With that, after Ben had done his work, Constantine snapped his fingers, and with that, the incomplete barrier finally materialized, effectively blocking their way without any hope of penetrating through. The talismans glowed a cyan as a corresponding barrier of pure magical energy formed, with of course only a small gap that was otherwise blocked off by heavy rubble.

While the mages -- those who remained on the other side of the corridor -- tried hopelessly to blast through despite their best efforts, the blonde man let out a relieved sigh, fishing his hands through his pockets again. "Good show, mates. If you don't mind, this calls for an indulgence... for me, at least."

"And you're sure they won't be able to break through?" Zatanna inquired as Constantine took out his so-called indulgence, lighting a cigarette and having a nice smoke, taking a moment to respond to the raven-haired magician as he turned around, his trenchcoat fluttering slightly with his movement as he faced the other way.

"Mmph, mmhmm," Constantine uttered profoundly, before eventually pulling the smoke out, letting out a soft puff before looking at Zatanna, "It ain't like I'd go through the trouble of having to chant some old codswallop for a barrier that'd just be as effective as something you could conjure up at a moment's notice. Those tossers ought to just find another way around if they wanna get to Origin in a timely manner."

"Speaking of Origin, you mentioned that its general direction is likely down the hall on our own end?"

"Aye, lassie. And the sooner we can get there, the sooner we can make sure it's under a trustful eye," the man responded, before gesturing for everyone to follow his lead, moving forward with that.

"... They really are persistent. How many of those guys does this Revan even have under his belt?" Touma idly commented, feeling a little uncomfortable at the sight of the mages uselessly continuing to shoot spells at them, as though they didn't realize nothing they could immediately cast could break through the barrier. Following Constantine along with Zatanna and Carissa, the boy let out a relieved sigh, though he knew there was no time to celebrate this small victory that was hardly to last.

"Anyway, is everyone alright?"

With a beeping noise and a flash of green light, the walking nuclear meltdown known as NRG had transformed back into the human Ben Tennyson. Radiation levels drastically dropped.

"All that intensity for a bunch of minions. Can't say I'm looking forward to the big boss," Ben adds, "then again, they were pretty coordinated for your typical low-tier minions, and practically limitless. The Revanchist is a lot more prepared than we might think."

Ben looks to Touma and nods, "I'm good, and you?"

Quentin blinked his bleary eyes, not really understanding what was going on. He mostly kept to himself, just following the crowd- not even pay attention to the others words.

Honestly, Quentin was kind of becoming desensitized to this whole new place, new hell type deal. He was just happy to not be covered in his own blood or being hunted down by some crazed killer every two seconds. Quentin barely even realised there was a fight happening moments prior, too busy swimming in his own head. In his defense, no one had even really noticed him tagging along. He yawned, rubbing the sleep out of his eyes as he walked closer to the others.

Putting his arm on Quinten, his patted the young guy on his back. Wiping the sweat of his own brow, he turned and pulled away.

"You okay, man? That was, umm, a lot. Oh nice beanie, by the way. Shit! Where's my manors? I'm Ellis .

Still nearby the boy, Ellis looked at Zatanna. This whole situation, Ellis felt useless. Sure, he normally was when he helped out, but this? This felt different.

"Miss Zatanna, are we all gonna die? Normally I feel unstoppable, but this? Tell me you gotta plan?"
@Ver @Yun Lee @Crow @Josh @Alex Azure
"I'm fine. I'm not looking forward to whatever's waiting for us later on either though. If that onslaught was just a drop in the water, all things considered..." Touma responded to Ben, putting a finger to his chin.

"Mad lad's been planning this a long time,"
Constantine piped in about Revan, still enjoying his smoke, "Whatever that bloke's plannin', he needs all the firepower he can get. They say he's got at least three entire armies under his finger, at minimum. And who knows just who exactly stands in his ranks, and what they're capable of? Especially after Othinus..."

As the group stumbled upon Quentin, Zatanna gave a slight wave. "A straggler? How'd you get over here?" She asked him, before Ellis turned his attention toward her, the raven-haired woman uneasily side-eyeing him.

"I mean... once we reach Origin, we just need to push back the Revanchist for as long as we can, preferably until they need to retreat," she answered, "As long as I can help it, no one's gonna die."

"Everyone dies eventually. No need to fear it,"
Carissa said from the side. "Being paralyzed in the face of it will just bring it closer to you."

"Thank you, Carissa. Your input is wildly appreciated," Zatanna spoke irritably.

"I'm fine too, or whatever." With all that nonsense out of the way, Severa went ahead and started healing whoever needed it. With everything finally back to normal, it was a good time to practice her healing skills. "Revan can throw whatever he wants at us. If we could handle a Magic God, we can handle him!"

Quentin jumped at the feeling of someone touching his back, craning his head to face the man beside him. He looked about his age, he blinked owlishly at him, at the man spoke at high-speed; complimenting his beanie and introducing himself as Ellis.
In return, Quentin gave an awkward smirk and nod.

