Strength of Steel, Will of Iron
The sun hung high in the sky, projecting the Mage's Tower the unnaturally tall building whose height is only matched by its importance to the Lerner Empire. Within its walls were hundreds of mages of all ages, from the young two year old children to war scarred veterans of near fifty years. These mages will spent young years in the tower, never leaving unless they were called upon by the Empire to march to the frontlines. Many of these mages won't come back, and those who do are often allowed a moment's respite, only to be called upon once again for war.
Those who are too young for the war are instead taught the magical arts, primarily to use for battle under the watchful eye of the Headmaster, a shadowy woman who's runs the entirety of the empire and its assets, making sure every student and staff did what they are supposed to. Anyone who strays from the schedule or The daily lives of the students are as follows.
However today it seems that the schedule had to be placed on hold, as the entire tower is abuzz with news of a rebel cell who had infiltrated the city, and more importantly had infiltrated the Tower itself. All students are to be taken and interrogated while their personal belongings are searched. Your characters are part of this search as the rebels suspected to be between the ages of 15-25.
One by one your characters are taken into dark and noiseless rooms, with the only ones inside are masked guards and a cloaked person. Their identifies hidden by metal face plates and a shadowy hood respectively. They force you to speak, asking you these questions.
1. What is your name, and age.
2. How did you come to the tower?
3. How long have you been at the Tower?
4. Do you have regrets living at the tower?
5. Have you ever had thoughts of leaving?
6. Have you ever tried to leave?
7. Do you like it here at the tower?
8. What do you think about the empire?
9. Have you considered leaving the empire if you could?
10. If we were to accuse you of being a rebel what would you say?
