Name:
Tanwen Davies

Superhero Name:
Polaris

Age:
17

Sexuality:
Pansexual

Relationship Status:
Single

Species:
Meta-Human

Friend or Foe?:
Friend

Backstory/Origin Story:
Tanwen grew up in a relatively quiet town in Wales, living quite a normal life. She never was very exemplary - she was average in school, average in looks, average in talents. At 14, she was tired of being average, itching for excitement - longing for it, longing for something more than just this dull, ordinary life. Of course, she should have known to be careful with what she wished for. Roaming in places where no young girl should, Tanwen had broken into a science laboratory that had been shut down, or so she believed. As she made her way through the winding corridors, she became all too aware that something wasn't quite right with her surroundings. Something in her chest told her to turn back, and yet she ignored it, pushing further on.
As she continued down the corridors, she finally came across a room with two large, metal doors. The door slightly ajar, Tanwen had stepped closer to peek in, when the incident happened. An explosion of light poured from the room, forcing the young girl through the window and onto the ground below. She awoke days later, somehow finding herself in a hospital bed. It wasn't long after before she noticed something wasn't quite right with her.
She found she could manipulate the light around her. It was small at first, - capable of refracting the light to make small rainbows, or brightening lamps whenever she was anxious or irritated. Her parents becoming steadily more concerned about her, they shipped her off to America - things like that were easier to overlook in sprawling cities than they were in quaint Welsh villages. This leads us to now - Tanwen living alone, still unsure of her abilities but steadily growing more capable of controlling them.

Mentor:
Green Lantern

Power:
Tanwen has the ability to control light. This allows her to do a multitude of things, from creating illusions, giving the appearance of invisibility, or blinding her foes. She can't maintain any illusions for any extended period of time, however, still unskilled in her usage of her powers.

Abilities/Talents:
Tanwen has a small background in martial arts training, having participated in classes during her childhood. As a former ballet dancer she has a certain degree of flexibility, although somewhat out of practice.

Weapons:
Tanwen prefers to use her fists when it comes to a fight.

Strengths:
Her ability to manipulate light to form illusions and to blind foes is a great asset to her, but Tanwen has strengths beyond that. Physically strong from her training in martial arts, she's more than capable of holding her own in a fight without the usage of her powers. Intelligent, it's not easy to run her for a fool - although she is certainly fallible. Tanwen is also fearless to a fault, and there are very few things she wouldn't do for her friends and loved ones.

Weaknesses:
While certainly fearless, Tanwen also has a reckless streak. Hot headed, she tends to charge into situations without fully thinking them through. Despite her intelligence, she's rather emotional, making it easy to crawl under her skin and cause her to act out. She can't maintain any of her illusions for longer than an hour, and doing so causes her immense physical stress. This is due to a lack of full control of her abilities.

Looks:
Tanwen, while beautiful, isn't particularly extraordinary in any way. With short, blonde hair and pale skin, she seems something of a stereotypical girl. Golden brown eyes are framed by long, thick lashes, her lips full and pink, albeit chapped. Standing proud at 5"6, she's of an average height, with a slender build.

Name: Thomas Redborne

Superhero Name: Refusal

Age: 17

Sexuality: Heterosexual

Relationship Status: Single

Species: Meta-Human

Friend or Foe?: Foe

Backstory/Origin Story: Born in Gotham as the son of a world renowned martial artist, Thomas was under a lot of pressure from birth to live up to his old man's name along with his twin brother, Michael. The two were like night and day. While Thomas was lean and had dark hair, Michael resembled their father, stocky and wide, with bright blonde hair. Thomas was quiet and shy, Michael was loud and popular, so on and so forth.

Throughout his entire life, Thomas was repeatedly overshadowed by his stronger, tougher, more skilled and popular little (by 3 minutes) brother, and he developed feelings of inadequacy because of this. By the time he was in high school, Thomas had begun taking these feelings out on the local school delinquents and dealers, provoking anyone and everyone that looked mildly dangerous into a fight.

Eventually however, he bit off more than he could chew. The local gangs had grown tired of him constantly breaking their supply routes in his need to feel superior, and they sent a hit squad after him to remove him, permanently. Although he was able to see them coming, and take out a few, eventually Thomas found himself staring down the barrel of a gun, with no way out. Suddenly, there was a scream and a shout, and for a while everything went black.

As he regained consciousness, Thomas could feel the bullet in his forehead, slowly being repelled. Sitting up and prying the bullet out, he looked around and came face to face with Michael, lying there in a pool of blood. There was no one else to be seen. Panic gripped Thomas, and he pulled himself over to Michael, he found to his horror that he wasn't breathing, and hadn't been for a while. He had sacrificed himself in an effort to save Thomas, to stop the bullet, an effort that would have failed had it not been for his newly discovered ability. Just as the shock set in Thomas panicked, quickly leaving the scene of the crime, and his brothers corpse. Running as far and as fast as he could away from that dreadful place.

It took him four weeks to be able to comprehend his surroundings, his ability keeping him alive despite the intense hunger. But when he did begin to think again, to understand what had happened, he was filled with self loathing and rage. Rage towards the people that did this, rage towards the ones that had killed his brother. So he set to work. He cut all ties with his family and disappeared for three years. Over the course of those three years, one by one the gangs involved began to disappear, collapsing in on themselves or being outright eradicated. His story begins in the middle of the last gang's holdout, with the last of the gang bosses crumpled at his feet, neck snapped.

