In favor of the Goddess- 11
Against the Goddess- 5
"By a difference of 6 votes, this War Council has voted in favor of my proposition. The Fellowship will go to War with the Blackheart's 'Godless' and their forces in Hell." Luthor grinned.

"I shall forward our decision onto the Wider Council in due time. In the mean time, I suggest you keep what we spoke about today between us. We can't afford for any Godless Souls to catch on to our plan, can we? And I suggest you all take the time to rest up... we've all got a big day tomorrow... to say the least..."
"I hope you're proud of yourselves..." Veranke growled. "I've seen wars like these. I've lived through them."

"There won't be a winner. There's never a winner."
"So long as Blackheart loses, that's fine by me..."

The Goddess Act 1, Chapter 1
Path of War--- the Hellions
With the first meeting of the Fellowship's War council at a close, the Goddess' Chosen were escorted from the Highest Council's chamber by two Goddessian Guards. The rest of the day was quiet. Uneventful. A pleasant dinner in the Temple's mess hall and a silent night in your private quarters. Plenty of time to recuperate. Plenty of time to think about what you've done.
In the early hours of the morning, the War Council was summoned once against and directed towards the Temple's star-ship hangar.

The first light of morning burned its way through the hangar's open doors. The reflective hulls of the Temple's silver star-ships and war-machines sent shimmering lights dancing across the hall. Hundreds of pilots and soldiers rushed about the hall, shielding their eyes the best they could. They were young. Fresh faced. This was to be their first taste of war.
"Councilors!" Luthor called to the Chosen from across the hangar. He stepped away from the larger warship at his side and yelled a few parting orders to the technicians at his side. With a dozen nods, his men continued to load crates of explosives into the ships' cargo bay, each one marked with the Goddessian Crest.
A tall, white haired man glided behind him, his arms joined behind his back. His eyes never met the Chosen. He was always looking past them. Always looking through them.
"You're right on time. I briefed the men a few hours ago. Our plan is already in motion. In a matter of moments, our ships will be ready to take flight. 2,000 bombers, courtesy of Nox's Empire. 5,000 volunteer star fighters. A Grand Warship or two. Needless to say, we've assembled quite the fighting force, and that's without Veranke's help. We'll crack Blackheart's prison open like an egg. The Devil won't know what hit him."

"All this talk of devils and demons..." Lex's companion sighed. The Kai's body was tense and stiff, as if he was permanently standing on ceremony. "We shouldn't stop with Blackheart. Once we've raided his prisons, we should push our advantage. We could advance into Mephisto's realm. And Hela's. And Angela's. We could purge Hell. We could eradicate the demon scum for good."
"I trust you've heard of Councilor Zamasu, Councilors. He ascended to the Highest Council shortly after the death of his Master, Gowasu, shortly after the fall of the Citadel."
"Yes. The Goddess wasn't gracious enough to resurrect all the casualties of Blackheart's attack. Nor did she grant him the dignity of a quick death... Still... I do what I can to honor the life he lived. I've taken his rank, and I wear it with the pride and dignity he was denied."
"As Goddessian and a High Council Member, Zamasu's authority is second to mine and mine alone. I trust that, in the coming battle, you'll obey his directions as if they came directly from me."
"That you for your support, Luthor..." Zamasu placed his hand over his heart and bowed ever so slightly, his expression unchanging. His eyes never met the Chosen. Not even for a moment. "I trust theses mortals have the capacity for obedience... Now... if you'd excuse me, I have a meeting with Councillor Nox. I wish to go over our strategies with him one final time."
With a squint and a heel turn, Zamasu vanished into the crowd of bustling pilots.
"You'll have to excuse him. He's... abrasive. Proud. A touch radical. But he's a hell of a fighter, and he's got 12 universes backing him. He'll be leading the air assault, so you might end up seeing some more of him.
"I've taken Big Mother's suggestions to heart; this operation isn't just a rescue mission. It'll be a morale booster. It will give our men something to fight for. Something to die for. But we can't send them off to war alone. The entirety of the Highest Council- Zamasu and myself included- will be fighting beside them on the front lines. I'm expecting the War Council to do the same.
"Our Intel tells us that Izana is being held inside one of Blackhearts most formidable fortresses, the Black-Box Prison. If we're going to get inside, we're going to need to separate our fighting force into two teams: a Ground Team, and an Air Team. The Air Team will be in charge of escorting a fleet of Imperial bombers to the prison and blast us way in. It should be a fairly safe mission-- Those of your who cannot already fly will provided with your own star-fighters. Top of the line imperial tech. The best on the market. During this mission, the Air Team will be answering to Zamasu
"The Ground Team will be responsible for raiding the prison. You'll be working alongside Captain White and his team. Whilst you're completing your missions, my fellow Councillors and I will draw Blackheart's forces away from his fort with a series of distraction-attacks. It's up to you where you fight, but know this-- the Council, the Fellowship and, most importantly, the Goddess will be counting on you. I trust you'll fight with all you have."
