Oh-ho, so there's been a murder here, has there? How mysterious. How strange. How scary. How intriguing.

Going with the rest of the crowd, catching sight of the corpse of a man who was evidently too weak to defend himself against someone stronger than him, the murderous jester couldn't help but let out a small chuckle. Judging from the panicked words and expressions around, it had appeared that an actual murder was not something that had been planned for the so-called Devil's Carnival. How banal that that possibility could have been, so really, Hisoka felt that everyone should be thanking the culprit of the murder.

Personally, he had little desire to find the killer. If they had to resort to murder and feel the need to do it while nobody was looking, they probably weren't strong at all. And people weren't strong didn't interest Hisoka in the slightest. Still, if there was one thing that he did enjoy, it was a fun game. And if they could make a fun game, a carnival attraction even, out of solving this murder. A game where the goal was to find the dastardly culprit of a most dastardly crime! Like a detective game where he had to piece together the whole story. To himself, the jester figured... Sure, why not? After all, an individual could only be as strong as their mind.

With that said, reaching the scene of the crime along with everybody else, Hisoka stared, a small, calm smile tugging at the edge of his lips, at the body of Spike, his hands placed on his hips.

tumblr_inline_mudynh1Rcz1rxy3w0.png

"A slit throat, eh?" Hisoka said, cupping his chin in thought as he pondered the scenarios in which the murder could have transpired, "Well, wouldn't that be easy? After all, assuming that the body was not dragged from another spot, who's to say the murder weapon wasn't some stray shard of glass?"

"THAT'S ENOUGH!"

The raised voice shouted at the top of Bazett's lungs as she jumped in, landing right atop the sack baby that is Sam. "That is more than enough of your mockery and your taunts! I had a feeling you would be an issue the moment you waddled up to me, playing the innocent card. No more mockery, no more little hints! You will reveal it all or I will break you."

Ayumu had gripped the handle of Mysetletainn, and was about ready to carve Sam's pumpkin head into a jack o' lantern, when he stopped mid step, realising someone had landed on the child's back in the time it took him to blink once
"Er..." he stands, chainsaw raised above his head, one leg raised in a step, and a dumb look on his face as he watches the woman work. He lowers his leg, letting out the huge breath he'd intended to use to deliver his killer one liner. Shame, he had no chance to use that line right now. Maybe later, when the sack baby starts being a little shit again?

"Ummm...yeah..." he mutters, resting the blade of the chainsaw on his shoulder gently "What she said"

"Heh, heh.."

"You'll never find out who did it! Who knows who'll be the next to go by the time you do! I wish you luck though!"

Sam's true intentions didn't line up with the words his magic made however. For his fingers were crossed behind his back. Luso and anybody else who went into the mirror maze could soak their heads as far as Sam was concerned. He was having so much fun withholding details! Pushing himself off Dipper however, Sam glanced up at the man who had asked for his name and Sam nodded and then pointed for the man to look down at the ground. There he would have seen words that had been magically carved into the ground.

"My name is Samhain but you can call me Sam! :)"

---

For those who took Sam's advice and went within the mirror maze, they'd see the following.

20150708034700_2d661a76.jpg

The decor at the very least seemed to match alongside the general theme of the carnival. Keeping in tone with the macbre theme, skulls and the like could have been etched into the furnishing. But what might have caught their attention the most was how the carpeting of the maze seemed to grow darker and darker as they continued further. If anybody took a moment to analyze the darker spots on the carpeting, they'd be able to tell they were blood drops that seemed to have formed a lengthy trail.

Along the way mirrors could have been seen with sizable cracks in them, some of them even had glass shards laying out on the floor. Others looked like the impact was more focused in one area almost as if someone had struck a blow onto the mirror. Perhaps it was the killer struggling with his victim? Or was there something more to it? Given the two bruises upon the corpse's face, the former wasn't a stretch by any means. But it seems the group would have to come to their own conclusions for this.

---

For those who decided to stay near the body, Sam held up a finger as if to say 'one moment please' to Takeru and waddled back over to Hisoka and Daisuke.

"Hehehehehe!"

"Slit throats are easy! But that's not all! Take a closer look..."

If Daisuke followed Sam's request, he'd see that there were noticeable grazes on Mike's face such as the cheek, even running right over one of the bruises. Then there were other ones on his leg and arm. Clapping his hands in what almost seemed like earnest glee, Sam hopped from one foot to the other.