"Thanks, I'm Quentin." Before turning his attention to the other voice speaking to him- which belonged to a pretty woman.

"I uhh, just followed people I don't really know how I got here," he said honestly, a shrug rolling of his shoulder.

@Ver @Yun Lee @Josh
"Oh, GAWDS. You just stumbled into this whole mess?!" Eesh! "Look, we can't have a liability on our hands right now, so take this." Severa practically shoved her lamce into Quentin's arms. "I'm a better healer than a fighter, so I don't need it. You'll probably be better with it than I am. Oh-I'm Severa by the way."

@Space_Candy
"So you're not affiliated or working with the Coalition or UN?" Ben asks Quentin. "Maybe we'll have to figure a way to send you home... but we're kinda in a situation now."

Ben then turns to the new person with a smile.

"Anyways, the name's Ben, Ben Tennyson.

So you don't remember much before you came here, huh? Think there's a chance you... well... hit your head and lost track of it? I might be able to help with that."

"I don't think I'm too worse-for-wear. Severa's staff can top off my aura and keep my powers going, but I hope we get a little break before the next big fight. Definitely hope that barrier will hold." Mason rolled his shoulders and stretched his body. He took another look around the room, taking a quick headcount. He muttered names to himself. "...Ben... Princess... then we picked up Constantine... Oh?"

"When did we pick you up, Quentin? I mean, at least you have a weapon in hand, now. If there's anything else you'd be more comfortable defending yourself with, let me know. I can whip up something before the next fight."

"So, these mutilated corpses were all with the Revanchist?"

The lithe alien that had assaulted the 'Tasmanian Devil' had long ceased its assault upon the (apparently) well-spoken beast when Gregorio made his entrance. Deoxys hadn't accounted for the fact that it could have peered into Hugh's mind to divine his true intentions, but the heat of the moment turned the Pokemon to action. Deoxys stood humbled, though it maintained its speed forme and kept a wary perimeter around Hugh where he stood.

"I have a question. It is ultimately Clea and Merlin's choice of what our plan is, but, is there any way we may locate and regroup with the other teams?"

Deoxys looked to Clea. "There does not seem to be a visible exit from this storage. However, if we are expecting more enemies, we may wish to remain here."

The pokemon deferred to the leaders of the team, tilting its head as it continued to stare at the wounded Hugh. A fascinating creature, Deoxys had more questions to ask of him, but they would have to wait.

"Ah my alien looking friend, you just have to look a little closer," Gregorio replied to Deoxys.

"While protecting all these artifacts is important," Clea replied. "If the others fail in their task then it's a moot point. If you know a way Gregorio we'll happily take it."

He nodded. "You do not have to worry about the safety of this place. I've beckoned for more help in keeping them secure, but I shall lead you the way out of here."

So these bodies... All these corpses... They were Revanchist.

Schala didn't look to comfortable with that, even if they were from the other side. Such brutality just... Wasn't her style, even if she did understand these were somewhat desperate times.

"What did they look like? The Revanchist that you... Found?" Schala asked, gingerly looking around at what was left of the corpses strewn about.

Of course, their team work could use some work, but she personally wanted to get a good idea what the Revanchist forces were capable of. Surely they didn't just send mundane footsoldiers to try and take down something like a great spirit, right?

"Like a bunch if LARPing dumbasses," Hugh responded to Schala. "You'd think if that they were as powerful as everyone says that they'd have some proper equipment." He shrugged. "But what do I know? I'm just a big scary Tasmanian Devil."

Quentin stared blankly at the girl as she shoved a spear-like weapon into his hands; shocked by the gesture. He opened his mouth to speak as the girl introduced herself, but was cut off by a teenager's booming voice questioning him. He looked to the boy, caught off guard.

The guy- Ben smiled, clearly waiting for Quentin's response.

"I-uh, I'm not really sure of any of the words you just said- I'm just kind of here?" He said, brows knit.

"I don't think I hit my head, but I'm barely awake- so who knows?" He shrugged again, another person approaching him. He smiled as he spoke, before rubbing the back of his neck while stretching.

Neither Wade, Will, or Corrin could hear Morrigan as the world around them began to melt. It was becoming hard to discern what was up and what was down. All three felt the urge to fall tot he ground and go right to sleep... at least until something cut through the air. Meira's sword was out, but she seemed to be dissipating the strange bugs that had gathered around the group not with her physical sword, but one made of magic.

70ufCEN.jpg

"I bet you could get a pretty crazy high off those bugs, huh?" she said casually.

The group began to come to their senses, the hallucinogenic properties of the bigs disappearing now that they were gone. "We are lucky one of you is slower than the rest," Morrigan said, turning quickly back toward the waterfall. "Let us leave this jungle immediately." She then led the group the rest of the way through the foliage and to the waterfall.

Morrigan reached through the waterfall and clasped the distinct physical outline of a doorknob, She pulled it open and sent light spilling through the water and enveloping her group. When they next opened their eyes, they found themselves in a rather featureless room. Amid the white walls and in the middle of the white floor stood the Great Spirit, Origin.

