"After all I've done for you.." Rowan growled, squeezing her neck to make it hard for her to draw a breath. "I've taken you in, dressed you, raised you.. And you decide to question my authority..? Perhaps I have made a mistake in taking you in, you useless little welp!" He then lifted her with ease and tossed her to the side like a rag doll.

"Anything else.. Would you like to add?" Rowan's voice had changed to an eerie tone of calm. It would be a test, one that could likely get her killed if she failed.

Felix nodded, "Yeah, just with Alyssa breaking shit the whole night. Why are you askin'? Damn, Jason, what's goin' on?"

Why was he being such a pain in the ass suddenly?

"She can vouch for you? Good." There was a crash from the other room, doubtless Rowan continuing to give Alysa a lashing, "... though you might want a backup plan."

Jason shook his head, grimacing and keeping his voice low. "Someone tipped the Bloodstones that their pup was at the Casino. You know Rowan made a point of asking about your brother, Scrappy. I know you're no rat, but people will talk once word gets out we have one. But so long as you weren't off the grid at the wrong time, you're fine. I'll shut them up."

The ability to breathe semi-normally was quickly lost upon Alysa when Rowan squeezed her neck tightly. Panic boiled to the surface, replacing the rage, but she did nothing. No, she knew better than to try and fight back against her leader, even if it was just to get a breath. Instead, she took the verbal lashing, bracing herself for the impact upon the ground. He was a lot stronger than her and no amount of preparation stopped it from hurting when she hit the floor. Crouching down, she glanced up at him, taking a moment to calm her breathing all the while ignoring just how much her throat hurt now.

“…No.” She just glanced away, knowing better than to make any movement or say anything else without his permission.

Felix's face reddened like an erupting volcano. His nails bit into his palms so much that they started to bleed. "Yeah. Yeah, I'll shut 'em up too," he snarled viciously. "Because I'm going to kill Dom! I'm tired of being associated with him anymore, especially for this kind of shit!"

"S'alright," Jason slung an arm over Felix's shoulders, patting him on the back, "don't you worry about it. We'll put an end to him, and each and every one of that pack of mutts." His voice was laced with reassuring bravado, but behind it lurked a dark anger. There was enough weight to every word to make it clear that Jason meant exactly what he said, even if he had to crush the life out of each one of them personally.

The larger man grimaced, "Tonight didn't go as smooth as we'd hoped. Raven and Lyon are dead. We've got Cascastel, but Baron might not be dead. And you know as well as I do which of those two Rowan'd prefer. He's not happy, so keep your head down."

Rowan snarled but walked away from the girl. "Good." He half growled, half shouted. He was angry. Not many had come to his call. Where were the rest? Surely they hadn't lost this many.

He was angry, very angry. The wolf would be out tonight.

When Rowan walked away from her, Alysa shifted her attention towards the closed door, wanting to bail out immediately. Slowly climbing to her feet, she rubbed her throat, swallowing carefully before letting out an inaudible sigh. It wasn’t like her to question her leader and the thrashing she just received was a painful reminder not to let it happen again. He was so pissed off she didn’t want to be in the same room with him anymore, mostly because his rage was making her beast want to come to the surface.

“I’ll leave you be...” She picked up the bat that had fallen out of its makeshift holder, sliding it back where it had been previously. Without another word or even glance towards Rowan, Alysa made her way to the door, a little unsure about having her back to the angry man.

All she would feel would be the soft prick of the silver blade he had used to try to cut Baron's throat open as Rowan came up behind her and placed the blade to her throat.

"You. Aren't. Going. Anywhere." His voice was a growl, and his form was threatening to shift. "I told you to come here. You aren't leaving unless I say, bitch."

Felix raised a hand to clasp Jason's shoulder, letting out an agitated hiss of air through his nose. "Yeah. Better be soon, too," he said.

When he heard of all who had died, he wasn't quite sure how to react. He hadn't been terribly close to the other members, but they had a certain camaraderie that made it shocking enough. He didn't let it show, though. "Well, damn," he grumbled.

It took everything not to wince when he heard Rowan screaming.

The hairs on the back of her neck stood at end seconds or maybe moments before she felt the cold steel on her throat. Falling absolutely still, Alysa left her hand on the door, afraid to do anything at that moment. It was obvious that she had messed up a lot and if she wasn’t killed, she was going to use this as a learning objective. It was difficult to keep from swallowing, but she was sure that the slightest movement could cause the blade to cut her open. Her hand slowly dropped from the handle and she stood there, feeling the anger swallowing her up. Silently reminding herself to keep calm, the young adult closed her eyes, willing the beast to remain inside of her. If she shifted, he would rip her into pieces, of that she was one-hundred percent sure.

“Understood.” One single word was all she dared. Remaining where she was at, Alysa hoped that would placate him and that he would go back across the room away from her.

Jason raised a hand to ruffle Felix's hair, "You're good. Just remember, head down," he nodded, before stepping back around into the room with Rowan.

At that moment, the door downstairs swung open with a bang. Sasha edged through, keeping the door open with her foot while her hands were occupied with supporting Nazia. Both were evidently injured - Sasha's clothes were torn and bloodied, with bullet-holes in several places. She breathed a sigh of relief as they croshed the threshold of the safehouse. There'd been enough chaos tonight that she'd been worried they'd be picked up by the police, or worse, before they reached safety.

"Almost there," she grunted to her packmate, "Just gotta get up the stairs."

Nazia grunted and bit the inside of her cheek again. Her pants were stained with her blood, and her skin was extremely pale. Most was to do with the fear of gaining Rowan's wraith. But she also feared what Rowan would do if they didn't show up.

She leaned heavily on Sasha up the first stair, hissing in agony as the pain shot up her leg from where the bullet had lodged itself. "Rowan's gonna kill us, isn't he.." She muttered under her breath.