Mentor(If any) : Ra's al Ghul.

Power(s) (If applicable) : Thomas cannot physically die. That is it. No matter what condition his body is in, no matter how burnt, destroyed or cut up, he still lives. He can feel and freely move any part of him that has been removed from his body (If the part physically can). He has a minor healing factor, allowing him to reattach severed limbs in just a few seconds, and he can eventually grow back from anything, if given enough time.

Abilities/Talents: Thomas has talent as a brawler. While he may not be physically intimidating, his keen eyes and logical way of thinking make him adept at hand to hand combat, weaving in and out of the enemy's range and striking at their exposed and vital areas. His body is designed towards being as light on his feet as possible while keeping enough power to damage his enemies. His particular style of fighting that he has developed to suit himself involves a combination of shocking punches and devastating aerial kicks.

Weapons: His fists and his feet

Strengths:
Immortal: He can't die. That's about it.
Natural fighter: He is a natural martial artist, despite being inferior to his brother.

Weaknesses:
Overconfident: Due to his ability, Thomas often believes that when he is going to enter a fight, he will win in the end. This can be very dangerous for him if he's against foes that don't just use brute force.
His ability is susceptible to those who don't use sheer damage as a way of beating people.

Looks: When out of costume Thomas is a pale, somewhat scruffy teen with medium length hair and bright green eyes. He is rather tall and despite the copious amount of muscle on his body manages to look lanky. He is often dressed in a plain black t-shirt and dark blue cargo shorts with black sneakers.

When heading into a combat zone or meeting with other villains Thomas puts on his terrifying skull mask and dark billowy robes, effectively hiding every part of him from sight, allowing the enemy (and sometimes ally) to confuse him for being larger than he is.

Word soon got out that Harley and Joker were “raising” a child. Batman tracked down Joker and Harly to one of there many lairs. When he got there however he wasn’t met with either, instead Hailey was there. Joker had sent her to fetch something for him, not knowing that Batman would be able to track her there. Name: Victor Harper
Superhero Name: n/a
Age: 19
Sexuality: Bisexual
Relationship Status: Single (and ready to mingle)
Species: Human
Friend or Foe?: Foe

Backstory/Origin Story: Victor was just some guy who wanted to major Psychology when he was younger, but ended up taking Chemistry as a major whilst he minored in Psychology. He was top of his class for quite a while, as far as practical examinations went. However, when it came to theory, he had clashing ideas with the professor and most of the science nerd community. He was strongly for testing on humans and he had an ideology on how different gases could enhance different body parts greatly. However, with all these enhancements there would be major drawbacks and some chemicals were even lethal to a human being. Nobody wanted to test if his theories were correct and without a paper he would’ve been expelled. Instead, he experimented on different acids and how they affected metal. Graduating early after a nice, long and thorough analysis on literally a block of iron, he quickly went to find funding for the experiments he wanted to do.
Different governments had offered him a position to work with them, to use his experiments as military weapons but one letter intrigued him the most. It was messily written, like a doctor's handwriting. At first glance, it didn't seem like much until he got to the sender of the letter. Jonathan Crane. He had recognised the name, although he's only heard it once. Back when he was still in high school, he had gone to check neighbouring colleges to see their curriculum. He had come across a brunet man wearing glasses who had introduced himself with that name. The conversation they had was rather intriguing, ranging from simple human desires to fears and phobias. The mysterious man never returned to the campus and Victor never saw him again. Until that fateful day.
Ever since then, Victor has been under the tutelage of Jonathan Crane, otherwise known as Scarecrow, and is an active member of ‘The Light’. He often goes around to different groups and members to assist them in their tasks.

Mentor(If any) : Scarecrow
Power(s) (If applicable) : n/a
Abilities/Talents:
-Has knowledge on how to create different kinds of gases that afflict the various nerves around the body
-Excellent marksman
Weapons: Slingshot equipped with various vials that are filled with acids or different varieties of gas (toxins). Has an extra bag of fear gas but rarely uses it.
Strengths:
Science Expert- Studied chemistry for 3 years formally, however, he has had a lot of experiences where he would sneak into the science labs in school and experiment on different elements.
Psychology expert- People had always fascinated him, he’s always wanted to make friends but everyone thought he was strange and whenever he did, they ended up disagreeing with his views.
Marksman- Easily calculates a targets next move accurately enough to hit them.
Tactically adept- Is able to think up of escape plans in a matter of seconds
Resourceful- Uses the environment around him to his advantage

Weaknesses:
Relatively physically unfit- has never worked out or cared about physical things, therefore, he is terribly weak and can't run too fast.
Horrible social skills- although he likes learning about humans, he's far too terrified and awkward to talk to them. Even if he did, he does end up scaring them away most of the time.
Easily distracted- unable to focus on one task at hand, always wanders off.
Has limited amount of vials-
Horribly Disorganised- leaves vials and bombs lying around randomly on the floor.

Looks: Victor is a blonde haired male with blue eyes hidden behind a sturdy pair of prescription glasses. His face looks generally mature, with small burns covering his face or body most of the time due to the experiments he's been conducting. His height is 195cm (6'5") and he can always be seen wearing a lab coat and dark navy jeans. However, he does always change his tie, just to spice things up. Outside of the compound, he wears a mask that has a smiley face drawn horribly onto it, concealing his face.
