BIOGRAPHIES

Name: Glace Bergsson
Age: 16
Godly Parent: Chione, Goddess of Snow and Winter
Abilities: He can lower the temperature around him, and bring any object down to near freezing. He is able to form ice crystals from water and shape it however is needed, but cannot make elastic items or machines with moving parts. He can form a sword or spear but not a bow or gun for example. He is limited to the water he has available, and can pull water vapor from the air if need be.
Weapons: His powers over the ice can help him in many situations, but the weapons he produces cannot kill monsters and send them to Tartarus. For that, he needs a magical metal, and so he uses a dagger he received as a tragic gift to slay them.
Brief Description: Glace can come off as detached and cold, something he likely inherited from his mother along with her powers. He feels alone as the only current child of Chione in Camp Halfblood, and tends to keep to himself. However, he has a soft, warm center that contrasts the personality that rests on the surface.

PLOT

Hades is at it again, trying to take over Olympus and the rest of the world. With the help of some minor, overlooked and bitter deities, Hades has managed to capture Lord Zeus and brother Poseidon, trapping them in Tartarus. With this, winds turn bitter and the sea turns violent since he let Oceanus and Uranus take the place of his brothers; and the world is looming on the edge of very dark times with the way Hades starts to rule. He is mimicking the structure of the Underworld, bringing it above ground, and setting a cloud of doom and despair over the world. His kids - the few he has - want nothing to do with his plans, but are torn between what is right and their Father. The children of Zeus and Poseidon are scared, hoping beyond hope that Hades doesn't hold it against them for being their father's children, and are stuck hiding away in Camp Half-Blood - even if it's strongly against their nature to do so.

It is looking Hopeless, as there has been no sign of a quest or prophecy from Delphi, and campers are worried as to what this means for them. Finally, after the most recent campers get to camp, there is a prophecy - a quest for those same few campers. They are to set out on a life endangering quest against the god himself, with nothing but each other to take him down. Can they succeed? Will they be able to send Hades back to the underworld, free Zeus and Poseidon, and set the world back on its proper course? Or will the world really end in nothing but despair?

Daphne sat under a big shade tree on the edge of the woods, facing the ocean. It was a beautiful day out - not that was different that any other day at Camp Half-Blood - and she thought it would be a nice break from training to sit in the midst of nature and read one of her favorite books: Alice In Wonderland. She had read the book so many times that it was embeded into her brain, and she could recite it by heart word for word. Of course, that never stopped her from rereading it. She loved the randomness of it, the way everything was so different and so strange, and the weird adventure that Alice embarks on. And her favorite poem - The Jabberwocky - was in it (which she also had memorized).

A gentle, warm breeze blew her red hair behind her and she closed her eyes peacefully. She could hear nature growing around her, hear the animals chattering away in the woods, feel the blissfulness of the world around her. She smiled, This is nice, she thought, I need to do this more often. She opened her blue-gray eyes and looked back down at her book, continuing to read in the beautiful nature.

Glace sat on the edge of his bed, elbows on his knees, eyes glued to the white tiled floor. Cold air sat in stillness around the 16 year old, but the chill didn't effect him. The freezing temperatures had never bothered him throughout his life. It was strange, and he wasn't able to explain why. Until a week ago. Now he knew. It all made sense.

Reaching behind him, Glace pulled an object from his waistline. He held it by the hilt while inspecting the short blade passively. Glints of light flickered off of the silver colored metal as it turned in his hand. It was light, but sturdy and sharp; crafted by the magic of the Gods.

Glace sighed, a sad look in his eyes as he stared at the perfect craftsmanship. He had the answers he was always after. Why the cold never affected him, why objects accedentally froze themselves when he touched them, who and where his mother was... But even with the newfound knowledge, the information that he wasn't the only freak out there, he still wasn't satisfied and happy like he thought he'd be. Was it worth it? Were the answers really worth his best friend's life? His Dad's? No. That was obvious. And even though he was surrounded by demigods it didn't feel like he was one of them. Almost everyone had half brothers and half sisters except for him. He had the entire Chione cabin all to himself. Every cold and lonely squarefoot.

A trumpet sounded from outside, and he looked up at the closed door. Replacing the knife in his waist belt at his back, he slowly put his feet onto the ground. That was the call for dinner, where everyone would pile their plates with food, burn some of it, and sit with their friends and family. The demigod walked across the room and stepped outside to join them. But Glace didn't feel very hungry. And he would probably end up sitting alone again.

A trumpet sounded off in the distance from behind Daphne. Dinner, she thought as she finished the page of her book before marking the page with a white paperclip and closing the book. With a last look at the calm Long Island Shore, the Naiads playing under the water, and turned to walk towards the Big House for dinner.

She got inside and sat at her table - empty as usual. The few siblings she has were all with their families until the end of summer, leaving Daphne alone. She sighed as her food and drink were delivered onto the table; it was pizza day - her favorite. A slice of olive pizza appeared and her goblet filled with cold Dr. Pepper. She made her way to give her offering to Persephone and sat back down at her lonely table.

Daphne didn't mind being the only one at her table, not really. It meant that she could continue reading without any disruptions from her siblings. She took a bite of her pizza - delicious as usual - and opened her book back up to where she left off.

Glace took his time getting to the dining hall. His cabin was one of the further ones out, and he wasn't in any rush. So when he finally entered the Big House, almost everyone else in Camp Halfblood had beaten him. And that meant there weren't any empty tables left for him. Whatever, he thought, I'll just eat quickly. He walked over to the the most barren table near him and took a seat. A few slices pepperoni-sausage pizza magically appeared in front of him as he sat down. His goblet filled up with clear water as if an invisible pitcher was pouring it into the cup. Glace took a slice of pizza in hand before getting up from his seat again to toss it into the fire. He didn't know if Chione liked meat pizza, but he didn't really care much either. She would have to deal with it, like he had to deal with growing up motherless.

He sat back down and began to eat while internally sulking. He was frustrated at how everything had turned out for him so far, and the demigod couldn't help but blame his Goddess of a mother for it. He drank some water and glanced down to the other end of the table. There was a redhead sitting there, reading a book. He looked away again. Glace knew he should try to make friends. He'd been here for almost a week and barely said anything to anyone, save the councilors and some short words with others in his lessons. But he wasn't sure he was in the mood to start up a conversation. He sighed and kept eating. It was easier this way, to not try. He would just finish his meal and return to his cabin. Again. Did he really want to embrace that boring life forever? His eyes flicked back over to the girl. Maybe he should try...

(Hi there, sorry I've been MIA for so long. I got super busy with school and work and what not. But I'm back now, if you're willing to continue this RP!)

Daphne put the slice of pizza up to her lips, ready to take another delicious bite, but hesitated. She could feel someone watching her. She used her peripheral vision to glance at the boy sitting on the other side of the table from her, his eyes on her, and he looked a bit nervous. She set her slice back down on her plate and met the boy's eyes, her own pale blue ones twinkling with intrigue, "I won't bite, " she smiled, and let out a soft giggle, "Unless you're a slice of pizza that is." She shut her book after placing her bookmark inside and set it next to her plate, "Do you want to move down here and have lunch with me?" Her smile was warm, welcoming, and she was very interested in this lonely boy - for what reason, only the Gods knew.