“Ah, in no time at all,” Morrigan said. This seemed to be a positive outcome, but as Morrigan started forward, another group appeared from magic portals in the center of the room. It was clearly a number of Revanchist mages. Morrigan caught sight of Anders as he stepped up to Origin. The Great Spirit only stood there, for he was no fighter and could not protect himself.

Morrigan shook her head. The emergency measure would have to proceed. It kicked in just as Anders’ eyes glowed a brilliant blue. Everyone present in the House of Mystery was enveloped in a new spell.

As the group led by Zatanna and Carissa, joined by Constantine, ventured through the halls of the House of Mystery, Zatanna’s eyes narrowed slightly, the magician placing a hand to her temple as though concentrating on something, stopping dead in her tracks. “... We’re close. I can feel Origin’s signature now.”

“So why’d you stop?” Constantine inquired with a furrowed brow.

“Because of this.”

Suddenly, the area around the group began to glow a vibrant white, the walls and even the ceiling they stood upon turning pitch-white until it overwhelmed their senses completely.

***

"So... I know this is a rather odd time to ask this, but... what is everyone's shirt sizes?"

The group accompanying Casta and Ingrid was now traveling down a long spiral staircase, down towards what Ingrid was sure was Origin. Taking the lead, the blonde girl glanced behind her to the other Coven member. "Don't tell me you plan on knitting everyone here a sweater!"

"Well, why not? You all worked incredibly well back there! Consider it a thank-you for all the hard work you're doing for the Multiverse. I can even knit scarves if you'd prefer…" She eyed Blitz. "Though I may need more yarn than usual."

"We can worry about that later," Ingrid stated, as they reached a threshold. "We're here! Origin will be just insi--"

She didn't have time to finish as the white light took over.

As Gregorio promised he’d lead the group further into the warehouse stopping next to a couple of large crates. “Hugh, if you’ll do the honors…”

Changing back into his Lycan form Hugh proceeded to push the crates out of the way revealing a worn door behind them. “I sense a strong power behind that door,” Merlin replied. “We’ve found what we’re looking for.”

“The house does help in times of need. Thank you for this Gregorio and Hugh. Stay safe.” Clea and the others bid farewell to the duo and as they turned around the corner Clea opened the door showering them in bright white light.

In the next instant, everyone stood outside a grand architectural masterpiece known as the Buckingham Palace.

AuTrA62.jpg

The Revanchist mages were here in full now. There was quite a few of them. Even Morrigan was surprised how many had been teeming inside the House. Thing was, the fact that they had gotten so close to Origin meant no more chances could be taken. “We have to route out the Revanchist forces,” Morrigan commanded grimly. “Not a single one must be left standing!”

Thankfully for her, this trap had been anticipated. Surrounding the Buckingham Palace was almost every single member of the Multiverse Emergency Unit, combined with Carissa’s forces from the United Kingdom and members of the Inquisition from Morrigan’s home of Thedas.

The Inquisitor, Abelas Adahle, made the order and sent members of the Inquisition to descend upon the Palace. The Revanchist mages rapidly spread out, some teleporting to quickly make up ground. Spells began to fly from both sides as the Buckingham Palace became a battleground.

Other mages allied with the Inquisition came forward, led by a rather dapper man if he said so himself. "It feels rather swell to be fighting alongside you again, Inquisitor!" said the man, none other than Dorian Pavus.

"It seems many of these so-called 'Revanchist mages' are little more than apostates from our world."

Amidst the chaos, the forces of the M.E.U. clashing destructively against the Revanchist, a small group of hostile mages caught sight of the newly arrived group, one of them pointing his finger at them. “Enemy reinforcements! Put them down before--!”

Shhk!

Suddenly, a sharp, piercing sound rang through the air, and in a flash, blood suddenly came pouring out of the mages from their midsections, before they sank to the ground wordlessly, as though dead in the blink of an eye. In their place, a man with blonde hair, dressed like an elegant butler, complete with a suit and tie, was seen crouched behind where the mages once stood with his arm outstretched, clutching a sword in it, before moving to stand straight up again, swinging his sword at the empty air as if to let the blood fly off, and then putting it back into the sheath hanging from his waist, his movements swift and elegant like a samurai. With that, he turned to face the group, a serious expression on his face.

unknown.png

“Good to see you again, Lady Carissa, and good to see that you are unharmed,” he said, addressing the woman in red herself, “If I may, I stand by my earlier protests of not being able to accompany you in the House of Mystery, but I suppose it’s moot either way.”

“Aah, Knight Leader, so good of you to join us. Of course, I made that decision because you’re the only one of us who’s… really even allowed back here,” Carissa let out a soft laugh, an assertive smile on her face despite her sheepish-sounding words, “But indeed, maybe it doesn’t matter so much either way. Best save the banter for later. We’ve other concerns right now, after all,” she went on, drawing what appeared to be a metal shard almost seemingly out of nowhere. “We’ve got dogs to put down, after all!”

