Nickname: The man that killed Batman. The Hated Scourge of Gotham. Payback.

Born 18 years before the start of the Gotham wars to a highly skilled assassin (Rock Darkseid) and a mutant soldier girl (Warsaah McKnight); Arkham ran the crime infested streets of Suicide Slums where he found the majority of his enemies, of which, most have been laid to rest at the cities burgeoning graveyards.
In only a few years Arkham became a force to be reckoned with and gained a reputation for mixing it up with the big time crime families and well known criminals of the Slums. Soon he came to be known as the living Legend of Suicide Slums. So efficient a killer was Arkham, that the Joker: Batman's chief adversary, took notice and went to acquire the services of the infamous Darkseid.
But it was in Gotham city that the Joker would be turned down flat. Arkham found the Joker to be distasteful and didn't hesitate in expressing his sentiments.
The Joker was livid and a major and bloody confrontation erupted between the Joker's gang and Arkham. Which caused a major disturbance as well as left many of the people of Gotham injured and others in critical condition. The police and special force squads were ready to have the mayor declare a state of emergency, after their forces had been terminally decimated, by both warring parties; but Arkham specifically: when the Bat finally arrived and drove off the Joker and his gang and then fought Arkham to a complete standstill.
It would be two months later when Arkham would take on an elite military shadow Government squad on the streets of Metropolis.
The Government wanted to train Arkham and make him a prominent member of their elite squad but he wanted nothing to do with the Government and refused their advances, leading to a battle where the shadow squad would be defeated horribly; each member was killed: and it was later discovered that Arkham had absorbed the elite soldiers war tactics mastery and fighting expertise as well as their combined years of experience and training in warfare.
Those factors combined with his already superior weapons making abilities, above peek human capabilities, and senses, along with his super healing factor, elevated the living legend of Suicide Slums into a walking instrument of death.
But not forgetting about an unsettled score to settle, the Joker sent his men to kill the parents of Arkham on his 18th birthday.
And after it was discovered who was behind the murder of his parents, Arkham cared nothing about the Gotham wars that had the criminal elements of the city fighting against the established agencies of law and Government, which had pretty much brought the city to it's knees.
Entering the war zone on an unstoppable mission of revenge; Arkham was personally responsible for thousands of deaths among the common criminals that had aligned themselves with the Joker as well as the members of Jokers gang. And he also injured a good amount among the law enforcement community that tried to stop him from getting to his designated target....the Joker. The Joker was within seconds of his life being taken from him when Batman arrived on the scene and managed to separate Arkham from the clown of Gotham city. But in doing so....Batman placed himself in the path of the eye of the raging storm that had blown into Gotham in the form of Arkham Darkseid.
The two combatants waged a fierce battle against each other for just under two hours. But this time there would be no stalemate.
When it was all said and done the unthinkable had occurred; Gotham cities hero had fallen in battle; critically battered and beaten the Bat would succumb to his injuries 8 hours later in a Gotham city hospital.
Arkham become the most hated villain in the world. And the most wanted criminal of both Superman and the Justice League as well as the Government shadow agency.
Many of the common criminals of Gotham and even a few of the elite reached out to Arkham in hopes of partnering with the man that killed Batman.
Arkham didn't refuse their offers but he didn't accept them either. And despite the constant pressure being applied by Superman and the Justice League; Darkseid remained true to form, conducting business all across the world, though, not quite in the same way as before; having built an entire underground city called: Argos: where he rules with an iron fist.
Arkham doesn't trust new faces and is careful about the when and where of his emerging from the underground world that he's created.
But if the price is right....Arkham Darkseid wont hesitate to show his face in the upper world, even in the daylight.
