Deific Reality
In this RP you are you but someone else born into another world, a world with magic but it does use modern day physics. Technology is on the level of the Dark Ages or early medieval age except there's magic, beasts, dragons, and etc.

The two key roles are the Hero and the Great Dark Lord. Neither of these can be chosen as playable character.

Synopsis:
You among many other from Earth died all at the same time and you don't know why. You were all reborn in another world with your memories intake. If your female and choose to play as a male character so be it, etc. But there'd be some awkwardness to this since your hormones will be different. Those who are known as Seeds gain special abilities known as skills. Everyone is scattered and initially believe they are the only ones who ended up in this new world. Eventually though you will meet up with outers and that's how we'll start.

You can choose to ally yourself with the Great Dark Lord or the Hero, but you can start out neutral. The goal of course is to defeat the Great Dark Lord if you are allied with the Hero or the Hero if you are allied with the Great Dark Lord.

That said conflict has not started between these two at least not for the characters. But pending on what your characters do you may avoid the conflict or get involved with it much sooner.

You will need to post your character with their chosen skills in this thread first before posting.

You should imagine that your character is pretty much a hero or great villain themselves.

Here's what you need

Name:
Race: (Fantasy, yes you could be a vampire, unicorn or even a dragon. But vampires will be evil, keep that in mind.)
Gender: (Any)
Appearance: Image or descriptive text
Personality: descriptive text, at least a paragraph.
Background: What's your story, how'd you get here?
Skills: These are your powers above and beyond the normal person, So being a dragon with dragon like abilities would go here as that's already fairly powerful. So the more powerful race you choose, the less untreated racial skills you can have.
Equipment: So equipment can be special too but it needs to balance out as well.

If there any issues with characters let discuss them and resolve them here.
 
You'd probably drum up more interest in this if you posted in the bulletin board. Most people come here after having discussed in in the bulletin board, so they would be unlikely to peruse threads here. It's probably not too late; you could take everything above the character sheet template and copy it into another post over there.

In either case, I'll give this a go. I'll edit my character sheet into this post when I write it up.
 
Oh sick, there's an OOC thread already. I'm kind of waiting for other people to have a character first, cause I'm thinking it'd be fun to tie backstories. If anyone wants to do that I'd be very happy. If not, I can work with that.

Not sure. I think getting pushed into a society that's radically different would be interesting, so maybe orc or something to that effect?

What kind of tone would you be going for? More serious and gritty or something more lighthearted? I'm down for either.
 
I think that is going to be largely up to Norwaven, but I would probably lean toward gritty if I had my way.
 
Dark is good, then. So I'll probably go for being born as maybe an orc or another more brutal tribal culture. Maybe. Depends on what y'all end up playing. I don't want to pick a race that has nothing to do with or is nowhere close to where y'all are thinking of being.
 
Sick, since we're getting this started, what's all your preferences for how we go about this? I'd prefer to have intertwined backstories where we can, or at least a place in the world that makes it plausible for us to run together quickly enough. I'd honestly like it too if we could get the whole "we're all reincarnated from Earth" secret outed as quickly as possible, so I think my character will at least will wear that on their sleeve. Let me know what y'all think.

Also as a side-note I tend towards more cooperative than not, so let me know if you'd prefer that not to be the case and I'll do what I can.
 
I’d like to know what alliance you have in mind for your characters.

That way I know what NPCs to create and which IC posts I need put together and post.
 
Further I haven’t detailed the world, governments or cites yet. So the world building is open if you want a hand in it if not I have no problem putting it together myself.
 
I've got an idea for a gnomish tinkerer (artificer-ish). I imagine that would fit the Canon but just wanted to check. Obviously he'd be on the hero's side.
 
I have no idea which alliance to go for at the moment. Tentatively neutral? Maybe an orcish guy working as a caravan guard somewhere. Maybe I could be escorting the tinkerer somewhere?

I had an idea for some orcs. I was thinking that they had a society that was based around this concept called the "Black Rage," in which it is physically painful to be angry, thus necessitating for any conflict that results in orcs getting angry to be resolved quickly and violently. This would result in a society that is mostly placid and idyllic but is prone to sudden outbursts of violence. This probably means for lots of small, disunified tribes.

Both character concepts sound interesting and works.

I’ll work on setting this up for the hero side.
 
Currently thinking of making a character for the Demon Lord Alliance to balance things out. He'd prolly be an undead being of who is a class-switching freelancer of sorts.
 
I mean, I wouldn't worry about that. Whichever way you want to go. I'd be happy to have you on the side of good though.