“Wait, where did you get that fro--?!” Touma began to exclaim.

“You know where, don’t be so prudish. What are you, French?”

“If you’re done…” Zatanna sighed, her palms glowing with potent magical energy, “Let’s get to work! Go wild, but stay safe! We’re not on the side that considers ourselves expendable after all!”

From there, the metal shard in Carissa’s hand glowed a bright blue color, before extending into what looked like a sword of pure light, a cocky smile plastered on her face as she faced forward.

“Right, then! Charge!” She exclaimed enthusiastically, leaping forward into the fray, with Zatanna following… and with Touma and Constantine bracing themselves behind.

"You don't have to tell me twice!" From out of thin air a motorcycle like craft materialized.

"Get ready, everyone! We have a job to do!" Casta stood her ground, a bit uncertsin as to where to use her powers. Fortunately, a voice nearby gave her an idea.

"Oh, GREAT! How am I supposed to heal anyone in this giant battlefield! It's not like I'm a Pegasus Knight and can fly anywhere!"

"...Pegasus, huh? I can work with that."

"Eh?!?!" Severa suddenly found herself seated on a very strange Pegasus. Made up entirely of lavender light, it flew up into the air, controlled by Casta via use of a light sigil she also constructed.

"Hold on! We have a lot of people to heal!"

Meanwhile, Ingrid leapt right in to a pack of mages. "Hooh-hoh-hoh! I do hope you'll all make for entertaining opponents!"

"Hey, aren't you the Dorian guy from that thing?" Ben asks, before looking towards the Revanchist mages. "I don't think we have any catching up to do, but if we do... it can wait!"

Ben then looks towards the enemy forces.

9gljR64.png

"I'd love to catch up with all you guys, but... you know... Quentin, stay close to me or anyone from my team. You do not want to get caught up with those guys right in front of us. Let's see how these Revanchist mages love a fistful of HUMUNGOUSAUR!"

d2d0ae8268fd4325d969a64ad01fdf16f128af4a_hq.gif

Ben smacked his watch down as a flash of green light veiled him. This transformation, lasting a mere split-second, split him into particles and compressed his anatomy into a hovering black-hued four-sided pyramid before the light disappeared, no Omnitrix emblem present whatsoever. This pyramid whizzed about the battlefield in a strange pattern, pausing everytime he needed to make a turn. The sheer force knocked the mages away.

Soon, this triangle began to turn red with each step it took. Tentacles emerged from its sides as the triangle cracked and shattered like an egg.

Out came the baby, hued like gold and with extensive tentacles to accompany his rubbery physiology.

he4bcZ7.png

"Woah? Who's this alien? Is this the new guy? What should I call him?" he spoke in a voice most raspy. Based on how it was conveyed into the various minds in the radius and not from any mouth, it was likely a form of telepathy.

Following its reveal, the strange being that one could infer was Ben sparkled. Ben looked at his new arms, then at Deoxys, then back at the task at hand.

"Eh, I'm sure I can figure things out myself. Get ready for a load of whatever this is!"

Ben's new transformation charged an orb of chaotic blackish-crimson energy into its tentacles-turned-palms, before releasing it at an armada of the Revanchist mages, blasting an alarming number of them back with the attack in the form of a powerful energy beam and creating a very obvious clearing and burn marks on the floor.

"And next up is my super special- huh?"

This form's muscles twitched, but overall, didn't seem too keen on moving. He found himself panting as he constantly hovered in one spot.

"Wait, wait, what's happening?"

Whatever happened, it seemed to be a type of fatigue that left Ben's new form vulnerable as more of the Revanchist mages gained on him, smacking his new body with attacks, physical and ranged alike.

"Ow! Ugh! Ah! Why can't I move!? Hey! That's my videogame hand- or tentacle!"

Fortunately for Ben, the Revanchist mages attacking him would feel pressured, with gravity piling over their bodies and them putting in more effort than usual for less efficient attacks. This added pressure on the mages attacking Ben would make them more vulnerable to anyone else who wished to pick them away.

But right now, these mages horded over him like zombies after brains, complete with the being's lemon-hued and green tentacles flailing away from the horde.

Will summoned War Song, wasting no time in charging the holy sword with Quintessence and leaping into the air with a battle cry.

The Keeper came crashing down with a mighty blow that completely incinerated those below her while sending the ones a few paces ahead flying back from the backlash.

She was up in a second, blocking magic bolts with her sword and cleaving through bodies like butter. In another lifetime, Will would have abhorred the thought of taking life, but as she progressed in her duties as peacekeeper and guardian, sometimes the only way to protect life was to take from others. And these mages gathered here today deserved no mercy. Will had been there when the first Great Spirit had perished. She had also been part of the group to face Othinus and her madness.

Never again.

"None of you are leaving here alive! This palace will be your grave!"

Will slashed down another mage, before snapping her fingers and causing a lightning bolt to come screaming down from the sky to zap the enemy behind her to ashes.

