The Wyld Wood
The sound of shifting vegetation and calling animals from within the Wyld Wood is loud, but currently around standard levels, signifying that the Wyld is as calm as it’s going to be at any point in the near future. The vegetation beyond its border is impenetrable by vision, but still the feeling of being watched emanates from its depths.

The Wyld Wood is an ever shifting mass of vegetation, it's geography changes as if on a whim, and those that enter may find no orientation. Even the most experienced woodsmen may become lost, and even the deadliest Fiend may find themselves longing desperately for escape.

Any adventurer daring to wander through the woods would no doubt get lost, stumbling around in the dark surrounded by an ever-changing scenery and the incessant chatter of smaller animals, rabbits running around, mice burrowing beneath the fallen leaves, and squirrels leaping from branch to branch. If they were particularly unlucky, all this noise would stop, an an eerie silence would fall over the woods, as if even the trees were holding their breath, refusing to move. An then, the silence would be broken, some sound weaving through the woods that might sound like someone singing, yet far more disturbing, no words to be heard, just a low, guttural sound, like someone had been told what singing was, but hadn't actually heard anyone sing before.

After an indescribable amount of time had passed, which might seem like years but had been little more than seconds, some creature would come stalking through the woods, visible only as a spectre in the distance before it stalked closer, still singing it's hideous sounding song, the words sounding not foreign, but like from some other plane of existence. It's front legs were freakishly long, grabbing the trees with elongated digits, leaving deep gouges in the wood. It's back legs were shorter, and ended with goats hooves, yet didn't make any noise as they were placed in the ground. After taking in the monstrosity of its limbs, the eyes would no doubt be drawn to its chest, something resembling a man's torso, yet covered with a grey fur, a large hole in the middle of its chest revealing the still beating heart, protected by cracked and broken ribs, blood dripping from the organ onto the ground. It's head was no prettier a sight, something akin to a dogs snout topped with a deers antlers, not looking as magnificent as the deer in the wild, but as if the horns had sprouted out of its skull in a most painful fashion, the white bone covered in blood. To top off the ensemble, it's flesh was rotting in places, and occasionally seemed to be missing, leaving bone exposed, no muscle or flesh present, as if the creature was a construct of some dark, sinister magics, as opposed to nature.

From a glance, the creatures purpose and allegience would be unknown, if it was a helpful guide or hindering demons, although it's looks might make someone choose the latter option. It would look around, it's eyes sockets empty, revealing just the darkness of its skull, an even more unsettling image.
