One must think three steps ahead of anybody especially in a battlefield. Each talisman holds a creature of his own creation and when summoned, will do Yew's bidding.
Spells and other... things are also written in these talismans.
Passive Abilities:
- Tracker - with different colored smokes coming from different people, Yew could follow one and track a specific person. This is mostly used to know where the leaders and their second-in-command is.
- Adoptive fighting - due to being trained with different styles of fighting, he quickly adopts a style to counter his enemy. This also includes the mastery of weapons.
- Poison resistance - could resist most of natural poisons and concocted potions. What could take him are the biological weapons made by humans that are not extracted.
- Lie Detecting - The smoke, or aura, around someone changes when they are lying. If one wants to lie on Yew's face, that someone should know how to control their aura, magic, and emotion at the same time.
Active Abilities:
- Eldritch Summoning - With the paper talismans, he could bring forth creatures from nightmares such as wraiths, wyverns, boggarts, and even sprites. All his summons are ghastly and skeletal in nature.
- Some might be bigger than him but are weaker in terms of power.
- Weakness of summoning is that he sacrifices his magic. The longer the summons are in the battlefield, the most he is weakened. An opponent will notice this when he starts leaving the battlefield.
- After summons, the creatures turn back to parts. He has to collect them again, hence why they look ghastly
- Could only summon three creatures. Going beyond that and he will loose consciousness
- Collection - To create his creatures, Yew has to collect body parts. He does this my using his paper talisman. A specific spell is chanted and the said part is captured inside the paper.
- He could not collect whole bodies and still beating body parts
- One chant could only collect about four body parts the size of a human leg. Bigger parts are required to be 'collected' individually.
- Rune Creation - With the paper talismans, Yew could call for elements through them.
- He could not control them. He just releases them from the paper. For example; if he was to use fire balls, a paper with the rune is taken between his fingers and is aimed at whatever he was facing. The fire ball is released in a straight line like a bullet coming out of a gun. He could not control the fire ball after released
- Those paper talisman are only to be used once. The paper, after the rune is used, disintegrates
- Could only do fifteen runes without rest. If ever he has his summons active, he could only do nine
- His latest rune creation is poisoned fog. This, when inhaled causes the muscles to relax. It will make the victim sleepy.

- Watching his leader and second in command get flustered and/or embarrassed

- Childish glee from others. It was only recently did he understood what "childhood" is
- Morbid things. Though he disapproves of Jhall's perverted side, the old man's ways of creating clothing had him interested.
- Testing different kinds of lipstick. And make-up.
- Nonsensical conversation. Information about a person is usually found here.
Dislikes:
- Hot, humid weather. Have you seen how many layers of clothes this man wears?
- Fire.
- Someone not concerned for their leader
- Black Rose. Reason for this is stated right above.
- Black Cross. They almost killed Glumisun when they came to invade Haven.
- People not following orders with a reason that "they were concerned about the others"
Personality:
For someone who has lived in a temple all his life, Yew is ironically the most sadistic officer. He will use his demon form in a way to bring forth fear and discomfort to people he dislikes. With him also conjuring creatures from the human's imagination, one could only pray he will not be that pissed off.
He does not care of the status of Haven nor the people to be sacrificed for the happiness of his wards; Nevylia and Glumisun. He will not care who he kills to bring those he deemed his friends happiness.
Bio:
The earliest memory he had was being sold to traders. He had been ripped from his home in the mountains and was transported to Haven. Being mature at his young age, he already accepted the abuse and mistreatment he will be having. His eyes turned cold when the highest bidder was one of the founders.
He did not expect that the founder would just hand him over to a temple. With that, his new lifestyle begun. He was taught of the healing arts and water manipulation but his heart still thirsts of blood and violence. The monks saw this and made an offer. He was to be trained as a soldier but must retain the teachings of the temple. Yew agreed immediately. His training was done outside of Haven and has discovered the beauty of summoning and morbid ways to collect parts for his creatures.
Introduced to the daughter of the said founder, Yew thought that this would be the perfect way to thank the person who saved him. He took it upon himself to show Glumisun the ways of the temple. There was a time when he joked about Glumisun try jumping from the highest floor in the temple towards the spiked area. To his horror and surprise, the girl actually did that. He had to stop him from actually jumping in the last second. With that discovery, he made sure that Glumisun got her emotions back. Over time, Yew thought of himself as Glumisun's adoptive brother. As she rose through the ranks of the temple to become a healer and a scholar, Yew was there to help him. He, too, did his best to get a seat as one of the officers of the territory without disregarding his duties in the temple.
When the fateful day came when the founders were summoned into the middle of Haven, Yew and a few officials were tasked to kill to the person who gave Glumisun the cursed instrument. He nodded, torn by Glumisun's pleading and the command of the highest ranking person. He was the first person to come to the temple. He was about to warn the tutor of what was tasked of them but was stopped when the tutor said that he already knew the consequences of giving the cursed instrument to the daughter of the founder. He then brought a flute and controlled Yew. Next thing Yew knew, he was standing before the carcass of the tutor.
Feeling the guilt of taking the life of someone precious to his adoptive sister, Yew joined in trying to control whatever abomination that was summoned in Haven. He was again ready to give his life. And once again, his life was saved when he was ordered to make sure Glumisun and the civilians were safe. He tried to disobey the given order but was given a scolding from the founder; using the "you belong to me. You listen to me" card. The last order he was given was to actually live and make sure Serpent's Kiss would thrive after the battle.
He was to be the second-in-command but declined. Glumisun then made a decision that Yew was to take up the leader position if ever Glumisun was killed. Jokingly, Yew accepted. How he almost went on a rampage when Black Cross came and battled with the leaders.
Currently, he is there to look after both Glumisun and Nelyvia. If not in Serpent's Kiss, Yew is found outside the city. He is there exploring and collecting parts for his summons.
Extra:
- The mark of Serpent's Kiss is on hit tongue and is colored blue
- There is also a mark of a slave at the back of his hand.
- Plays the Shamisen in lieu with his leader's instrument.
- Would rather stay in the territory than be out and about mingling with other demons outside the territory.
- He works under the Urban Planning Division. His primary concern is to make sure the territory thrives. All others are accomplished by Nelyvia, the Second-in-Command.
- He and Nelyvia does not usually see eye to eye but are actually a force to be reckoned with. Especially when they are in their mischievous mood.
- His anger is not the type where he will become loud and red. His anger is like being drenched in ice water. He will turn deadly silent and cold.
- Has a pet snake named Cherry
- When he is turning to his Demon Form, all his summons would disappear.
- A bit protective of Glumisun
- If not in the academy, he is always in Ghuli's Tailors
- A narcissist. He adores himself too much. Tell him he is a jerk? He will make that as a compliment.