"Too easy."

"Like a bunch if LARPing dumbasses," Hugh responded to Schala. "You'd think if that they were as powerful as everyone says that they'd have some proper equipment." He shrugged. "But what do I know? I'm just a big scary Tasmanian Devil."

***

From there, the metal shard in Carissa’s hand glowed a bright blue color, before extending into what looked like a sword of pure light, a cocky smile plastered on her face as she faced forward.

image.png

Following its reveal, the strange being that one could infer was Ben sparkled. Ben looked at his new arms, then at Deoxys, then back at the task at hand.

"Eh, I'm sure I can figure things out myself. Get ready for a load of whatever this is!"

Ben's new transformation charged an orb of chaotic blackish energy into its tentacles, before releasing it at an armada of the Revanchist mages, blasting them back with the attack in the form of a powerful energy being and creating a very obvious clearing and burn marks on the floor.

"Did they not use magic...?" Schala asked, raising a brow.

Regardless of the answer, she eventually left with the others, smiling towards both Gregario and Hugh, even offering a polite curtsy.

"Good luck... And may you both live long and happy lives together." She said, bowing her head lightly.

With that, she headed through the door, finding herself diving headfirst into battle... Regrouping with the others. It seemed this would come down to an all out war of sorts. The Revanchist forces were no doubt unwilling to compromise, and so... Neither could she.

The fate of the multiverse rested on their hands now...

...

Preparing to cast a spell at a range... Intending to break the enemy's formation with a large explosion of light and darkness, she suddenly halted seeing Ben transform.

He took on the form of one of her allies she recognized; Deoxys himself, and seemed to be getting a good handle of himself.

She in the meantime had begun making her way towards him... Casting various spells to repell the Revanchist forces coming her way.

Though she wasn't in a hurry, instead focusing on putting a dent in the enemy forces... At least until she noticed him struggling.

Closing her eyes, letting her instincts guide her through the Revanchist swarm for a moment, she chanted a few distinct arcane words under her breath, in an effort to envelop Ben's body with protective magic, hoping it would be enough to shield him incase he was caught in the crossfire of what she was about to do next. The spell was a bit more potent, as she was improvising by using the dreamstone shard she had given him earlier as a conduit for her magic.

Concentrating, she said something more comprehensible, remininiscient of the spell she had used against Jiren just a few days ago.

"From the darkess beyond time... From the light that shines within me... I summon forth the power to smite my foes..." She said, her head aching a little with the strain of maintaining that protective spell around Ben as she cast her offensive one.

A wave of what looked to be shadowy tendrils washed over a number of Revanchist that had gathered around Ben, as Schala concentrated, a dot of white light suddenly appearing amidst the darkness... Growing in size as it built up magical energy within it.

"Daybreak!"

With that shout, a sudden, thundering explosion bloomed amidst the number of Revanchist swarming Ben, clearing the way for her to reach him, as she hummed quietly, forming a circular wall of stone to surround them... Blasting away the few Revanchist that might still be too close in proximity with bursts of electricity.

"Ben... Are you alright?" She asked.

It was risky, splitting her attention like this, and ceasing her humming... As she was straining herself mentally to keep that stone barrier up just a little longer... But she hoped it would give them at least enough time to form some kind of plan, after she was sure he was going to be fine anyways.

Even to her, it was obvious that he wasn't in the best state to fight yet.

"Ain't no rest for the wicked, I suppose. I like the way you work, Princess Carissa. Now let's get to work!"

Mason charged forward, just behind Carissa. Pulling out the wand he made earlier, it quickly flashed with aura, charging up. He pointed the wand towards the mages and fired off a few bolts of fire. Retaliation for his poor barrier earlier? Regardless, he laid cover for himself and Carissa to get close. Once they were in range, he'd switch tactics. With a quick twirl, the wand disappeared in a puff of smoke, its glow transferring to his mimic Yato. The blade grew in length just the slightest bit. He slashed at the closest mage.

He only stopped his attack for a moment, watching Ben and Schala. "You alright there, Ben? Watch your time and stamina! Maybe now isn't the time to test out new forms!"

The green and golden mush one might call Ben Tennyson regenerated and returned back to the shape of the form he previously took.

"I've neeever been better, Schala..." Ben's new form shook his head to shake his giddiness off and returned proper. "Thanks for the assist, but I think I'm all recharged. Pretty badly damaged, but recharged nonetheless."

He looks towards Mason.

"Well, I was going for Humungousaur. But I guess you're right. Come on Omnitrix, give me Humungousaur!"

Ben's form prepared to smacked the Omnitrix emblem on his belt area, only for the Revanchist mages to decimate his right tentacles away with an attack that seemed to be aimed towards someone else, launching a chunk of the stone barrier away in the process. It slowly regenerated back.

"Ugh."

He did the same with his lefties, only for the the same thing to happen. This one, too, was an attack not aimed for Ben, but a stray blast, aimed for someone else in the group.