"It almost seems like whoever killed this man was toying with him! Taking little snips here and there before finally finishing him off! If he really was a rule-breaker than there's no more suitable a punishment that I can think of! But this is certainly one of the most malicious! Hehehe!"

Having given the group a little more of a push in the right direction, Sam turned back to answer Takeru's other question.

Or he would have if he didn't have other matters to attend to. Turning with a speed that might have surprised Bazett, Sam held up his lolipop and enhancing it with his magic, Bazett's feet pushed against the otherwise seemingly normal confectionery treat as Sam was steadily pushed back. He had underestimated Bazett before but now that he had already been struck by her, the spirit knew how powerful this woman could be and he wouldn't take any chances with her again. Least of all when she was currently trying to ruin his fun. But even so, her strength was a bit more than Sam usually dealt with and before he could fully adjust, he was sent flying back as Bazett finally smashed into the ground.

Rolling along the ground, the rope around Sam's mask came undone and as he rose to his feet, the mask which had been knocked loose by the blow slowly drifted off Sam's bulbous head and landed in a heap next to the sack baby. But Sam wasn't laughing this time around. He had been having his fun by teasing all these people who were so concerned about the death of one man and Bazett not only wished to get information out of him and spoil the mystery and game like atmosphere of it all but ruin his fun!

Reaching for wherever his lolipop had ended up after the roll, Sam hopped to his feet and looked himself over.

Didn't seem to be any major puncture wounds as far as he could see. Which meant that he wouldn't have to waste time healing. But it also meant that Bazett had come out of the clash relatively unharmed as well. Perhaps a bit surprised at how much power Sam actually had within him but nothing more than that. Still, it'd been some time since Sam found someone capable of forcing him to actually show why he was the guardian of Halloween and it's enforcer. Most rulebreakers were run of the mill humans who Sam either disposed of himself in short order or he had his werewolves/zombies do it for him. Here? There would be none of that. He'd deal with Bazett himself.

"Hissss!"

Pointing his lolipop in Bazett's direction, Sam motioned for her to come at him if she pleased. Wouldn't be any fun if they just stood around and yelled at each other now would it? Besides, she'd gone and put him in a poor mood! There had to be some resolution to this sudden conflict!

As usual Sam paid the zombie little mind. Except for the fact that now that his face was revealed once more, he turned towards Ayumu with a blank expression.

"BOO!"

Well, well, well.

Twisted Fate knelt to touch the tip of his finger to the blood marks. Rubbing the tips of them together afterward, he hummed thoughtfully before moving on. To the cracks, he tried to find some sort of pattern to them. Like for example, a head smashed into them would leave a spider-web mark pattern. A weapon slammed, would leave a different mark- Things of that nature. Because if that was the case? He voiced his opinion aloud to the people with him.

"Keep an eye out for a weapon. If the killer didn't just use their bare hands or what have you, its likely they just dropped it around here."

Ayumu shrinks backward slightly "Jeez" he mutters as he takes a few steps back, looking to Bazett for a moment. He couldn't place it, but he felt very powerful magic coming from her, and the way she was able to send Sam flying like that told him she wasn't as simple as she looked

Perhaps she was a masou shojou?"

He watches the pair for a moment, deciding he'd rather not get in this woman's way, and he'd see if she could handle herself before he jumped in. Knowing his track record, she'd end up snapping his spine by punching him when he got in the way of her strike...just like that one time with Haruna

Yeah, being sawed in half was a bitch. He didn't need that happening again

Bazett charged forward without another word, closing the distance as fast as she could. Her gloves lit up with her runes, hardening her gloves. As she came in, her fist slammed down, aiming to piledrive Sam into the ground until only his little sack head was able to be seen.

tumblr_inline_mudz6u2NRS1rxy3w0.png

"If that's the case, then with little cuts like that, all the more possibility that it could have been glass, no? And I imagine that--"

Oh, look. A fight in the middle of a murder investigation.

"..."

"Got it," Luso called back, carefully picking his way through the maze of mirrors in order to discover any sort of weapon within the labyrinth. It wasn't an easy task, given the nature of the paths, but hopefully, he would find something to report back to the man who had given them their direction and dressed like a cowboy- Who also hadn't ever told his name to Luso. That was an important piece of info he should know, and he called back through the corridors, "Hey, cowboy guy, name's Luso if you haven't caught it before. Mind telling us yours?"

Seras stood behind the group of carnival-goers and blinked. Her eyes flashed red as she saw the body on the ground. What could have happened? Surely Same couldn't have done this, no? She thought to herself. She sighed, hoping to get answers soon. She licked her lips slightly. The blood on the ground had quite the... Intoxicating scent to it.

