Appearance/face claim: Alexis stands at around 5'4, also having olive-colored skin and hazel eyes She has a somewhat lean, athletic build, with long, somewhat lanky legs and an oval-shaped face. She has thick, wavy, dark brown hair that mostly cuts off around the bottom of her neck, taking after her parents, who were Indian. She lived in Louisiana for a majority of her life, but as soon as she was allowed to move out, she started traveling to other places, finally settling on one of the Caribbean islands, where she's been living for a year or so.

Here's the active thread. Posts are not required to be long but I would like a fairly set posting order, so please give everyone a chance to post before posting again. Haytham DID start a bar fight, but just give your characters reaction/action to the whole thing and after the first round it will settle a bit. I don't envision this to be a long drawn out fight.
If anyone wants to join after the expedition has started, the crew will have to make some stops along the way so we can pick up more crew along the way.
This is the map I'm going off of, in case anyone is wondering, Nassau is near the top and if you go south and a little bit east, you should be able to see the island mentioned in the first post. Go forth and pirate. Yo ho!

His backstory is pretty simple. He's just an orphaned street rat with a sharp mind got particularly good at stealing. Even managed to educate himself a little bit. He's joining the crew because the nobles have finally caught on to him and banded together to have him made an example of. It's from them that he got most of the jewels, the rapier and his prize possession: the four barrelled pistol.

He has long; wavy inky black hair usually bound in a loose ponytail at the nape of his neck and is adorned with unusual livid green tattoos tracing the contours of his cheek bones. He’s oddly alluring to women; even those not usually attracted to “his type” and has been on a few naval crews in his career. But oddly, he was forced to leave every job he’d been offered due to unforeseen circumstances. His most recent voyage having been a companion for an all-female crew on a 13 month voyage. He’s actually the half-breed son of a Siren taken captive by a pirate crew who managed to outwit her Siren Song and turned her into their personal treasure abode though they quickly grew detested with her when they discovered she was with child and sold her and her child into slavery where they spent a few short years until Azazel was old enough to be separated from her and was sold again at the earliest opportunity where he was groomed into the perfect escort. Azazel played his part, but the events in his life only festered his hatred for humans, and pirates in specific though he turned his situation into an advantage when he discovered he could use his charms to get his revenge and set about selling himself to the highest bidder, waiting until they were far out to sea, and sabotaging the vessel, usually failing to leave survivors in his wake. Over time he found himself trying to get back to Siren Cove – where his mother had been taken from – hoping to find his place among the Siren-folk. Or at least hoping they would take in a half-breed male Siren.
Siren form is conjured only when fully submerged in water - if he stands a puddle, his feet become webbed/turn to fins depending on the depth, wadding will result in half conjuration, etc.