"Oh, come on!"

In a fit of rage, a strong telekinetic force surged through the Revanchist forces from the two holes formed, knocking them back with great intensity. As Ben's form's eyes glowed brightly, he used telekinesis on the Revanchist forces, causing them to spin around the stone barrier like orbits, then slamming them into their comrades, one by one.

Next, he assumed a meditative state, and during this, any magic attack that struck him dispersed instead of ripping a chunk of him off. Afterwards, he charged great spheres of water in three tentacles, aiming them through the holes.

"Hey! Uglies! Or... whatever you look like! Surf's up!"

He released the first sphere of water at the forces as they burst and rippled, dealing damage.

"This is for ganging up on me!"

Second sphere launched.

"This is for my right arm!"

Third.

"This is for my left!"

The rippling, pulsating spheres of water spread out, creating a gush of water that pushed them back further. Additionally, a good fraction of those hit with the attack became confused, causing them to hit themselves and attack allies.

"I don't know what just happened but I think it's working," Ben's form comments, looking at his enemies get confused.

Ben's form's body seemed to alter in shape as sudden bolts of attacks prepared to strike the stone barrier, layers upon layers of gold and green forming over his body in mere split-seconds. With the weakening stone barrier giving in to enemy attacks, it was likely that another strike would crumble it.

"Schala! Mason! Quentin! Look out!"

His form altered to a bulkier-looking form as a green-hued translucent barrier formed around him and the allies closest to him. This barrier dispersed as soon as all was good, but the stone barrier had officially given in. This form initially wrapped its tentacles around its body and tucked its leg, but soon undid it.

QaVoFmA.png

"My turn," Ben's form spoke as his tentacles altered their shape, transforming into what seemed like the ends of hoses or cannons, before a refreshing-looking purple liquid was launched out from them and at the opponent. Any of the Revanchist forces that were hit would be inflicted with poison that slowly sapped their health away if not cured.

During this, Ben Tennyson would be exerting his pressure.

He winced as Connor came in to toss his textbook, Dorian finding that to be a terrible use for the academia. A burst of magic erupted from behind Connor, sending his attacker flying back.

"You need to arm yourself properly!" scolded a girl, getting Connor's attention.

Gratefulness poured from Dorian. "We'll all be going out for drinks after this!" he said with a laugh. "My treat!"

Mages were falling left and right to the might of the M.E.U. forces, though some were quite hardy. The mages practiced a number of different invocations, though it was the ones who suited themselves in armor made of magic and carried brilliant magical swords that seemed to be surviving the longest. Some of the mages saw how the tides were flowing and fell back, only to take out knives and other sharp weaponry.

"Blood magic," Dorian seethed, watching the mages. "Why am I not surprised?"

Cutting into their own skin, the blood mages began to summon forth horrible visions from the beyond. Even here in London, England, the veil between the living and dead could be reached through by the mages native to the world of Thedas. Taking from the Fade, the demons sprang forth into being, going mad and beginning to rampage amidst the battlefield.

Quentin was extremely confused as it was if he completely teleported to a new place. His face twisted to anxious as he was now in a large crowd, and the other crowd didn't seem friendly. All of sudden, he heard a woman instruct to Charge!!
He was frantic as people flew past him, weapons in hand ready to attack. His brows furrowed, hearing Ben call for him. He walked over to him, floored as he transformed.

One of the mages sprung at Quentin, and out of reflex, he stabbed through it with the lance.

Maybe he was here for a reason.

He heard Ben yell out again, warning him this time- before he was engulfed in a barrier.

Castle had ditched the bike and gone in for some more close quarter combat and using his snazzy guns to eliminated the competition. He almost seemed happy with the arrival of the weird looking demons. "Awesome!" He exclaimed taking aim with his guns and firing towards some of the nearby demons.

Through the carnage he spotted the man from earlier, the guy who had caused all of them to split up. The bad guys would probably be bummed out if he ended up getting killed. So with a gesture of his hand the guns disappeared and the Rider's chain was in his hand. He wanted to get close to this man. "Haven't used my Penance Stare in awhile...he seems like a good candidate. Hey hold up! I want to show you real despair!" Castle shouted after Anders as he made his way towards him.

The battle raged on around the palace and in the thick of it was a woman by the name Wanda Maximoff, others knew her by the name Scarlet Witch.

This however had not been her mission. She had been out there looking for Billy Kaplan, her son, well a son of sorts, it was quite complicated but the familiar bond was there all the same. Wanda hadn't wanted to break off the search but the MEU needed her and that's why she was here. Perhaps it was because she was thinking of Billy that a few of the demons were close to getting a drop on her if not from some timely help from her allies.

"Soul fist!" A projectile in the shape of a bat hit one of the demons in the side with such force it evaporated on the spot. Another was slammed into the ground by what appeared to be a piece of a heavy stone bridge.