It wouldn't be off to consider that the murder could've happened in here. Kuroko would kneel down where the blood trail started. "Well gang, seems like we found some more clues."

Looking up at the mirrors she'd see the destruction. "I wonder if there was a struggle here...wouldn't that mean that whoever the killer was had enough power to fight a full grown man?" She wasn't quite sure if anything conclusive could be drawn from this but at least it was a start.

"Fate. Twisted Fate."

He drawled to Luso as he paused at Kuroko's thoughts spoken aloud. With a wry grin he added.

"I sure hope so little lady. Might make it easier to discover."

"Hmm... I don't know about real powers," Luso called back to Fate and Kuroko, "What if the guy is just really strong? It could be they're fit kind of like me instead of having powers like some of the people here."

"No no. That's what I mean. I can't see someone scrawny like you doing it." Kuroko replied back to Luso.

Epilogue
"To Be Continued..."

Somewhere in-between worlds, in-between time, in-between reality... stood a girl.

1_A.jpg

"Why haven't you told them?..." She muttered underneath her breath, gazing upon a mysterious entity above her. "Did you forget that -
s a l v a t i o n
is revealed in the -
t r u t h?"

The entity floated above her silently, his diving helmet shrouded in a bright light.

CGqrgPV.jpg

Moments stretched between them. The girl waited for an answer, but none came. No matter. It was easy to get anything talking.

"They're waiting... You're leaving them? That's not like you." A devilish grin crossed the girl's face. How many times had the diver evaded her touch? Why here? Why now? The carnival meant nothing... was nothing. Mere toys conjured from a children's cautionary tale. It held no meaning in this world of darkness.

It was not a means of escape.

Just a dead end.

"... It is not their time," said the diver, seeing fit to answer. "It is not my place to interfere. This is... how it should be."

elysion___ark_by_vanichan-d4rxpu7.png

"Oh," the girl held a knife within her hands, toying with the sharp object as she brought it to her face. Becoming intrigued with the entity before her, her eyes were filled with interest.

"She's going to -
e n j o y
- this..."

"THIS PLACE IS HER -
C R E A T I O N !

M O T H E R !"

The slash was succinct. Symbolic. Decisive.

Mother guided it.

Mother embraced it.

The dead was for Mother to embrace, and what was this diver, but the shell of a man long dead?

It was over in a flash, the diver's bright light snuffed out, bringing darkness back to this dark world. Except-- "I am not here for them, and I am not here for you." The diver had once again rejected Mother's embrace, his light shining as brightly as ever. The girl shook with indignation at the offence. What was the diver's purpose for being here?

As the thought flashed across her mind, images flashed across her vision. A storm. A lighthouse.

Images both familiar and foreign to her. She knew what she saw, and also then knew the diver's game. He was close. Just like Mother. Her touch caressed the barrier between dimensions, so utterly close to S A L V A T I O N. The never-ending school had just been a test. A mere taste. The pieces were in place for Mother to reach beyond the stars. In Her hands was the source of so much creativity.

Thoughts running wild. Entities drawn into darkness. The carnival a mere front for the real fun.

A front that had not fooled their enemy, it seemed.

"Very well," said the girl. "We play."

The girl departed, leaving the diver to his business. Whether or not his plan was to send a message, it was sent nonetheless.

As Hisoka watched from the sidelines, seeing the people around him unable to make heads or toes of the murder before everyone, he sighed, uncrossing his arms to run a hand through his hair. How bothersome. Nobody could appreciate a good murder these days, eh? Very well. Since it seemed like he wasn't going to have any personal satisfaction of drawing out any more shock and horror by just waiting, he may as well do the dramatic reveal for those investigative types and then be done with it, no?

With that being said, he would make his way into the middle of the crowd, raising his arm into the air to get everybody's attention, and then speaking in an unusually calm and collected voice.

"Everybody, everybody. I have an important announcement to make concerning the murder of this poor soul. I'm only going to say it once, so you'd all ought to listen, 'mkay?"

With a clearing of his throat, he would spill the beans just like that, without a tinge of remorse or regret in his voice.

"I am the culprit of this gruesome murder."

Don't you feel dumb? The creepy murderer turned out to be the murderer.

With a smile tugging at the edges of his lips again, the murderer walked into the center of the stage without any fear of being attacked for any vengeful white knight, Hisoka idly sat down on top of Spike's corpse like a makeshift chair, taking a breath as he did so.

