(Incomplete)

Name:
Euna Callicott

Gender: Female

Age:
20

Country:
Scotland

Occupation:
Pilot (but like, dragons)

Rank (if applicable):
N/A

Relationships:
Euna has a special bond with two dragons in particular, siblings she had found after the first bombing of the war. They had just hatched, but their mother had been killed, most likely by a few stray bullets. The dragons grew alarmingly fast, and she named them Lunaris and Solaris. By the time they were four months old, they were as big as a war ship. Lunaris is varying shades of blue, while Solaris's scales are fiery red to warm orange.

Appearance: Euna has deep burgundy hair, which falls in waves just past her shoulders. She's slim and tall, with barely any muscle showing despite years of riding dragons. Euna has pale skin, and usually wears simple shirts underneath a furry jacket, as well as boots and pants that allow her to move freely. A pouch she's had since childhood hangs at her waist, and goggles can usually be seen poking out from under her messy hair. Sometimes she carries around a bow, as it can be fired from the back of an airborne dragon with relative accuracy.

Personality:
Euna has a fiery temper, and is quick to anger. She comes off as unfriendly at first, as she tends to snap at people and doesn't talk much. Euna is stubborn, and never backs down from anything.

Backstory:
Euna's parents were killed when she was barely 1 year old, in a fire that destroyed her home. Euna grew up in an orphanage, but her blunt way of speaking and unfriendly attitude meant she was never adopted. She only had one possession of her own. A small bouch which she hung from her belt, with a compass inside. It had been passed down through her family for generations.

For her first seventeen years, Euna was bullied for her size and her love of dragons. They soared over the orphanage day and night, and she dreamed of flying away on one. Not many people could communicate with dragons, and there was little information about them. Euna wanted to know more. When she left the orphanage, Euna explored the wilds of Scotland. And that was when she found Lunaris and Solaris. Siblings, but wildly different in personality and appearance, their mother had been killed by stray bullets, and her final act was to protect her offspring. Euna raised them the best she could, and while there where lumps and bumps along the way, the dragons were at full size in just four months.

The first time she tried to ride a dragon, Euna broke two ribs and her left leg. However, she persisted, and the first time she had a proper flight, was when her own magical ability started to surface. Euna found herself inside the mind of Lunaris, seeing through her eyes. She could hear every thought in both their heads. They were...communicating.

When the war started, Euna had begun to get used to her new skill, and could even use the dragons' powers through her own body. They were small things, like hovering in the air for a few seconds, or sparks flying from her hands, but they existed, plain as day. Barely a few months into the war, Euna enlisted into the army.

Magical abilities(
If part of Allied powers, please list clear strengths and weaknesses as well): Euna can enter a dragon's mind with a lot of concentration, and if the dragon allows, can use it's powers, such as hovering, or shooting fire from her hands. She cannot do this often, and so far can only do it with Lunaris and Solaris, her two best friends. Entering a dragons mind also does not allow her to control it, but she can communicate directly and instantly with that dragon.

Well, the fact that the person that I asked for my 2nd rp decided to not respond in the conversation I think I will have room to join this rp, after all.

So mind giving some extra info on the spread of magic and non-human species in Europe? More specifically in Russia, because I have an idea due to my country's history with the Russian empire and German Empire.

*Is starting to realize that as more people show interest the more I'm going to have to actually make real structure and not just BS it all the way and hope for the best*

Sentient Non-humans are most widespread in Russia, though that is still only about 10% of the population. Overall they are rather rare and often highly discriminated against (much like blacks in most cultures around that time). Magic itself is very prevalent in the allied countries, being used for almost everything.

Mhm. Allied countries? AKA Entente or Central Powers or both?

It is, just like how there are still steampunk/diesalpunk machines in the Entente, however machines are vastly more common and viewed with much more respect then magic. Magic is mostly just for a cheap show or for training against magic wielding soldiers. Basically in the Entente, machines are viewed as barbaric and low class, and in the Central powers magics are viewed as barbaric and low class.... and America uses both cause America.

Hmm... And yet you said that in Russia there are people who practice magic...
And in German Empire people worship diesel...
Hmm...
And so I found a technical solution for combining these two, all thanks to the knowledge of history.
Care to tell me more about what is the extend of machines' and magic's power?

Russia is Entente so it is primarily magic based, machines are rare.
and steam, or a combo of both.
hmm...
horray history!
Machines are more advanced for their time period, but still inefficient and produce lots of pollution. You'll generally find walkers and tracked vehicles, though wheels are used for low class civilians. Electricity is, of course, a thing the central power's use for light and other such things. The most powerful machines are the land battleships, which are giant, six legged walkers the size of a sea battleship. Sea forces are mostly battleship sized vessels as well, often with kraken fighting arms and depth charges, and anti-dragon AA guns. Air wise, mostly just slow biplanes, which are completely outclassed by dragons, though development is going fast.

Magic wise, dragons, krakens, and other such monstrosities are used, though aren't exactly easy to train or breed. More commonly you'll find smaller mythological creatures. Lights are powered by magic, as for actual use, the most powerful spells can produce hurricane force winds, cause localized flooding, or small earthquakes. More common is your standard magic, fireballs, ice shards, healing spells, etc. If one isn't using magical creatures, then vehicles engines are also powered by magic, though less powerful then the central power's engines.

Basically, you'll find machines everywhere in the Central powers, and magic every where in the Entente.

So. Alexander II (1855-1881) was, in our timeline, behind the act of starting the industrialization of Finland, trying to make it be a ''Image of what Russia is going to be'' for the Western civilizations to see and admire.

I am curious about one thing: Is this still the same about Finland getting first drops of industrialization, making Finland be industrially in a better shape than rest of Russia, or is it Finland getting drops of magic teaching, making it be in a better shape than rest of Russia in terms of magic education and magic progress?

Also, sentient and non-sentient non-humans of what species are located in Russia?
Undead? Ice Dragons? Ice Elves? Yetis? Polar Bears? :O

Since Russia is mainly magic based, then Finland would be in better shape magic wise.

Snow elves, yeti's, ice dragons. Undead is not a thing here, and I guess polar bears can be if you use some crazy magic that probably wont exist yet.

( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)... Can there be magic related to manipulation of technology? Like Technopathy or technomagic?

I just want to ask, what would you call the dragon equivalent of a pilot? Dragon Rider?

Yea, what Enki said.

And no, magic has yet to have time to adjust to the advent of machines and electricity. Magic has been around a while, but creating new spells is a very slow process, let alone creating a new school of spells. That's why a lot of very powerful spells dont exist yet.

Though the electricity part can technically be done through lightning magic, yes?