"Oh Wanda,"

"Yes, we aren't always here to save your hide." The other was Midna, Princess of the Twilight Realm and ally to the MEU. It seemed that they had literally pulled in anyone that would hear their call. For that Wanda was very grateful for the time being.

"Thank you both for the assistance, I was momentarily distracted."

Morrigan smirked and nodded. "Of course you were, but I hope you will have your head in the game for now on."

Wanda fired a hex bolt over Morrigan's shoulder towards an attacking mage. "I think I will." Perhaps this battle is what she needs to clear her head before she starts her quest anew. With that she joined with her MEU sisters to push back the demons and mages that were swarming the area.

"Benjamin Tennyson, you have no idea what you are doing."

An unmistakably authoritative voice spoke over Ben's telepathy, piercing the edge of his mind and directing the boy's attention upward. The air screeched with a sharp hiss as shimmering lights consumed the sky above the boy and his allies, before flinging forward - a crackling orb of swirling red energy sailing ahead towards a group of Revanchist mages that emerged from the corner, already preparing to strike the transformed boy from behind with a lightning spell.

DEOXYS used PSYCHO BOOST!

A wave of force threatened to blow Ben, and anyone nearby him off their feet as the enemies vanished in a loud explosion of psychokinetic power, becoming naught but dust after the orb had made its destructive impact, vaporizing them in the blast. The source of the light show made itself known as the one, true Deoxys descended next to its bulkier brother, having adopted a new form.

The move seemed to have charged it with even more psychokinetic power, a purplish glow rising off of Deoxys' body like steam. Even Ben could feel the raw energy radiating off of it, humming with the same frequency as the energy he had used to fire that destructive beam just a few moments before.

"You are full of surprises, boy," the alien eerily remarked as it ran its eyes over the perfect mimic of its defense form. "It has been a very long time since I have seen another deoxys, even if you are just a copy of my DNA sequence. So, that is what that device on your wrist does."

Deoxys lashed a tentacle out, wrapping around the other Deoxys and yanking it closer, despite the two being in the middle of a warzone. The two aliens were now staring at each other, their 'faces' just a few inches apart. Deoxys' pale eyes seemed to look right through Ben's alien features as it tilted and lifted its head, squinting and readjusting its sight to get a thorough examination of every single pore upon the copy's face.

It was like Ben was at the dentist if his dentist was a freaky alien.

"Yes, a very close copy."

Deoxys released its grasp, pushing the other Pokemon away with telekinetic force. "I would not have allowed you to scan me with that device if I knew you were going to misuse my moves. You are lucky that Hyper Beam makes a distinct noise; otherwise, you would have endangered yourself and everyone around you in the time it takes for our body to recover from such a massive discharge of energy."

"You will turn back n--"

Dorian paused in his spell slinging to give Ben a curious look. The kid was a bit older, but Dorian believed he did remember him from the strange incident half a year ago. "Why, yes," he said brightly, "I am indeed the Dorian from the thing. It feels so good to be famous."

He winced as Connor came in to toss his textbook, Dorian finding that to be a terrible use for the academia. "My dear Connor, I'm glad you took some of my advice, but I told you that you should have taken up a vocation of Thedas by now..." He found himself distracted by an incoming mage, not noticing until too late as another teleported behind Connor, ready to sink his blade into the back of his partner. "Connor--!"

A burst of magic erupted from behind Connor, sending his attacker flying back.

"You need to arm yourself properly!" scolded a girl, getting Connor's attention.

"Books are not proper weapons, trust me." Elizabeth Comstock conjured a sword and handed it to Connor before turning around to throw spells at the incoming mage masses.

The air began to turn thick and heavy. The acrid smell of blood permeated throughout the battlefield. Things were about to turn messy.

Morrigan had been watching Anders intently, recognizing him as the commander to this army of spellcasters. He had men and women flank him as he and a smaller garrison moved to invade the palace. Morrigan knew exactly where he was going.

"I will be following that one," she said, making a run for the palace. "He must not be allowed to go any further."

An explosion in the distance silenced Deoxys for a moment, as it turned to look toward the sound of yelling, footsteps, and humming magical energy. A demonic roar filled the air between the two of them as Deoxys sensed a new presence enter the battlefield. It looked back to Ben.

"... The power of two deoxys may be necessary now. Remain in your defensive form and cover our allies, I will remain on the offensive. Use Protect, Iron Defense, and Mirror Shield to bolster the strength of your arms and carapace. And, above all else..."

A single tentacle poked Ben in the crystalline gem encased within the center of his torso. That touch alone felt like Deoxys had just jabbed him in the heart.

"Protect your core. You are Deoxys. This core composes everything that we are. Good luck."

Deoxys nodded to the other Deoxys, beginning to exert a pressure of its own as it lifted off the ground and turned to face the sound of torturous roaring and blood splashing against solid earth. A quick flight over led the alien to find itself hovering meters above the battlefield where the bloody demons had begun to pierce the veil, emerging onto the battlefield.

