Jeanne Bonheur​

Jeanne is not an incredibly beautiful woman, and can often be described as dowdy by her colleagues. She's moderately built and very fit. Her hair is a light reddish brown and curly, cut short because she doesn't have time to manage it. Her eyes are a pale blue, sometimes grey.

In one eye, Jeanne has an implant. This implant is a thin contact lens that allows her to detect chemical levels around her, and makes them visible. Not only would she be able to figure out what kind of poison was used on a deceased victim, but the trail leading to the perpetrator.

She's known as Bloodhound, and she's a Lutetian detective.

A girl so chipper, one wouldn't imagine she gets her elbows deep in viscera on a weekly basis. The Gesataia holds enough connections for a young necromancer to experiment and learn faster than one would with roadkill and cryptic tombs like the rest of the community stuck in the middle class. Her wisdom in necromancy is great, though she lacks the raw power that her brother possesses.

This only ever happened around Ruben, and everyone knew what kind of family he was from. His parents lambasted him with books and classes and tutors because of his gift. Instead of becoming the star student that they wished, he defied them in every way possible. Ran away from home. Smoked. Stole. Acting in general, foul and distasteful.

Everyone knew Hubert. Why, who couldn't love the chubby comedian of a man who poked jokes at himself, ate too much, and went out with any chap for a beer?

Well, one night, a very mad werewolf decided he didn't love Hubert. That werewolf turned Hubert into his personal chew toy.

Hubert thought he would die. Much to his amazement, shock, and horror, he didn't. He became a monster instead.

This was rather hard for Hubert to digest, much like the roadkill he pulled apart on his first night as a werewolf. Such things frightened him, and much to the disgust of other werewolves,

A scrappy and run-down kid, Felix never had it easy. School wasn't ever that great. Teased, bullied, and excluded by the other children, given warning looks by the teachers, he never did grow to like it. Throughout the years, the only friend he'd manage to keep was his brother.

Though she can't control magic freely as other witches, she has found ways to siphon it from her surroundings and fuel spells, hexes, and curses to her convenience.

The world never did right by Ninon. Born deformed, poor, and the daughter of a witch, the young girl rarely saw the sunny side that her sister pleaded her so desperately to turn towards. Ninon's only saving grace was her family, but as she grew into adolescence, her parents vanished.

Fed up, sick, and heartbroken, Ninon turned to the darker of her mother's books and called forth a powerful but foul demon to whom she offered her soul. She then cast herself out into Lornaine, becoming a creature that scared children inside before dark.

Abilities:

• Soul Reading - a skilled animancer is able to interact not only with the souls of the dead, but also those of the living. Performing a soul reading gives an animancer insight into the spiritual wellbeing of the subject, as well as their emotional state. This has applications in diagnosing some mental disorders such as depression, or in helping provide therapy and guidance to those who need it.

• Forensic Animancy - there is significant overlap between generalist Spirit Binding and forensic animancy, but there are some key differences. Forensic animancers are trained specifically in techniques to call spirits in a fully sapient form, so that they are able to answer questions that may advance police investigations. This increases in difficulty the longer the subject has been dead.

Abilities:

Though most of Cerise's magic seem to be parlor tricks, she saw it important to learn the most useful magic of all: the kind that helps you run away. Manipulating wind magic, she learned to boost herself onto rooftops, knock pursuers off their feet, and save herself from potentially fatal descents. She can cause deafening booms and create small storm clouds and nonlethal charges.

Pack leader of the Nightshade wolf gang, Taiyi carries the strikingly sharp visage of a deadly leader. Every inch of her body screams of maliciousness. Rumors say she glazes her nails with poison. Rumors say she's a demon.

She heads one of the larger prostitution markets in Lutetia City. If you want one of Taiyi's, you ask for her Daughters. She smuggles her most exotic pieces from out of the city, some of which are vaguely human.

Her pack functions less loudly than Bloodstone or the Scions. They deal in the shadows and pin their crimes to other packs. Only Taiyi's name, and not her face, is well known throughout Lutetia City.

Esti lived a fairly normal life, or as far as normal could go in a small town outside of Westeria. She and her father stayed in a cheap apartment and they held their own. It wasn't until the early years of high school that Esti discovered she wasn't quite so ordinary.

Under the bleachers, during the year's first pep rally, Esti had been whisked away by a crush. It was in the heat of the moment that she realized she couldn't keep her hands off of him. Literally.

She screamed when she noticed the skin of her palms fusing with his cheek, nearly ripped it off in her panic. She ran all the way home and didn't attend school for a week.

Trying to help, her father sent her to a specialist, who ran her through more tests than a standardized school system. In the end, they determined Esti had quite a special, natural ability: Esti was a biomancer.



Abilities:

Esti has a large range of utility due to the nature of her powers. Simply put, she can manipulate the workings of organic material. When connected to the nervous system, she can decipher and manipulate neural activity and control bodily functions.

Though a hard life in Terra looking after his living brother toughened him, he retained shaky virtues of honor and justice. Defender of the small, but thief to the wealthy. It's not something he's likely to admit, especially to the gangs back in Westeria.