"The fact of the matter was... When I'm surrounded by so many...potent people, I get a strong urge. A desire to let my urges out, if you would," he spoke, nonchalantly eyeing Bazett, Deadpool, and a number of others, despite the strange use of words, "But of course, when you go at someone who's been making you feel those feelings too quickly, it only leaves you feeling unsatisfied. You have to tease yourself so that when you do get to the main course, you don't feel cheated, you know?"

"With that said, I didn't want to attack someone strong so quickly. I wanted an appetizer. Something to whet my urges," Hisoka said, clasping his hands together idly, "So that's why I killed the weakling. If the act of killing is like bread, then he was my butter. I used him to hold me off until I'd be able to fight someone strong, but alas, it seemed that time was not on my side."

tumblr_inline_nwt3zqV81D1rsaze3_540.jpg

"As for how I killed him... It was actually far simpler than one might think. A good hunter enjoys the thrill of the hunt just as much as killing the prey, right? So I played with him for a little," the jester explained, producing a playing card almost out of thin air, idly fiddling with it in his fingers as he continued to speak, "Stalking him like a hidden predator, I used the art of intimidation to my advantage, breaking a number of the mirrors wherever I went to give him a good scare, hence the glass on the floor, all the while I threw a number of my sharpened cards at him, hitting non-vital areas at first to lower his morale," he continued, licking the edge of the card he was holding in his hand.

"Eventually, once I had decided that it was time, I got the drop on him from behind and slit his throat. All the blood that had flown from his wound... It just made me so excited. Blood had drawn out bloodlust, and before I had known it, I had given the dead man two solid punches in the face. I really couldn't help myself," Hisoka said, his tone more like an embarrassed child accidentally breaking a vase with those last few words, before returning to a "normal" tone again.

tumblr_inline_mudz1vmV111rxy3w0.png

"So there you have it; why and how I killed the weakling. Normally, men like that don't interest me in the slightest, but I made an exception, just so I could hold myself back for those that really made me tingle," he said, giving Bazett a wink, before getting back to business.

"So now what? Will you all try to crucify me for my heinous sins? Are you even capable of such a thing?"

tumblr_inline_mudxktLmyo1rxy3w0.png

"Well, if I were you, I'd save my energy. Attacking me out of some misguided need to avenge the poor sap or anything like that will just be a waste of time and effort. Even if you do manage to down me, which I would surely look forward to if that'd actually happen, nothing would become of it."

"After all... You're all indefinitely stuck here now."

"The fact of the matter is... To pull a twist out from under the tablecloth, there is more to this world than meets the eye. For you see..."

"This world is nothing more than, quite literally, a story book, brought to life by forces even I am not able to comprehend at this moment. Perhaps the power that created this world was what drew me in, hmm?" He said somewhat playfully, before continuing to speak, "But if you want a more poetic explanation of why this is happening... Let's see... How would I word it? Hmm."

"Perhaps it can be said that this place, this story, is fulfilled like any other story when the mystery is solved and the conflict is resolved. However, the fact of the matter is, you were unable to accomplish even that. So... How do I put this? Mmm, I suppose you could say... The villain won in the end? Whether that villain would be me, or whoever had brought us all into this place, I shall leave up to you."

tumblr_inline_mudz852H9C1rxy3w0.png

"With that said, perhaps we'll have to wait for the next story in the book to be resolved, and hope that that would lead us to a happy end as we suffer from this sad end. Did I miss anything, Monseiur Loyal?"

Though Loyal had looked rather incensed throughout Hisoka's speech, his expression eventually softened, the carnival proprietor even smiling by the time the man was finished speaking.

tumblr_o4m7kgyRwW1ri3cnzo2_250.png

"That does about cover it. Aren't you the helpful little jester? You ever consider carny work?" Monsieur Loyal then cleared his throat and spoke up for all to hear."Circumstances have made it so all the tickets you've been gathering are good for life. Or, lives, if you've managed to gather more than one! Here you must stay forever, until you can no longer continue to gather tickets! You wouldn't dare break that rule, would you?"

Dipper had been listening along silently, picking apart everyone's words meticulously inside his head in an attempt to figure all this out. Hisoka's bomb of a plot twist sent the boy reeling into shock, but it was Loyal's words that brought him back to reality, or, whatever all this was.

QxO6nks.jpg

"A story book! That... doesn't explain anything, actually. But, hey-- you can't just force us to stay here!"

Leonard then spoke up, sounding almost relieved at the current events.

