Yukurai: The Worldless Catastrophe

Hey there! So, character pitch.

In the world outside of Yukurai, I'm thinking that my character is a teenage delinquent. He spends most of his days drinking, smoking and getting into fights in honour of his group of friends, which he calls his gang. He's been to jail multiple times for theft, possession of weed, and other such things. On the day he gets pulled into Yukurai, he's just come to a peak in his crime career and gotten into a fight which resulted in the death of the other person, and chances are he's going to get caught and sent to prison for good. He won't remember this when he gets into Yukurai, which is why he'll still be okay with getting home.

I want the feature that remains about him to be his scars, of which he has multiple. Most are from stabs but he has one or two that are gunshot wounds and one big one by his hairline which is from cracking his skull open after passing out from drink. He has one scar across his right cheek, one across his ribcage, a few on his collarbone, and one on his back. There are also a few minor ones in his arms and legs. He has two gunshot wounds in his left forearm. The scars are special to him because they are essentially badges of honour. In the real world, the more scars you have, the more respect you get, so my character essentially collects them. Any scars that he gets in Yukurai will likely last past world switches, though less notable ones won't survive the switch.

Now for the first iteration design. He'll be around 25-26 years old and will stand at 5'11", weighing around 165lbs. He'll have skin that isn't quite pale and isn't quite tan, just somewhere in between, though its quite dirty and his scars stick out quite uglily in the form of great brown marks. Since it's primal, he'll have shoulder length, knotted, greasy light brown hair and a decently sized beard that looks similar to his hair, coming down to maybe halfway down his neck. He'll have small dark brown eyes, maybe with a crazed look to them, I haven't quite decided on that yet. If we're talking primal like animal skins, he'll be wearing all different sorts of animal skin clothes, but I'm not sure of a design yet. A notable thing about him in this first design is that he has a very broad face, and that he's got quite big ears. Attitude-wise, he'll likely be quite a savage person with a bloodlust. He'll long for fights and will be quite aggressive due to a combination of the new look, and also confusion at his new world. He'll calm down over time and just become a normally aggressive person. Chances are he'll get into at least one fight.

Roland’s only memories of his birth family are also the worst night of his life. The rebel soldiers entered his home and forced him at gunpoint to kill his mother with a machete. Five years, Roland wagged war across his homeland of Congo. He was a soldier the boys called Dead-eyes. The other children would give him a wide birth. They didn’t know that every time he seen his eyes it would be his mother’s eyes looking back at him as he killed her.
The war had no borders and when Roland turned fifteen his kill squad ran into a Nato peacekeeping squad as they crossed into Angola. The Nato soldiers were led by a Japanese Coronel named Oda Kosuke. Kosuke-sama watched as a scrap of skin and bones held a rage like the great kamikaze that destroyed the Mongol fleets. His mind cleared and made a pact with his soul.
For six months Roland spent time in a forced rehabilitation camp. Roland was completely silent left alone to his grief and self-hate. The camp was led by a group of American do-gooders that tried psychologists, and when that didn’t work priests. They couldn’t understand why Roland would remain silent and fly into a rage when he was forced to look into a mirror. He broke a man’s noise who tried to force him to look into his Dead-eyes. His mother's eyes.
Then Oda Kosuke-sama arrived with adoption paperwork. His presence was like an island of calm in a whirlwind. He wore a suit and spoke politely to the staff of obnoxious, know it all, Americans. Kosuke-sama took Roland to his family’s estate in Sakata, Japan. There, Kosuke-sama spent every waking moment teaching Roland meditation and education. It took a year for Roland to speak and when he did it was in broken Japanese. Roland soaked in all that he was taught. He was like a thirsty tree in the desert.
His name was officially changed to Oda Roland Seiichi. He is now 25 and just graduated Magna cum laude from University of Cambridge with duel degrees in Japanese and African studies. He was also Captain of the Kendo Association. He was writing a speech he was going to deliver to a CNN reporter when he heard the life altering words pulling him into the realm of Yukurai.
Seiichi has three characteristics that will follow him through any world reset. One- His eyes remain those of his birth mother, deep pools of sadness/compassion, they are light brown and often called almond shaped. Two- Bushido is at his core it is what Kosuke-sama used to forge Seiichi’s tramatic past into spring steel. Three- When he became a Master in Bushido, he received the Oda family tattoo of a Cherry Blossom Tree in bloom. At each root one of the kanji for the eight Bushido Virtues acts as the foundation for the tree of life.
Seiichi appearance in the first incarnation is that of a lean black man with a wild mane of an afro. He sought after the straightest stick he could find and he wears a loin cloth.
