Main Event Shadow over Gotham

Getting closer to the pizza place the group found it to be locked. Bruce decided to take matters into his own hands and elbowed through the glass on the door to get to the lock. "I'll pay them back when this is all over," He said to the rest of the group as he pulled the door open and let everyone enter.

Inside they found a quaint looking Italian pizza place with white and red decor, it looked like about thirty people could be seated at max. At the other end of the restaurant they'd find an open kitchen where the chefs would be slaving away during open hours. There was enough light for them to see and Bruce did not plan to reach a light source and reveal their location. "There has to be a back door somewhere..." It was a barely audible murmur from Bruce as he made his way to the back kitchen area. Despite all that though...Bruce was uneasy. He felt like he was being watched.

Aquawoman pushed the group on. "Orca said we just had to get through the park, yes? Let us quicken our pace!" Behind them they could start to see the dark silhouette of the creature taking form, if they were lucky they could out maneuver it. Nor did actually know if it was even coming their way. Soon enough though per Orca's instructions they'd find themselves at the wall that separated the park from the city. "Now we just have to find the gate." Luckily they only had to trek a little bit down the side to find it and were in the grimy city once again. "There, according to the map we are a stone throw away. Just through this area and we will be at the docks." The streets seemed quiet and calm, but Gotham had paid tricks with them before already.

"Thank god..." Harper muttered as she trekked on, wanting to reach the docks already.

Although he talked a lot, Felix wasn't an idiot, so he stayed silent as he searched for an exit.

"Well, what are we waitin' for, then? Let's get a move on!" Aoko said eagerly, balling one hand into a fist and hitting her other palm with it, a sign of enthusiasm as she itched to reach their destination, and get out of the line of sight of the giant rock creatures patrolling the city already. With that said, she continued to move forward, ready for anything that may come their way.

"If I know my Pizza places, and I do... Most of the time the backdoor is in the kitchen." Dante exclaimed, doing just that and heading into the kitchen. However to his surprise, there was no backdoor there. "What?! Then how do they receive their ingrediants at a fast pace? Especially when this one is so well built and managed? God this town is weird. Sigh..." He then walked out of the kitchen back to the main group. "Any luck on your ends, guys with that backdoor?"

Dante would feel a sharp slap to the back of his neck from none other than Felix, who was holding his index finger to where his mouth would be if it wasn't obscured by his helmet.

"Shut the fuck up! Do you want us to get caught?" Felix whispered in an annoyed tone.

" . . . " He then did as requested and continued looking on his end, going back into the kitchen for more investigation.

"Huh? What's happening?"

Ghostfreak's arms clasped its skull-like head. Mixes of Ben's regular voice and Ghostfreak's raspy voice emerged from the spirit-like entity.

"Did somebody say pizza? No! This isn't possible. Move aside, Ghostfreak, this is my body, and my stomach. And my tastebuds too. Not for lon- gah!"

Ghosfreak's tentacles were retracted as the second layer of skin grew back. The emblem of the Omnitrix was visible once more.

"Ugh... that... didn't feel so good... and uh, where's the pizza?"

Ghostfreak looked at his surroundings.

"OK... I'll see if I can go invisible amd intangible and sneak around," Ghostfreak rasped as he did just that to avoid being noticed. "I can go through, with or without a visible back door."

Corey and Mason

As easy as it would be to split up, Mason watched the direction that Corey went into the shadows and followed the others, being close with the rest of the group. He didn't have a chance to react to the Talon's death or Ghostfreak, arriving at the pizza place with the rest of them and was quiet. " Maybe we can pick the lock."

Meanwhile, while still camflouging, Corey was shaken from seeing the death of the Talon and Ghostfreak in his monster form. He just wanted to go home now. His primal fear had kicked in and he stuck close to Felix, still heading, but close enough that he accidently stepped on his foot when they stopped at the pizza place. He didn't lose his form and muttered a soft sorry to Felix.

"Despair...?" Junko said, her head tilting to the side. "Is this about what the ahoge-boy said? Don't listen to that mere peasant, for this is not about despair. We are speaking of property values and what it means to be a duke!" Junko placed her hands on her hips. "An endless supply of babes is simply one facet of such an existence!"

It seemed Junko planned to stay behind posing rather than enter the building.

That was great and all, but Rose was more interested in the group's investigation. She followed behind Felix and Dante, wondering just what the deal was with Ghostfreak. She imagined Ben might have been touched by the horrorterrors that fueled her own weaponry, but it was not easy to say for sure with her limited knowledge of the situation.

"An endless supply huh?" He exclaimed, overhearing Junko and came back into the main room. "Tell me more." The thought of constant attention by women as a Duke certainly enticed him and wanted him to know more. If his partner were here, he would not be distracted as much.

"That's just a teensy eensy ittle bitty piece of the influence we have," Junko said, giving Dante a bit of a giggle. "You must simply get it now, what it means to swear fealty to us! Of course, it is also requested that the Junko Enoshima be protected from harm. You heard that freak of a ghost... mere mortals can be broken, thus devaluing their ability to provide you with your deepest desires. Can you do that for us, Sir Dante?"

"You, have got my attention. And "Sir Dante" has a very nice ring to it. Heh heh." He chuckled before standing next to Junko. "So. I've asked my questions. Is there anything you wish to know about me? My arsenal? My history? What I am? I'm open to your questions, and I will answer." Dante exclaimed, pretending to bow before her like a Knight would before standing back up.

The next investigation of the kitchen area brought more fruit. Dante found that the backdoor had been blocked by a shelf stocked with whatever utensils and equipment the pizzeria needed. "Odd that they would cover the backdoor up like that..." Bruce replied peaking into the kitchen.

Moving along the streets they soon found themselves outside a construction site area. It seemed to lay abandoned no doubt ever since Bane took control of the city. "Once we are through that we will find ourselves at the harbor. Watch your steps, we do not want to stumble into an accident."
 
Junko smiled widely, looking pleased with the conversation. "Very well... you simply must tell me more about this demon side of yourself. Will it... aid us during our time in Gotham?"

She was willing to join him back inside the pizzeria now that they had established a relationship.

Felix rolled his eyes as they got to the back of the store. "Maybe they were tryin' to keep Bane's possy out." Felix replied as he attempted to move the shelf.