KS5SixY.png

"Oh, we don't have to. You just simply can't leave. Doesn't mean you can't sue. I swear, if we get one more lawyer in here--" Loyal cleared his throat once again, causing Leonard to pause. He looked momentarily annoyed but recovered with a small sigh. "As I said to some of you before, we sell fun, and we will continue to do so until the end of time if we have to. But, of course, rules must be established and maintained so that everyone has a smooth experience, don't ya think? In this case, we can't just have someone walking around murdering the other guests. I won't have it!"

Loyal craned his neck to the side, thinking this over. "Yes... Well! You all absolutely failed at solving the mystery, but perhaps we could offer a ticket on the house for getting him to confess anyway. Some of you ne'er-do-wells don't even have one yet..."

"But then, what to do about this man?" Leonard asked slyly. "Cordis might be interested..."

tumblr_inline_mudy99m5oJ1rxy3w0.png

"Yes, yes, I understand," Hisoka said politely with a small wave in response to Leonard's remark about the murdering, "I'll only beat my targeted lovelies until they're holding onto but a thread of their lives. After all, it's as I said. Fruit is no good if you try to enjoy it when it's not yet ripe, so if they're just too easy, then they just simply need to grow more."

As Loyal and Leonard would continue talking amongst each other, Hisoka would proceed to continue speaking, raising his arm nonchalantly, as though thinking nothing of what the other participants of the carnival might be thinking of him right now. "By the way... I surely could use a ticket as well. You wouldn't mind being a dear and giving me one as well, would you?"

However, upon the mention of Cordis and "what to do" about Hisoka, the magician's expression turned somewhat serious for a moment, his smile being wiped off.

tumblr_inline_mudywtOjOE1rxy3w0.png

"Though if you intend to take me away from my fruits... I'm afraid that'll have to happen over my dead body."

r0TZlmC.png

"Aren't you delightful. Do you not recall the contract you signed for me?" Leonard grinned, holding up his hands."You are obligated to do what I ask, even if that includes a harsh punishment."

"But not so fast, Leonard," said Loyal, butting in. "Our carnival is missing a jester, after all. Why rid ourselves of such an asset when it can be used for fun!"

Leonard nodded graciously. "It is our main commodity."

tumblr_o4m7kgyRwW1ri3cnzo4_250.jpg

"Then it is settled! You will work for us... indefinitely! Try and defy it if you would like, but I'm afraid it is your only choice!"

tumblr_inline_mudz7fxD401rxy3w0.png

"..."

After a brief moment of silence, as though considering the words of Loyal and Leonard, Hisoka's expression would soften up a bit as he crossed his arms, seemingly assuaged by the dismissal of the idea that he would be forced away from his other lovelies. With a small laugh, the Traitor would begin to speak again.

"Hmph. Very well, have it your way. Far be it from me to defy causality, especially when the end result works with my desires in some way. I shall be your jester then if you wish, if it means I get to continue... playing as I wish."

tumblr_inline_mudyuphp6x1rxy3w0.png

Oh, brother.

Though on the outside, Hisoka might seem like he was far more content with his fate than everyone else around, the truth was that this was only temporary. He would remain as he was for as long as the others inside the carnival with him continued to live and grow in strength for him to pluck when the time was right. However, he knew that even that had a time limit. Even in the slim chance that he would never be penalized in any way for his crimes, the fact was that eventually, he would run out of victims to kill. And then... He would have no choice but to find a way out of this place, maybe see if he could get home and see how dear Gon and Killua have grown since the last they'd seen him.

Time would tell, time would tell. Time would tell what would become of everyone, wouldn't it?

So the curtain closes on this story with that, but the book is far from over, is it not? Hisoka mused to himself, looking up at the roof of the tent, No... This ending is not an ending. But an intermission. A transition into the next story, a story in which a new cast will come up, whilst we wait backstage for their arrival.

How exciting indeed...

Cat Epilogue: A Cat Nap

Cat wasn't sure what was happening anymore... It was like that strange dream of sorts that she had not too long ago... Alot of it wasn't making any sense to her, and it was often difficult trying to make sense of what little information she had to work with...

...

Though, it was quickly becoming apparant that her body was beginning to shut down, slowly but surely... Her surroundings were beginning to become fuzzy, and an overwhelming tiredness had suddenly swept over her. From the little she could understand about what the others were saying... Was that Hisoka was some sort of pawn in this strange Carnival, and, somehow, they had lost this game before it had even begun... They were trapped here, for their foreseeable future. Perhaps it was for the best though... Even if she had never gotten to hear her fortune from that fortune teller. Cat had led a rather lonely life, in the world that she had come from; a wanderer of sorts, a stray, as one could say, who didn't really have many connections with others these days. Even though her time spent in this Carnival was brief, somehow... She felt alot less alone here, than she did anywhere else.