"Yeah," Sasha grimaced, "Probably." They'd been idiots to stick around after torching the damned bar. Of course there was going to be enough of the bastards there to put up a fight. If they'd all gotten out alive, it would have been bad enough... but losing Michael because of it?

"I suppose we can hope he's in a good mood..." she muttered as they ascended the stairs. Sasha herself didn't seem as visibly afraid as Nazia, instead her face was set in grim anticipation. If it was a beating she was to get, it was one well deserved. If she'd put a quick end to that little bitch, instead of playing with her, then she could have helped Nazia and Michael sooner. She could have made the call to pull out before it was too late.

Sasha was angry at herself, and resolved to accept the punishment Rowan saw fit.

Nazia nodded quietly, but all hopes were banished as soon as they got to the top of the stairs. Rowan's anger could be felt, as though their minds were linked. "So much for that.." She muttered.

Sighing, Sasha merely nodded her head, shooting Felix a glance as they moved past him and to the door.

"Me and Nazia are here, Rowan," she said quietly, her eyes lowered. "Michael didn't make it."

"Like always..." grumbled the kid.

His eyes popped upward as their other two pack members came up. He stepped forward. "Y'all got fucked up pretty bad. Careful, Alyssa's already not having a good time in there."

Rowan held her there for what seemed eternity. She would feel his presence leave her, the knife no longer sharp against her throat. "Now. Sit." He demanded. "Jason!" He shouted. "Get those two in here. They have some explaining to do." His voice growled.

Nazia seemed to shrink slightly against her partner. She already was not on good terms with Rowan, and now she feared for her life. But to run now, would make her life forfeit for sure. That is, if she could even still run without dropping dead.

As she stood there waiting for her throat to be cut open or to be released, Alysa heard Nazia and Sasha returning and wondered how their escapades went. Her attention returned to the situation at hand the minute the cold steel left her throat, but she still made no attempts to do anything until commanded. The second she was told to sit, the redhead did exactly that, her back immediately pressing against the wall once the bat was placed down beside her. Tugging her knees up against her chest, she laid her head down upon them and just waited for the next order. She had been careless and forgot her place for a moment, something that wouldn’t happen again. At least she was still alive to file that lesson away in her mind for the next time she was irritated. Flinching a little at his growling voice, she shifted her gaze away from her leader and tried to keep from swallowing too much until her throat was no longer sore, which wouldn’t be that much longer unless he decided to take his anger out on her again. She wasn’t going to draw attention to herself in hopes that the beat down didn’t occur again.

Jason nudged Sasha and Nazia through the door, roughly but not so rough to take them off their already unsteady feet. Sasha's expression remained grim, and she paid Felix no mind. It was too late for being careful. They'd lost that chance back at the Den.

She kept her eyes lowered as they entered, "We fucked up," she said quietly, "Thought the Den wouldn't be well guarded with their attention elsewhere. We were wrong."

She dared not make eye contact. She barely dared breathe.

Jason snarled from behind them angrily for their stupidity, but he held his tongue in anticipation of Rowan speaking first.

Felix was far behind, trying to do exactly what Jason told him to: keep his head down. He saw Alyssa at the corner of his eye. He didn't do anything. Didn't even twitch a finger. Any act of compassion would have Rowan on top of him faster than an Aschen soldier spotting a xeno.

Worse, even. He might order Jason to do it, and neither of them were going to enjoy that.

Sasha and Nazia, however... he was hopeless there, too.

Rowan was silent for the longest time, his blue hues glowing as he glowered down at Sasha. His expression was unreadable. He looked like he had frozen in his rage, but the wheels were turning in his mind. Then something happened. His face cracked into a grin, a small one that made him seem a boy again. Innocent and pure then turned to sinister as it spread a bit too wide, a throaty chuckle escaping in short bursts.

Soon, he was laughing hysterically.

He threw his hands up in the air, that all-too-wide grin still on his face. "Yes! Because there would be no one guarding Baron's place of residence!" He exclaimed sarcastically. He moved closer to Nazia and Sasha. "You two are right geniuses, you are!" He added.

Nazia flinched and wished anything to be anywhere else at that moment. "W-w-we didn't th-th-think that it would go so badly.. W-we would have gotten out with Michael too b-but.." She cut off, shaking too fiercely to continue.

Alysa shrank further against the wall at Sasha’s words, knowing that Rowan was not going to be pleased one bit. Her eyes darted towards the door and for a brief inkling, she thought about fleeing, but knew that would get her killed. Instead, she just kept still and silent, silently acknowledging Felix, wishing she had been smart like him and had kept her mouth shut. Her bottom lip found its way between her teeth and she chewed upon it. When Jason snarled, she felt her stomach clench up and she bit harder upon her lip.

Crap… this is bad… She was getting good at thinking things to herself instead of voicing them, a lesson she learned the hard way. However, at the sound of Rowan laughing made her stomach turn and she had to bite back the bile that was threatening to make itself known. She feared for Nazia and Sasha because she had no idea what he was about to do to them, but something told her it wouldn’t be good, especially since Michael was killed.

"We were fools," Sasha agreed meekly, "I won't make excuses. I can only promise it won't happen again."

She kept her head lowered submissively, much as she loathed to do so. She knew well enough to swallow her pride if she wanted to survive this failure.

Jason grimaced behind them. As far as he was concerned, they deserved whatever was coming to them. Their stupidity had cost a pack member his life, even if he'd been part of the stupidity himself, it was beyond unacceptable.

Off to the side, Rachelle continued to silently stare out the window from where she'd all but faded into the background. She'd ignored Alysa's beating, and seemed liable to ignore whatever came next too. Her eyes were on the street outside.