Deoxys, still empowered by the boost of energy it received from its Psycho Boost, soared down towards a wave of the demons, fanning out four tentacles and channeling more power from within its core. A rumble, not unlike rolling thunder, radiated from Deoxys. Golden arcs of electricity began to jump between its tentacles, buzzing with growing power before spilling outward in a wave of light.

DEOXYS used ZAP CANNON!

The thunderous energy seemed to split the air in two as a roar of crackling, powerful energy overcame the gnashing and bloodcurdling calls of the demonic forces, sailing down towards them from above. A fraction of the demons that attempted to push into the MEU formation were struck with a continuous beam of electricity being launched from Deoxys like a cannon, scorching anything that could be considered flesh.

Those demons that weren't immediately fried by the electricity, if it even hit them, had their movements seized by an overpowering paralysis. Demons, however, were strong; Deoxys wouldn't have assumed that they would also be slowed down by electric paralysis, let alone affected by it all.

For that reason, Deoxys dropped from the air before anyone had the bright idea to fire at the source of that dazzling light show, touching down to the ground between the encroaching demonic forces and any allies that were left standing.

Deoxys spared no words. It leaned forward in a battle-ready pose, the alien glaring at the forces of oblivion approaching it.

Severa continued to press on, using her staff to give their side fly-by healing best she could as Casta drove her all around the battlefield. Suddenly, a Revanchist mage launched a fiery attack her way. "Watch out!" Casta swerved the Pegasus sharply to the left, but the mage continued to launch attacks.

"W-Woah!!" Severa clung to the light construct for dear life, seeing the mage get closer, black bat wings keeping them close. Suddenly a red flash sent the mage flying to the ground. A red spear stuck out of their chest as a pool of blood formed around them. The Pegasus landed down by the body as the spear's owner appeared as if from nothing.

"Well, well. If it isn't my little loudmouthed pupil! Putting my teachings to good use, it doesn't seem."

Severa grit her teeth. Of all the people to show up...! "Oh, save it! Lances aren't my calling, that's all!"

"Whatever you say." Without warning, Lancer hopped onto the Pegasus, wrapping an arm around Severa's waist. Severa's face turned red as her hair.

"You...you degenerate!!! Get off!"

He flashed a cocky grin. "Oh, relax. I just need to hitch a ride! Take me to the palace so I can reunite with my Master, will you?"

"Casta will, I won't!" Severa hopped off the horse, letting Lancer fly off towards the palace itself. She started walking through the battlefield on her own. "HEALING?! ANYONE WHO ISN'T REVANCHIST SCUM NEED HEALING?!?!"

*snap*

Those with Anders would find themselves the target of a sudden ambush, as lightning struck all around a few unlucky souls in the edge. The source of the snap stepped forward, an unbelievably tall woman in teal clothing.

"I'm afraid you won't be getting in there," Gerudo Champion Urbosa said, drawing her sword and shield. "Medea!"

A woman in a black cloak stepped forward, a wicked grin on her face. "Hmhmhm...this will be quite fun. It's been a while since I've made pathetic magi squirm." She raised her hands, calling out, "Macgia Hecatia Graea!!" Beams of light appeared above the Revanchist forces, raining down powerful energy in a relentless attack. "Surrender now, and your deaths will not be nearly as agonizing!"

Will had followed Morrigan, wanting to get to the bottom of this. She deflected more Revanchist spells before decapitating one unlucky soul and turning his allies to skeletons with a single blast of Quintessence as she made her way over to follow Morrigan.

"I've got your six. Let's end this asshole and make things right."

The Keeper continued to slay any foe standing between her and the path, clearing the way for the rest of the party.

Heat and energy crackled and exploded in the air, picking up a wind that tossed dirt and blood across the battlefield. Deoxys' attack was the flashpoint, setting off a chain reaction of superheated energy that cascaded across the demonic forces. The blood mages became lost in the carnage while many of the demons exploded into a spiritual mist. While the M.E.U. forces were spared the blast, the putrid smell that came off the rapid death made them feel sickly.

Out of the smoke and wreckage stood a hulking monstrosity, only its silhouette visible at first. It took a few giant steps forward, being revealed as the smoke cleared.

The monster roared, cracking the ground beneath its feet. It then leaped into the air and crashed down in the middle of the M.E.U. warriors. The impact was so harsh, debris flew up into the air and crushed some of the men and women.

The battlefield had darkened under a cloud of death, but when a bolt of lightning came down from the sky, the entire area was illuminated harshly. The sheer power of the bolt crashed down on Ben's group, disabling Schala's shield and sending them sprawling. Quentin got the worst of it, getting slammed by some of the debris thrown by the pride demon and giving the boy a cut across his chest.

"HEALING!!!! ANYOBODY NEED-oh. Of COURSE." Great, she gives the dude a lance and already he's totally making her look bad! Rolling her eyes, Severa made her way to Quentin, using her staff. "What did I say about being a liability?!" Quentin would feel a very slow, but gradual healing. "Ugh! You may as well just stay by me, if you're gonna keep getting hurt all the time!"