One would think she had a few friends, or even family back in her own world though... It was almost unnatural for someone like her to be spending their lives, as lonely as Cat was. Truth to be told, her life hadn't always been like this... As a child, she had parents, once... A family she could call her own. However, young as she was, she didn't feel that way... Her parents weren't able to spend alot of time with her, and eventually... Cat's young mind kept bringing up the notion that she was unwanted, that her parents didn't really want her around. Even then, she always tried to tell herself that her parents couldn't help being busy with work... That they still loved her, and for a while, all was well.

Then came the day she overheard her parents talking about having twins. At the time, it seemed to affirm her innermost fears that her parents truly didn't care for her... It didn't take long for her to do something foolish; she ran away, in a last effort to prove her fears wrong, to prove that her parents truly cared about her, that they would look for her... She was right, but, what happened next, was something that changed her life forever. As she ran down an seemingly endless street, she stumbled upon a blind boy, and his guide dog, out for a walk. They talked for a while, and quickly became acquainted with one another, young Cat didn't take too long to cheer up again, and she wouldn't have minded just sitting there on the sidewalk, waiting for her parents to pull by... Then, a stray cat suddenly walked out onto the road, and Cat, young and naiive at the time, walked into the middle of the road, and began talking to it... ... In that moment, she realized just how alike she and the cat were; they were both wandering down this very road, with nowhere in particular to go... Without any knowledge of where their home was... In that moment, she felt an overwhelming urge to pick it up... To comfort it... But, she didn't even get the chance to do that...

"Cat, a c...Car."

There was no time to think, no time to act... Even as time seemed to slow down to a crawl just then, as the defeaning blare of a car horn filled the air, the very same car her parents were driving... Her father had stepped on the gas, driven by guilt that, despite their best efforts as parents, Cat had run away... Neither of them could bear the thought of Cat running away, forever... As Cat had hoped, they had come looking for her... But, nothing could have prepared her for this very moment... Her father managed to turn the car's steering wheel, just enough to avoid Cat...

"CAT! NO!"

*CRASH!*

With her father's final, valiant effort... He had saved Cat's life... But, sacrificed 6 other lives in the process... The car had careened into the boy, and his faithfull dog, coming to an abrupt halt when it smashed into a lamp-post... It all happened so fast, too fast, and it was only moments later, that Cat realized she was truly alone now... In that moment, when her father had tried to avoid hitting his own daughter... The only family, and friends, she had really known her whole life... Were no more. It was too much for her young mind to bear... Hours later, when she had been brought to an orphanage, at some point... Her memory of that incident was suppressed by her own mind, all she remembered at that orphanage, was running away... And then, everything was blank, with only the knowledge that her parents were gone left in her mind.

Years went by, and Cat led a relatively normal life... She got a job, she had her own apartment, and on her free time... She often liked to take walks throughout her neighborhood, spending her time wandering the local streets just to think to herself. It wasn't the most thrilling life, and a rather lonely one... But, Cat felt indifferent to it at the time, until that fatefull day she wandered down the streets where it had all started... Where that fatefull accident that killed her parents occurred, and soon enough, lead by fleeting memories, she found her old house... And, eventually, her memories of that very incident that made her who she was today, all came back... But now, she was ready for them, despite how much it hurt to know what had happened... She was ready to accept that what happened, happened now.

She could still remember the burning wreckage of her family's car, the mangled remains of the lamp post, and... That stray cat crossing the road, and the blind boy, who had taken it's picture so long ago... She never even knew his name... But, she had sworn to herself that she wouldn't forget him... That she wouldn't forget any of the people that were lost that night... When she saw a stray cat crossing.

...

Cat's mind was becoming too clouded for her thoughts to continue any longer, and almost autonomously, she found herself laying down on the ground... Curling up, almost like a cat would as she closed her eyes, a few tears managed to sneak past her eyelids just before they closed... And then, she was asleep. It seemed that she would be hibernating for quite a while, depending on how long it took for her, and the others stuck in this strange Carnival, it was like her body had just shut down, in order to pass the time they'd spend here faster. Strangely enough though, despite the oppressive nature of this place she was in, for the first time since that fatefull night of the accident, she didn't feel alone... Knowing that there would be others like her around when she finally woke up... She almost felt at home in this place...

End - Wake Me When You need me
